My bride was looking for a smaller economical wireless keyboard for our bedroom. She likes to sit in bed at night, play her favorite game, watch a Netfilx movie or hopefully soon learn Facebook to keep up with old friends and family!

Excellent keyboard, very easy to set up. Low profile is a plus if space is a concern. Blue light not a worry if you install it on the back of your computer (if you have the port) or if your computer is under your desk. Love the feel of the keys.

This is a well designed, well made keyboard. Very thin, but very sturdy. The only thing I don't like is that there are no indicator lights for caps lock and num lock. Not too big of a deal, though. Very happy with it.

Really nice keyboard, not heavy and cumbersome like other keyboards. Keys take a little to get use to because they are almost flat, but that is just me. I like the usb plug in instead of the wired port for the cordless, but overall it is a great product and I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Not a bad price either, My sister went out and bought one too when I told her about it.

This is a solid keyboard that is comfortable to use, i.e., far fewer typos because of odd hand position. For those of us who are fast typists, the keyboard is perfect. I am using mine with a Sony VAIO desktop. The only function that I cannot perform with the keyboard is changing the screen's illumination. Sony has it on its keyboard and is part of the circuit board's internal circuitry. No bigee--this is something that I can live with, or without in this instance. I seldom change the screen's brightness. This is the best keyboard that I've used, even an improvement over Logitech's Illuminated keyboard for feel and speed.I use the keyboard in its flattest position, which means that my desktop serves as a wrist rest, which works far better than keyboards with built-in wrist rests.
The mouse
What's all the negative hoopla about the mouse? It works fine: the additional downward pressure required to activate the left/right clicks does not hinder the use of the device in any way

I bought this keyboard along with an HP Wireless Mouse as well for several reasons. Some being to unclutter my desktop and so I can move them out of the way so I can do school work on my desk. There is only one true drawback to this keyboard. but it does not affect me. The USB Reciever blinks a blue light with every keystroake. This is not a problem for me, since the computer is below my desk and the reciever is pluuged into a back USB Port. Buy this keyboard!

We got this keyboard to hook up to our Sony HP Laptop and we were amazed by the amazing performance and thin design of it. The setup was very easy. All you have to do is plug in the wireless USB receiver and it automatically installs the driver and you can start typing!

Overall this is a good wireless keyboard. Just remove the battery strip, plug in the USB receiver, and load the CD software. The keys are pleasure to type on and the slim design keeps it from being heavy or bulky. I use it with my laptop and don't have to touch it since the keyboard also has the media controls on the functions keys along with a sleep button. The only negative (if you can call it that) is that the USB receiver lights up on every keystroke. This isn't a major issue but can be distracting. If you have rear USB ports and plug it in there, you won't notice it. After a while you don't pay too much attention to it. I haven't had any problems with it and would recommend it if you are looking for an easy to use wireless keyboard without spending much.

Purchased for home theater application. Keyboard worked well at 15' away from the USB receiver.
But the receiver has a LED light that BRIGHTLY lights up EVERY time it receives a keystroke. In a darkened home theater room, this was really dumb and annoying.
Maybe there's a way to turn it off, but I didn't find it.

This thing is so nice... Looks great on my desk! Takes a little while to get used to using but it is so nice! Fits perfectly in my laptop bag along with my laptop!

I looked at several keyboards before I decided to go with the HP wireless elite and I'm glad I did. However, be sure to watch Amazon before buying as the price tends to flux about $10 any given week. Please note, I was used to working solely on my laptop keyboard and it still took a little bit to get used to this keyboard. It is not exactly the same feel as a laptop nor is it like a normal desktop keyboard, but the over all feel is solid, the construction is top notch. After reading reviews I expected the keyboard to be lacking in construction/design but it feels very high quality! The only annoying thing about this keyboard as many others stated is the BIGHT blue light on the USB receiver that ignites every time you press a keystroke. This was fixed within the first five minutes of opening the box. Simple cut of black electrical tape over the display window 100% solved the issue. As far as speed, I ran a typing test and I was about 6 WPM faster on this keyboard.

This keyboard has a solid all plastic construction. The keys are flat, well spaced, and fell good to type on. It is also very thin and light. For the price, I think it is a great deal especially because it is wireless.

I have been using this keyboard for a few months now and it is great. The keys are very quiet and that is what I needed. Only downsides are that it isn't very comfortable and the quality is a little poor. My 7 key still works but it has quit popping up once you press it.

I bought this KB for my home PC because I wanted something minimalist and simple. I also liked the style (all black with silver trim on each end). It was such an improvement over my Logitech MX5000 at home as well as my Logitech EX100 at work that I ordered a second one for my office shortly after the first. I have worked in IT for over 10 years and am very observant and picky about my computer accessories. I have probably used 30 different keyboards extensively. I have never been more impressed by a keyboard than now. These keys are very shallow and responsive. This required some major adjustment when I first got the keyboard. If you transition between this and other keyboards that have keys that are a "normal" depth/stroke, you might have trouble. If you are used to typing on laptops, then you'll feel right at home. The keys require very little effort to press so you can really lay down text at a rapid pace. I can comfortably type at 90+ WPM on this KB. The keys also feel like they are

I was looking for an ideal wireless keyboard that has a ideal price, weight, usage etc. I found this keyboard of hp for less than 30 dollars. I received it and tried it on my mac and I basically hooked up the usb port and thats it. The good thing is it has good wireless range so you can sit even further from your computer or TV... Shortcut buttons like volume contrast brightness work with my mac. So its just an ideal wireless keyboard especially for this kind of price.

To me this is the best keyboard ever made for a few reasons: 1: It is designed like a laptop keyboard and similar to on a laptop, you can type a lot faster on it. This is something I didn't realize until recently but you really can/do type faster on laptop keyboards. 2: All the keys are nicely sized (including the F keys) and placed (I like the big delete key layout typical to Logitech but not for Microsoft). 3: While it comes with a CD for the software, you do not need to install it - the function keys still work even when you do not install the software. Another plus here is the function keys work just like on a laptop - you have to hold down the function key to use them which i like a lot. 4: This keyboard is in a word: concise. It does not protrude out, up, across, or in any way more than needed. It is efficient with space and doesn't have any of the "crap" that in the end we almost never use. It truly is a laptop keyboard for your desk. 5: The annoying light the USB stick

I use this keyboard for World of Warcraft, along with writing various papers for school, I have had no problems. Doesn't scratch or show fingerprints, Very durable, all the keys do what they're supposed to, works better than the keyboard ON my laptop.. Its wonderful. (One thing you have to cope with is the light on the reviever, It comes on as long as your typing, and is a little big, But its worth it for this keyboards response. Enjoy.

I installed this keyboard this morning. It took 60 seconds after unwrapping. Loved it. Except for that fatal flaw: there are no indicator lights for the Caps, Num, and Scroll functions. It also does not put any message on the monitor (as the Microsoft wireless does). Good luck with passwords, numerical inputs, etc. What could HP have been thinking? If you don't need the lock-keys warning, I think it's a great basic keyboard.

this keyboard looks really nice and of course its nice to not have wires going everywhere. But once you sit down and start typing it becomes very clear why wireless keyboards are not functional. Missed keystrokes, double letters/spaces, unresponsive only begins to describe the errors. This keyboard works well when it wants to and thats about 15% of the time. The other 85% of the time you will find yourself pounding repeatedly on a single key trying to get it to appear on your screen or trying to delete a letter that the keyboard thinks you have struck three times instead of one time. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND STICK WITH A WIRED KEYBOARD.

I wanted a wireless keyboard when using my laptop as a media PC and needed something small and compact to easily tuck away when not in use. Didn't need a lot of gadgety buttons and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg, so this looked like it would meet my requirements. Unfortunately I've gotten two of them and neither has worked properly out of the box. The first one synced fine but the right side of the space bar didn't register. That's the side I use the most so a crucial hardware issue for me. Returned it and got a replacement keyboard....and that one didn't work properly either! This one won't stay synced for more than a couple minutes. Have tried resyncing, rebooting, etc. The manual with the product is useless and there is no updated driver or anything else of use on the HP site. This one will be returned, time to try a different keyboard.

Though the keyboard looks and responds beautifully, it appears to be solid and well made, should last a very long time, it has one very serious flaw. There is no way to configure any of the keyboards functions! Basically, you are stuck with it just the way it is. For example, F9-F11 are only used if you have a "touchsmart" monitor, which I do not. F12 is not used at all. It would be nice to be able to configure these otherwise useless keys to be functional for me. But, per HP, that cannot be done. Very disappointing, as my previous keyboard (an older model HP wireless even!) was configurable, and I'd gotten used to that ability. If configurablity is not an issue for you, than this keyboard might be ideal for you!

I was hunting around for a plug-and-play monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse for a shared, cross-country, remote office so that I could use my netbook without going blind or getting tennis elbow during extended periods away from California. The only other options were either a secondary desktop or a full-size laptop (which is kind of a pain to lug around once you've had the "netbook experience"). The monitor was a no-brainer (Acer B203Wbdmr fit the bill nicely - I highly recommend it!), but the keyboard/mouse set-up was a tougher nut to crack. I went to the local electronics megastores and browsed through all of the wireless keyboard offerings from the usual suspects (Logitec, Microsoft, etc), but there was only one really slick, low profile keyboard/mouse combo that I saw from Logitec. Unfortunately, it was $180 - which is a lot to pay for a keyboard/mouse which you're only going to use for a couple of weeks a year. So I went home and started poking around on Amazon. I found this

Pros: Very nice tactile sensation (laptop-style) Good (though limited) functionality without unnecessary extras Sleek design (less than 1/2" thick at its thickest point) Runs on just two AAA batteries Small receiver works right in the USB port -- no on-desk dongle Very reasonably priced Cons: Occasional reception problems Flashing blue light on USB receptor can be distracting I've used this keyboard for about a month now, and am generally very pleased. I bought it largely because reviews I read compared it to a laptop keyboard or certain Apple keyboards, with a light-touch scissor-switch key mechanism. On that front, I am very happy. If you like the thin stroke of laptop keyboards, you should find this very satisfying. It's a world of difference from the wired keyboards that come with most PCs, and also from any wireless keyboard I've been able to find at a store. The keyboard is also impressively thin (it could easily be thrown in a suitcase for travel), and unlike many wireless

From what I've read wireless keyboards are terrible for gaming purposes, but this one does just fine when I play Battlefield 2! If there is lag its not noticeable and I'm sure I've made plenty of online players upset when I blow them away! I have not been irritated once at this keyboard and the best part is the battery will last 1year and you can replace them, no built in battery or lame-o dock charger! Chargers are ridiculous and power never lasts that long! I was looking for a nice slim, basic keyboard, maybe a back lit keys would have been cool, but I'm very happy with this wireless keyboard. Seriously if your a gamer give this keyboard a try... its only 50bucks! If you have a coupon its a steal and if you don't like it return it, but I promise you won't be disappointed.

This was exactly what I had been looking for in a keyboard, sleek, basic layout with a few extra amenities like volume control, & wireless. So far it has yet to disappoint. Set up consisted of plugging in the dongle & pressing connect on the back of the keyboard. It actually feels weighty too for such diminutive dimensions. Doesn't feel cheap & flimsy. The keystrokes are nice & quiet. It seems to be very responsive even at a range of about 15' as well, even with the dongle being tucked away behind my PC. For what it is, I believe it's more than fairly priced.
The only short comings that I can say it has is the size of the dongle in comparison to some newer ones & the fact it flashes with every keystroke. Which is really more of a nuisance.

I ordered this keyboard looking for something with a minimal appearance. It definitely fits the bill. The keys have a good length of travel for the minuscule depth and are quiet, perhaps being good if I choose to implement my own "typing sounds" on the computer. The spacing for the key surfaces were a little offsetting at first. Feeling like laptop keys I crunched my fingers together rather than letting them sprawl like a regular keyboard. The spacing for some keys like the Ctrl & Alt keys is something to get used to as there is a Fn key between then. People complain about the blue led on the receiver. Yes it's silly, useless and distracting. Put a piece of electrical tape on it. Problem solved. Ergonomically I think its advantageous as the reduced height means reduced upward angle on the wrists. Using a wrist pad with this keyboard would actually allow your fingers to down at an even more natural downward angle. I plan on getting another one for my work.

HP Wireless Elite Keyboard I needed a modern keyboard to replace the archaic Win95 PS/2 version that I had been using since 1996. I wanted a portable, wireless keyboard with a small footprint. Essentially, that means no wrist pad. Also, I did NOT want a bloated keyboard with a bunch of gimmicky buttons. Finally, I wanted to keep a reasonable budget --- I did not want to break the bank for a simple keyboard. Seems simple enough... but it took me *months* to find one that matched all my criteria. In the end, the HP Elite was my only option. There were no other viable alternatives. For the most part, the keyboard meets (but does not exceed) my expectations. It's everything the photos show you, and everything the specs sheet say. Nothing more, nothing less. The keyboard is incredibly slim and lightweight. It's not intrusive, and feels nice to have on your lap while typing. It also has an excellent range --- the signal remains strong even when I'm several yards away. This would've

I saw this keyboard attached to a HP TouchSmart combination on a display. I took the p/n and then pursued... I love it! Great feel, great feedback... my typing speeds have improved as well. Great for companion w/ laptops; light, compact and great signal strength. I highly recommend this for anyone that has an USB hub or will not need to plug and unplug the receiver routinely. Using this as a mobile keyboard should be avoided.
I had the keyboard for less than 2 months and then the receiver started separating from the metal piece that plugs into the USB port. Started having "shorts" and required wiggling to keep a connection. Unfortunately, I scraped the box... no bar code... cannot return now even though I purchased through Amazon.com.
I then turned to HP support. Couldn't get their website to even recognize the Elite Keyboard P/N & S/N. There is NO way to get support without the P/N & S/N for an approved HP item. Tried HP chat... no response.
Loved the keyboard though!

Picked up one of these yesterday and so far I'm loving it. It's quiet, the key feel isn't bad, the key layout is good (like the enlarged Delete key), and some of the special keys (like the volume control) work even though I haven't bothered to install HP's software (yet, anyhow).
Wireless range is sufficient for my needs. The little USB fob plugged right into my existing USB hub and was recognized by my system instantly without having to load any drivers. Neat!
I love the look of the keyboard, and it's very small without a ton of useless plastic around the edges - just a narrow border about half an inch wide. I was using an older wired USB Apple keyboard with my PC before this - one with white keys and a transparent body - which I chose because it didn't waste a ton of desk space. I'm not sure why manufacturers feel they have to surround their keyboards with an idiotic ocean of useless plastic. Until now, Apple seemed to be one of the few manufacturers who realized that it's not
