CradlePoint CTR500 Wireless Router - IEEE 802.11b/g - ISM Band - 54 Mbps Wireless Speed - 1 x Broadband Port - USB
Pros: Very easy to install, use, and carry wherever you go. Improves my connection speed and stability.
Cons: Limited range of WiFi signal from the router
OK - the range of the WiFi signal for this very compact, light, and easily transportable router is not very great. If you are provisioning a household this is not the router you need.

Works well with everything except my laptop, seems to lose connection at odd times. Not sure if it is router or laptop.phone and bluray player work well.

CradlePoint CTR500 Wireless Router - IEEE 802.11b/g - ISM Band - 54 Mbps Wireless Speed - 1 x Broadband Port - USB
It's a good router. Keep in mind that it doesn't have an internal battery so requires a place to plug it in.

CradlePoint CTR500 Wireless Router - IEEE 802.11b/g - ISM Band - 54 Mbps Wireless Speed - 1 x Broadband Port - USB
Pros: Strong broadcast area with customizable security.
Cons: Had to trouble shoot to get it working but not really a problem.
I bought this to use in the car on a 24 hour long trip both ways from IL to ME. I tested it out at home before leaving and could not get the CradlePoint to communicate with my Bold (AT&T) at first. But after following through the troubleshooting steps provided by CradlePoint I was up and running in no time. We connected two devices to it during the trip simultaneously and it worked very well on 3G and slow on Edge not suprisingly.

CradlePoint CTR500 Wireless Router - IEEE 802.11b/g - ISM Band - 54 Mbps Wireless Speed - 1 x Broadband Port - USB
Pros: USB interface, Wireless range
Cons: Firmware update needed before use
The unit as packaged does not work with the Virgin Mobile USB 3G interface. A firmware update is required. The update was easy to find on the web site and installed without any problems. Once the firmware was updated, the unit properly recognized the Virgin Mobile USB 3G interface.<br />Wireless range is good given the small size of the device At least 300' radius circle.

small, compact, and easy to set up. i use this in my RV and it's perfect for sharing my AT&T 3G USB device with my wife. it is perfect for traveling or at home. despite the other review you can make this serve up a closed network that will appear closed to others picking up this signal.

This product is fantastic! It is small, about the size of a wallet, and is brilliantly designed! It can create a wireless network from almost any device from a wireless carrier! Simply activate your card, plug it in to the device, and you have a highly-configurable wireless router. I used it with the Verizon Wireless V740 ExpressCard and was very impressed. MAKE SURE THAT YOU ACTIVATE your wireless device with your service provider before trying to use it with the router. Once activated, the Cradlepoint router connects to the service, and opens up a WAP-type network like you see at Starbucks. It looks like an open (unprotected) network on your wireless network list, but after connecting, requires you enter a password. It has a myriad of different configuration options and is incredibly user friendly. A terrific purchase for anyone looking to share a mobile wireless connection!
