Spent hours trying to figure out why my Iphone wouldn't work. Tech support took about 30 minutes before they came back and said it doens't support any newer version of Iphones like 3 or 4 etc...

Nice look, but the sound is not particularly full. Also, the CD lid doesn't open wide enough -- it is difficult to remove a CD without touching the surface. With the old CFD-F10, it was easy to load and remove a CD by holding just the edges.

I've had this for about six months now and really like it. I kind of chuckled at some of these other reviews - this is a sub $100 boom box. If you want thumpin' bass or crystal clear sound, then get a stereo. To spend $80 on something and expect it to perform like a $500 system is asking a lot.

Bought this and took it to the beach several times, spring in the cd tray broke so the door won't stay closed without tape. Ipod dock stopped working and overall just died. On the other hand it was very portable but doesn't put out a lot of sound.

I really wanted to like this product, because it has a great price tag for all of the features I wanted (CD player, FM radio,as well as IPOD docking station), but in the end sound quality was most important to me. The sound was merely okay, but when I closed my eyes while relaxing in my sitting room, I wanted to feel like I was in the music studio, listening to it live. This product didn't do that for me. Then once you gave it some volume, the sound began to degrade. If you want a box with many features, and you are not concerned about having that studio sound, but just want to have something to listen to, then this is your box. If you just have to feel like its live music, then I recommend the iHome speaker systems, if you have an IPOD of course. I went that route, but had to give up the FM radio and CD player.

Because I travel a lot, I needed a reasonably-priced radio that could also play audiobooks and accept an iPod. Before purchasing this one, I purchased three different boomboxes ... two of them broke after several weeks of use and the third had terrible sound quality.

I bought this item as a birthday present for my husband. He really liked the gift. It has many features that he is very pleased with. One suggestion he had, however, was to have an adapter to charge the batteries in the boom box. Thank you.

I wasn't in love with this boombox, but mine had broken so I went ahead and got this one. It worked just fine until about a week ago when the controls that run the Ipod broke so now I have to open the door to change the song or do anything with the Ipod, bummer. So I call Sony who tells me that they will cover parts but not labor, giant bummer. I bought the extended warranty though so we will see on monday (Squaretrade isn't open on the weekends, slight bummer) what they can do for me. If I have to wait until the year warranty on parts through Sony is up before Squaretrade will cover me I might just have to go throw this thing out in the street. Buyer beware!

It worked fine for a first couple of months with my iPhone and iPod and then it just stopped working. There was no sound when iPhone was plugged-in. The remote did not work either. Sony service says that I will have to pay $56+S/H to get it repaired when a new system is available at similar cost. The system is still under warranty. Overall, not satsfied with the product and Sony service.

The sound quality is acceptable, but not great. There are a couple of noticeable problems. The cd player will skip with only minimal vibration. If used on a counter top, merely closing a drawer, will cause it to skip. The second problem is worse. Two days after I received the product, I was using it out on my deck. (This was the primary reason for getting it.) It was a bright sunny day; temperature in the mid-90's. After about 30 minutes in the sun, the cd began to play intermitantly, and then completely failed. The top handle actually warped. The supplier replaced it after three weeks and numerous emails. For a portable boombox to fail when used it normal summer ambient conditions is unacceptable. The design needs to be more rugged. So far the replacement is functioning, but I have avoided using it in hot sunny conditions. The price was low, but the old adage that you get what you pay for seems true.

I decided my massive 1990s Sony boombox was taking up way too much space in my garage workshop, and with no AUX input I couldn't listen to my iPOD. My first thought was to get one the portable iPOD "speaker systems" like the Altec Lansing InMotion Classic. I was surprised at how little you get for $100-$150 and was also concerned that those systems would not hold up well in a garage environment, especially with the iPOD sitting out in the open. I went to the store and listened to a few of them and was underwhelmed by the sound quality. That's when I came across this Sony boombox. It offered an ingenious concealed storage dock for the iPOD, which will protect it from dust/elements. It also has FM/AM and a CD player, which makes it more versatile then the speaker systems. The on-board controls and remote are very easy to use and will control the iPOD menus, and the size is perfect for me. I will agree that the sound quality is mediocre, but for this price I really did't expect great sound. And compared to the horrible sound from the speaker systems, it's not that bad. It is loud enough to fill my garage with undistorted sound, which is all I was looking for. I have a home theater with real speakers if I want good sound... There are so many negative reviews about the sound quality, but come on, for $70 and all these features what do you expect?

Wanted a unit to charge my IPod Touch and listen to streamline radio stations from Slacker and Pandora. It works and sounds great from these sources. Looking at clock radio types but decided I wanted the flexibility of a portable unit. This unit fitted the bill nicely and came with a whole lot of other features such as AM/FM radio and CD player. The unit has no tone controls, other than MegaBass, but I really do like that option since I'm always messing with the tone and EG setting, which all sound the same anyway. This way it's set and I think it sounds great. A lot of reviewers complain about the sound volume, but I have it set on 4 and I find it has a lot of power to spare. For the features and sound I feel it's a great bargin.

Not bad but not Great.<br />Just right for an average room but not as a party system.<br />Kind of bulky but overall, good value but I expected more from a Sony.

Good sounding boombox that integrates an iphone witout causing interference with phone. remote enables you to keep iphone protected at the beach and on a boat while changing between songs or categories.

I purchased this Sony &quot;boom box&quot; primarily so that I could listen to my iPod (iPhone) in the garage while doing work on my vehicles. I am very happy with it.
