Great Value and Product

For the price this was the best available DVD player w/ Surround sound and subwoofer I found anywhere on the internet. Even if it was a single disc DVD player w/ speakers it would still be a steal. Try and find another DVD player with a 1000 watt stereo system for the same price.

Value, at a price!

This little box is just that, a good value without bells, whistles, and extras.
The transport mechanism for the DVD functions is a little bit chinzy, and frought with shipping problems because the factory didn't let the mechanism "park" itself prior to shipping. After receiving my "replacement" unit under warrantee I decided to fix it on my own, rather than shell out another $15 shipping.
If the display lights up when you select DTS, wouldn't you think that the unit would decode DTS audio? NOPE, "do not support DTS" message is displayed in the upper corner of the screen even though the LCD on the front panel glows invitingly.
For the price, however, sound quality is decent and waiting a few extra seconds while the unit decides what to do with your input isn't extremely enraging.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

This system is so bad, that just looking at it now puts me in a bad mood. The speakers are average, but the DVD player has the strangest balance. The system has scratched more DVDs than I can remember. If you feel like having a $200 dust collector that produces poor sound and destroys your stuff, then this is for you. I will never own anything by RCA again, nor will I wish this poor product on anyone.
