Some of the reviews of the AC6 Flightstick Bundle seem to be only for the game itself. I reviewed the game itself separately. This review is for the flightstick bundle, which comes in the box displayed by amazon here.
I bought a used set that came complete with everything from the original purchase, box, cords, faceplate, etc. And, everything worked fine and as intended.
However, I found these controls to be not really much fun at all. My experience with them showed they were slow, sluggish, and difficult to be precise with. I went through AC6 entirely, on two different levels. The only way I could get anywhere beyond about the first 5 missions was to revert to the standard hand-held controller. With that, I could control the plane very precisely.
The flight stick is a great concept, but I feel it's actual performance is much below what I anticipated. It really boils down to being able to control the plane quickly and precisely, which just wouldn't happen with this flightstick

GOOD:
- A good mix or simulation style and arcade fun.
- Photo Realistic aircraft with planes that actually show damage when shot at.
- Nice mission variety (although for some players, some missions can be pretty dull and other to over the top).
- Decent music and voice work.
- Good mix online gameplay with versus mode (up to 8 players in either battle royal or team mode) and even a co-op mission mode.
BAD:
- Might play too much like arcade or to simulation type game for some people.
- Story can be bland and can also be pretty confusing to some due to the fact that it focuses in on secondary characters that play no actual role game but they live in the world in which the game takes place.
IF IT FITS YOUR TASTE:
- Plays very much like the past few Ace Combat games on Sony's PS2
- Takes place in a fictional world similar to our own (but not like ours in many ways) but with the same aircraft as our own world. So the while you might recognize planes like the F-14 "Tomcat" (the same jet

I've been playing games for a while now, and my only experience with ace combat was the original ace combat for the Playstation. That game is better than this one. While the planes, environments, and scenery are all lushly detailed and such, and the simulation of flying is quite fun, the rest of the game is just bad. Cutscenes involve characters that have nothing to do with your character, and the dialogue could not be less interesting if they had just left it in Japanese. Your wingman is an idiot, who refuses to provide any cover. Your allies are idiots that will most certainly die without your guidance. Certain enemies are nuclear physicists who can fly rings around you and destroy you in a heartbeat. Missiles lock on to you and your ever helpful wingman yells that they've got a lock on you in your ear, if the red screen and annoying buzzing noise wasn't enough. But the main problem in this game is that it simply fails to capture your interest. The story isn't engaging and neither is
