We have had 2025n networked for about 10 users for almost a year. Positives are ease of set up and quality of printing. It took just minutes to set up in a largely mac (a couple windows) environment. The print quality is excellent. The strongest negative is ink usage. We've not monitored the page volume, but we've been replacing toner cartridges about every two months.

I bought several Epson ink jet printers over the last few years. 80% of the time I was just printing black text, hardly any pictures. Clogged nozzles and high costs for the ink made me move to a LaserJet printer. All was well and then the wife said I could upgrade and go to a color printer. I bought the printer, connected to my 24" iMac directly by USB. I did not install the driver included on the CD but I was still able to add it as a printer. My test print worked fine. I them moved the printer to my Time Capsule and set it up there. Again, my test print worked fine. Now my ball and chain can also print to the printer from her MacBook. I will never go back to an ink jet printer. The print quality is good. My one issue with this printer is that I have not been able to set up some kind of draft setting so that I could save ink. If I do, I will update the review.

As with all HP products, the manual is easy to understand (written for non-techies, thank you), the product is high quality, and the printers seem to run forever without any trouble. Never have had one break down, or have any problems. This is my second HP laser printer (the first one was black & white only). Highly recommend any HP product.

Like any other printers that I work with I find that this printer is a nightmare. I have no quarms about setting up this printer as a locally installed usb printer, but failed miserably as a network printer. Our Windows 2003 DHCP server sees 18 hexadecimal mac address instead of 12. I have a nightmare when I try to install the driver to the server, server would freeze, and I had to reboot the server to finish the installation. HP Webjetadmin only sees the NPXXXXXX name and not the name that our dhcp server would provide. Lastly, when I updated the firmware trying to fix the problem, the mac address of the printer actually changed. I would recommend that you purchase for standalone printer only, and not for networking.

The print quality is excellent however after a printing less than 1000 pages I had to replace the black and blue toner cartridges and the annoying notices tell me I have only 150 pages left on the yellow cartridge.
The color density of what I am printing is not high and so I expected far better yield from the toner than I received.
At over $120/cartridge its very poor value for money. It's almost cheaper to buy a new printer than replace the cartridges - 3 x 125 = 375, printer cost 399!
For the record, I love HP and have always used their products exclusively. This one really disappoints.
