I've told so many people about my Ipod Touch I should be getting a commission. I use it for everything. I haven't even begun to tap the abilities of this device. My kids are jealous and my friends amazed. It's infinitely useful, free to use, and fun too! No monthly service fee, unlike a cell phone, and with skype it basically is a phone. I use mine as an alarm clock, a stop watch, a calculator, to pay bills, check account balances, order pizza, check the weather, text my kids, as a calendar, as a shopping list, as a music player, to watch videos and share pictures. I go on facebook, check my e- mail instantly, search google, as a dictionary, there is nothing it won't do! The price was fabulous too! Cheaper than a palm pilot, which I thought I wanted until my kids showed me this. Get one for yourself and one for your kids! Perfect for christmas for the teen who has everything. Get a cover right off and a cleaning cloth. You're gonna love it!

Many useful features. Nice small package. I love the way it works seamlessly with I tunes. ITunes is much easier to use than the Creative software I was using. It took two programs to do all the stuff that ITunes does with the ITouch. Charges quickly enough. It fits into every shirt pocket that I have. It connects to available Wi Fi quickly and without any effort on my part. It sometimes downloads info faster than my PC. Music sound is very good quality. I don't use the Apple earphones because they don't fit my ears properly so I use Sony earphones.As for accessories, I bought a Belkin leather case and a Griffin Power Block for wall charging.I think you will enjoy the I Touch.

Since i had started college, i thought it would be nice if i could have an iPod Touch. The possibilities were endless. I can see my schedules, do math problems, and listen to music/videos on breaks. It's easy to scroll through my content with just a quick swipe of the finger. I love it!The only thing i didn't love was the price. It's still so expensive..That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

I can hear my music on the speakers as well as the earbuds, surf the web in a wifi spot, check my email & the weather, get driving directions, do whatever I need! Like-new condition on arrival. Upgrades are available to me as if I were the original owner.

THis is great for playing all of you media on along with games and internet. Perfect for watching movies or listening to music while on a long drive or just sitting around. It has plenty of room for a number of movies and hours of music. The internet is also very easy to use a long as you have wi-fi access

I bought the Ipod Touch and received it just a few days later. It looks brand new and I have used it for over three weeks now and it works great! This is the second refurbished ipod I have purchased through Overstock.com and I haven't had any problems with either of them. I would highly suggest buying this product!

I'VE ONLY OWNED MINE FOR 5 DAYS BUT IT'S GREAT I USE IT AS MY MUSIC PLAYER IN MY VEHICLE. I HAVE ALL MY MUSIC ON IT NO NEED FOR CD'S IN THE CAR ANYMORE. IT'S HOOKED TO MY CAR'S AUDIO SYSTEM AND THE AUDIO IS UNBELIVEABLE. DON'T KNOW WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG TO BUY ONE. IT'S A LITTLE PRICY BUT ITS WORTH IT i ONLY WISH I WOULD HAVE BROUGHT THE 32 GB INSTEAD OF THE 16GB.

My only problem with this device is the keyboard. You need fingers the size of a first grader to type on the screen without multiple mistakes.

I owned the original 8gb touch and I got this for $70 when I bought my MBP! I could of gotten the 8gb model was free but for $70 and double the capicity I just couldnt resist!! These things are great. The games the app and movies and itunes is the best!!

Movies, pictures, music, internet, games, etc........ This is the best entertainment device I have ever used. I'm very impressed with it's durability and ease of use. The only thing I feel that can be improved is it's use when wifi is being used but the good outweighs the negative by a long shot.

I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. It's fun to use and the apple store has lots of interesting apps to look into and use. Definitely a joy to have on the go also, the video quality is far much better compared to the Ipod Classic so no longer do I have to sit and stare at a tiny screen when watching videos. The wifi feature makes things that much more interesting when using Skype or Yahoo instant messaging.

This is the same entertainment you get with an iPhone but with out the phone including the texting because you can actually download an app from the app store where you can text people using wifi so if you're looking for a good way to keep yourself busy but don't wanna buy a cell phone I think this is the iten for you

I was a little worried about buying an Ipod through overstock. I was definately pleasantly surprised. The order came quickly, was in perfect condition and actually had more features than I thought.

My wife used to own a 16gig Ipod Touch until 3 weeks ago when she decided to convert it into an Aquapod. After dropping her Ipod in the lake we assumed it was junk. I dove down a week later and retrieved it so she could use the old case when she bought a new one eventually. We were totally amazed when we found that IT STILL WORKS FINE AFTER A WEEK UNDERWATER!!! It's been 2 weeks since it spent a week underwater and it's going strong. Screen looks and responds totally normal, battery holds a charge, wifi/email/internet works fine. The thing is very heavy now, it must be filled with water. I told her to store it in a glass of water when shes not using it, as soon as it dries out inside, it will start to corrode much faster. I know we are already on borrowed time and it may not last much longer but I just wanted to share an amazing story with all of you. GO AQUAPOD!

My first generation IPOD Touch just stopped working and I had it for only a few months. I bought the Best Buy extended warranty at the time of that purchase. When I brought it back to Best Buy they did the exchange but charged me about $80.00 more They don't sell the first generation ones anymore but its worth the price. The extended warranty is worth it. This IPOD touch is also easier to use.

The Ipod arrived promptly (although the arrival was impossible to predict from the shipment tracking information). The unit worked fine. If there were cosmetic flaws, they were not obvious. The unit arrived without any instructions (can be found on the web). Within a couple of weeks, the USB charging cable had stopped charging the unit, although a separate charger I bought worked fine with it..

The Apple IPod Touch is a very interesting device. The new software offers virtually everything available on the IPhone.
The new 3.0 software even allows phone use with available VOIP software. The built in speaker and jack for the microphone make this a good alternative to the cell phone and with most VOIP services, a lot cheaper.
PC Connection service makes it easy to order.

Pros: Lots of great apps for fun and productivity . A good interface with Itunes for purchases and upgrades .An excellent screen for reading. When WIFI is available it,s like a miniature computer in your pocket. Cons: The battery can discharge quite rapidly with some apps. The built in speaker is really lame, use headphones or a portable speaker system. NO ability to delete music or photos within the IPOD , and the ITUNE browser has an awkward interface for adding music or pictures. Overall,It's a remarkable creation, a music ,video and movie player in one tiny unit, as well as a online browser. But, as I stated above, the battery needs improving and the ITune and internal delete functions need a lot of work. this is still one Awesome Fun machine. I'm sure we will see improvements in the near future.

The iPod Touch is just about the coolest toy I've ever gotten to lay my hands on, ever. To give some background, you know you have a great device when, after breaking it, you buy another one! I don't know if I dropped and destroyed my Nintendo DS or Sony PSP I'd get a replacement. I sure would miss the device, but it would be hard for me to justify spending hundreds of dollars to re-buy something I just had. The iPod Touch, however, was SO cool and convenient, I did just that. After accidentally damaging my first one, I got the second generation one, and was even happier! (And yes, I'm much more careful with this one ;-)) I got my first iPod Touch immediately when Apple released them. I heard great things about it, and gave it a shot. It was the best investment I made, since it not only played music, but it played games and best of all, allowed me to surf the web wirelessly on the go...a huge plus, especially on a college campus where Wi-Fi is readily available (outside of college, it's

I couldn't be happier with the Ipod Touch. Everything it claims to do, it does well. I especially like the wi-fi option and browsing the web is a joy. Great for music, videos and a host of other things including some excellent games/graphics. I have no complaints and was pleasantly suprised when I opened the box and began to explore the Touch's capabilities. The build and design is top-notch as well. This handheld is a winner and you won't be disappointed given the price point.

I got an itouch because apple had a promotion that you could get one with a new laptop purchase. i wasn't in the market for one as i already have several ipods plus a blackberry. i upgraded from the free 8gb to the 32 gb model (paying the difference in cost) and am very glad i did. when you add music, pictures, apps, it can all add up. and since you can't increase the memory without buying a new unit I am increasingly happy with my decision to get the larger model. I upgraded, for 9.95 to version 3.0 software. with that you can shake you itouch and it will shuffle music, it also has more parental controls, and the ability to use the keyboard sideways. i believe it is also faster. also with 3.0, if you have mobile me, you can send a message to your phone if it is lost so that whoever sees it will get the message. also, you can have the ipod make a noise so that if you have lost it in your house or car, you can find it easier. also, with mobile me, you can delete all personal information

My iPod Touch worked straight out of the box without any connection issues at all. Except for VERY minor app crashes, I haven't had a single problem with it though I use it more than 14 hours a day everyday since the day it arrived. It's sturdier than I thought it would be with more features available than I could have anticipated and I could not be happier with this purchase. And though it's refurbished, I honestly cannot tell from it's exterior (or any other way) that it's been used before. I LOVE my iPod Touch! Thanks, Overstock.com!

This is the best all around gadget ever! If you like music, games, internet, and email, you will love this iPod. At first I was skeptical about the touch screen. It turns out that the touch screen is very accurate and I don't have many complaints about using it. I never leave home without it!

Overall this product is great. i own the older model click wheel ipod, havent used it in years. i decided to get the touch because of the enhanced features such as internet browsing and the ability to play games. The video quality is amazing, ease of use is good. Downside to me is the battery life and with almost all handheld electronics today, the unit scratches very easily.
Like most people, i just wished you could get internet connectivity through a smartphone if you are not in a location where wifi is available.
I am extremely happy with this product and so far and would definitely reccomend it.

This product has been gret for me. Holds a lot of songs and it shows your music by album cover, genrem artist etc. Very colorful and creative. The user interface is extremly easy and user friendly.

this Ipod Touch is the best Ipod yet.. it is sufficient in finding music and has a great play list to find songs that are just like you favorite. if you love music you're going to love this Ipod. the games are very cool and the sliding lock on the screen is fast but isn't likely to accidentally unlock. i love this music player and would never give it up!

My 10 yr old son really wanted this and saved his pennies, I did not notice it at first it was refurbished, thought it would be okay. BIG mistake, it was very poorly refurbed and my little boy is out nearly $200

This an excellent product. This product is so easy to use and the quality is great. The feel (way it feels in your hand) is excellent, great form. I wanted the functionality of the iphone but not the contract associated with it. The 8gig iPod Touch is an amazing device. It plays my music and my video. That can mean TV shows or movies. The iTunes store takes this amazing device to the next level. In addition to the previously mentioned music and video, you can download a TON of applications. Want to lose weight ? There's an app for that. Want to read e-books on the go ? There's an app for THAT ! Want to pretend you're Luke Skywalker wielding your lightsaber against the dark side of The Force ? Yeah, there's a silly little app for that, too. You can also subscribe to podcasts - audio and video - to entertain and inform you on a host of subjects. There's also wifi connectivity, a calculator, calendar, and alarm clock. Plus, with the latest version of the OS, we now have copy and paste. This thing honestly gets better with each passing day. The Apple Itouch is one of the best mp3 players on the market. Not only does it play music, it also plays video, and games. There's internet capability and the mobile browser is very easy to use. The many applications that you can download from itunes will keep you very busy throughout your day. The itouch is durable in the sense that the screen is scratch proof which prevents many scratches from being visible. Its a shame that they coudlnt do the same for the back because it scratches very easily. The downside to this device is that any little water that makes its way into it will cause it to malfunction. Once that happens the warranty is voided and it will not be replaced. You have to be very careful about the whereabouts of this device because your warranty may not be able to help you.

I love my iTouch! I bought it as a high school graduation present for myself a few months ago, and it has met or exceeded every expectation. Out of my library of 315 songs (and growing) and at least a dozen applications, I have not even made a significant dent in the 8 GB of storage space. The battery life, despite its constant use, has remained the same for the three months I've had it: I only charge it every other day, sometimes two. It is very easy to learn how to use; after spending only an afternoon playing with it, I figured out all the neat features. This has been a great buy as both a tool and a toy, and has been a wonderful upgrade from the 2 GB first-generation nano I'd been using!

Apple iPod touch 16 GB (2nd Generation) LATEST MODEL I'd coveted an iPod touch for a while, and a $100 Amazon gift token tipped the balance. I opted for the 16 GB on the basis that I wouldn't be able to watch / listen to all that content before I flattened the battery. Add a Web browser (safari :(), a few hundred MB of apps (newspapers, rss feeds, radio...**cough** games) and I effectively have everything I need from a netbook computer! Get yourself a Skype client and you van make VoIP calls without being tied to an IPhone and what laughably passes for a phone service from AT&T. I'd give it 4.5 out of 5... It loses 0.5 star for not running background apps, the Bluetooth profile doesn't support handsfree headsets and there is as yet no flash client... And if someone (the BBC?), will enable iPlayer for Radio to be accessed from the Colonies I'd love them!!!

This 16 gig version has plenty of space as long as your not trying to cram tons of movies / thousands upon thousands of songs. So if that's what you're looking for, you might want to get an iPod Classic with a much larger capacity. It's a bit pricey as well, but it's worth it.
With a few connectors (FM Transmitter, 3.5mm to RCA adapter) you can plug it in and play your music pretty much anywhere. The organization of the music in the menus makes it easy to find what you want to play.
Touch screen makes it a ton of fun to use. selecting and dragging things with no visible buttons is great.
And what really makes it in my opinion is the apps. Everything from, a virtual Zippo lighter, to Kindle Books, to video games, makes this an incredible portable media outlet.
Only issue is without a screen protector it smudges / scratches pretty easily, but that's easily taken care of.

A great price from Overstock-versus over $300 for a new one. It arrived 3 days after I ordered and was in immaculate condition. I would have thought it was brand new if I had not known it was refurbished, there was not a single scratch on it. I have used it for 2 weeks and it has performed beautifully, w/o a single problem. I have downloaded music, audiobooks, movies, ebooks, personal pictures and many apps and have hardly made a dent in the capacity. I can't imagine paying full price for a new one when you can get one like-new from Overstock. I also got the the Protection Plan and it was a better deal than anywhere else I could find online, and I REALLY researched it. I would not hesitate to buy anything else from Overstock.The old saying of "If it's too good to be true, it probably is" does not apply here. This is almost too good to be true!

This is by far the nicest MP3 player on the market. The iPod Touch puts the ability to run Apps, which are amazing, together with an iPod. If you have a large library of music then get an iPod classic, which is a bit cheaper for 120 gigs. This one is great if you want to surf the net (without a laptop) at wireless hotspots, run Apps for whatever you like to do, play games, play a smaller collection of music (couple thousand songs) and watch a few movies. I have about 10 movies and a few hundred songs on mine together with a LOT of Apps. Worth the money if thats what you want to do with it. You need to get a screen protector and a case to protect the iPod though, since it DOES scratch up easily, so factor those costs in. Also, you can only use iTunes to load songs on it.

I bought the Touch because I didn't want to spend an extra $30/month on the IPones wireless connection. Yes, it would be great to be connected all the time, but it hasn't been a big deal. My only complaint would be that the battery life could be longer.

There are great games available, I love the Kindle reader for getting books from Amazon, and I have downloaded a lot of useful utilities such as converters and the Directv scheduler. The unbelieveable thing is, a lot of the apps are free.
I love the built-in Wi-Fi that allows me to browse the Internet with the Safari browser that comes with the iPod. The device can also be configured to receive your e-mail, which is very handy if you travel.
If I had to list a downside, and this is a very minor issue, the speaker sound is not that great but is good for the game apps. I have read several reviews knocking the battery life. I think that the battery life is

I was kind of skeptical at first about paying $300.00 for an Ipod having come from a $80.00 Sansa Fuze 4GB.. but as soon as I started to learn more about the Ipod Touch, I realized that I had to get one. It is truely worth every penny.. I just can't believe all of the options that this has on it!

Best part is you don't have to buy the 3.0update. it comes with the ipod. So sorry for you 1st gens, you have to pay for apps.
Another great thing, is its fairly water proof. Ive dropped my in about every type of water puddling area, and it works. Well except for the last puddle, messed up my out side speaker, but i had it coming after the first 20 or so times.
So yes that means im going to buy another one, gah.

It is most definitely the best ipod out there. Some may think the 16GB is too small but it holds all my music perfectly. I also have many pictures and applications also.. The wifi hook up is great.. I can access the internet through Safari at home and work easily.
Some do not know, but you can listen to music directly from the device, no headphones included. Very cool feature.

Since release I've wanted an Iphone. The problem was I was locked in with Verizon so i never was able to get one. My wife gets me this as a gift and I could never ever be more happy. It does everything the Iphone does (except make calls and be connected anywhere) and as long as your near a wifi connection you can do anything that you would use an Iphone for. With the Skype app you can even make phone calls (with bluetooth headset). The capacity is huge, you can easly watch movies from itunes, or from your own collection (converted to the correct format of course) play music, surf the web. The battery life is pretty good, I go two days between charges and you can charge on anything with a USB connection out of the box, never mind the hundreds of charging accessories out there. go on and on. Bottom line, great product.

My husband bought this for my birthday almost 2 years ago. At first, I didn't think I would really use it much, but was I wrong!! I have songs, videos, movies, podcasts, etc., on it and I take it everywhere with me. I travel alot on my job, and it is great on airplanes or when I am in hotel rooms. I use it in my car, too. It is so amazing something so small can hold so much stuff. It is very simple to use and would recommend it to everyone of all ages.

Product is way more then I ever imagined with fast operating system. This is the firs touch device from apple that I have used and I will be looking at apple first in the future. I would get the iphone in a second if only AT&T network was a bit better. I highly recommend this product to anyone in school. It has great apps for studying not to mention the ability to listen to my music at the same time. It is extremely portable which I can have all my study materials easily accessible and discrete. I also use mine as a flash drive for all my school and work files with great ease. I highly recommend, the sky is the limit!

I Have had mine for not too long, And I am addicted to it! The Audio and Video playback was what sold me, but I was not prepared to the total multimedia capabilities available. Nor did I expect to unlock the Bluetooth with a software update. I play games, check weather, Plan events, and control powerpoint shows with my iPod Touch. With Skype and the iPod Mic headphones I make internet phone calls. You will never get tired of the abilities that the device has...BTW get a hard case for your iPod. I put mine on once I got mine and there has never been a scratch!!!

ok i could not live without my ipod touch! this thing is amazing! i use it DAILY! i dont even brush my teeth daily! just kidding but seriously this thing is THE BOMB! i could not live without it. the only thing is that it has a short battery life and that kinda upsets me when im in the middle of doing something and it shuts down. but oh well. i couldnt ask for anything better!

I upgraded to one of these from an 8GB nano yesterday and immediately fell in love with it as soon as I took it out of the box. I was amazed at how many applications there are available, and was impressed even more when I realized how easy they were to download. The iTouch makes full use of its Wifi capabilities, making it one of the most useful/fun devices I've bought in a while. Using any features other than listening to music will quickly drain the battery though, which may prove to be a bit of a nuisance depending on what you intend to use it for. As this is also a delicate device that could be scratched easily or be damaged if dropped, buying a quality case is recommended. Don't think twice before buying this though, I promise you won't regret it!

I've had this for a few weeks, since I found that ATT would still require the $27US/mo new iPhone data plan... my price point is about $15/mo. Coming from many years of Palm Treo/Centro, the Touch is really fun. I'm keeping it! Hopefully conversion will be easy if I upgrade to iPhone someday... Pros: - It didn't take long to get used to the keyboard - It converted my Rhapsody tunes straight to iTunes (needed to redo playlists, but that's OK) - I downloaded about 35 free apps, plus some mp3 free audiobooks, podcasts, books, and travel guides. - WiFi is FAST - Synchs to Outlook well (altho MS Outlook costs $, but that's a WinCrap issue) - Good mp3 sound - Upgrade ($10) synchs Notes (my Palm Tasks, but needed to redo groups) - iTunes is more user-friendly than Rhapsody Cons: - I had to download a Contact app for groups: shame on Apple for not including this! i love this product i have one of my own that i have bought from best buy and it was at a great price the Ipod touch is definitely worth what its for the best thing about the ipod touch is theres not just music but theres videos pictures and also applications that make the videos pictures and music alot much better than they are the not so great part about it is it gets dirty to quik its very easy to scratch and it freazes when theres something really relevant to do on the ipod touch with this wonderfull piece of technology you will never be bored its as easy as a touch of a finger

this is my first ipod ever and i am very impressed and have no regrets... it is very easy to use, the internet is at your fingure tips and movies look so flawless. the down side is the battery life... if you're doing anything but listening to music, then the battery power is used up quickly. also it does scratch fairly easy, but thats why there's so many protective accessories for it.

the ipod is great i use mine all the time i luv itunes cuz of the free apps you can download apple wasnt lying when they said it was the funnest ipod ever. if your thinking about getting one i would suggest you also buy a wall or car charger so you dont have to run to ur computer all the time

I'll Start with the color because they shouldnt limit it to one. The ipod touch has to much ore potential that Apple wont even try to introduce it to. I love the fact its sleek which makes me take good care of it. Wen the music plays from the external speaker is actually pretty loud and i can put the ipod just about anywhere.

The best Mothers Day Present ever. Not a household tool for once. Not something that I have to work with. I kept bugging my family that I wanted the Ipod Touch especially for the games that I had seen on the commercials. Now that I have it I love it and use it constanly and really enjoy the ease of use and the strikingly excellent quality of the graphics. I can see the pictures clearly and love being able to add my own content to the Ipod Touch. I also absolutlely love how easy it is to get onto my internet sites, it is much easier than with my cell phone, I always had trouble signing on but with the Ipod Touch, I can sign on with my fingers, Its so easy even my 3 year old granddaughter uses it.

This product I purchased for my daughter, and so far she loves it. She is an electronics geek so if she loves this product you know this is one of the best. My daughter say that when she presses on the screen and then press on something else real fast she say at that the screen will freeze. But that is understandable. But overall this product is good. I even steal it from her sometime sssshhhhh don't tell anyone that. lol.

I bought my iPod touch about a year ago, and I have loved it since the day I bought it! It is so user-friendly, and has so many great features like iTunes, Apps, movies, internet, and a long battery life. What I like about it is that i never get bored with my ipod, and so many great features or Apps that I can use in everyday life. Some things I dont like about it is that the screen is sometimes unresponsive to the touch of your finger, and the internet pages take a while to load, but its worth the wait. I can garuntee you that if you buy an Ipod touch, you will be satisfied with it all the time!! It definatley is worth the money i set forth to purchase my iPod Touch.

After messing with one my brother had purchased, I decided to get one as well. This Ipod Touch exceeded my original expectations. The features as well as the ability to download apps online makes this an all around music player. The videos that were put on it showed very clear and looked better than I thought they would. The only draw back in my opinion is that the batterly life is shorter than what its rated at.

Its really good for the first months then i had it start breaking on me. Its got real hot and the screen started flashing, i took it back and got a new one from the apple store but it was only a couple months old. The music clarity is outstanding!! The movies on the iPod are great i love watching movies but it drains my battery so i always have it on the lowest brightness and that makes it last for hours! i love the email, it allows me to text people without having to pay $50 a month. :) Good ipod but a must is TO GET A HARD CASE NO JELLYS!!!!

i finally gave up my old ipod mini (the one they don't make anymore) for an itouch. i'm so glad i did!!! it works great, and is easy to hold. and i don't feel like i'm going to break it when i hold it in my hand (like the nano). picture/video quality is GREAT

My ipod touch is a backup to my blackberry. I use it to download podcasts and play music. It also surfs the web with wifi, which is available to me at home or work. Battery life could be a little better, but the browser is the best there is in a handheld, frankly better than my blackberry bold's.

as you'd expect, the iPod touch is great. I have a 1st generation 8G and got this for my daughter. It works great. However, it does not seem to be compatible with any of the chargers we have that work with our other iPods (including the first generation). This is really lame since you end up with chargers all over the place. Other than the compatibility with chargers, this is a really great piece of electronics.

I love the wireless capability, and all of the functionality is as I thought it would be. The only thing I wish it had was a longer lasting battery. Playing just music it lasts a long time, but when using apps it can go down quicker than I would like. However, overall it is even better than I expected. And all of the apps are a bonus.

i love this ipod. i take it everywhere i go, and since i dont want to commit to an iphone, its music + apps and it's worth every cent.
i have yet to find a replacement for my ipod.

Fun toy - holds a lot of music, great picture, killer applications. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the screen acts up every now and then. It's frozen once, and sometimes it takes some effort for the screen to transition from vertical to horizontal. No big deal, but slightly annoying for the amount of money spent.

I absoloutly LOVE my new touch. Everything is wonderful about it. There is a major downside. I am considering going out and buying all brand new accessories to replace the old ones. I have top of the line accessories that apple made NOT CHARGE MY IPOD!!!! It blows. I got a new Klipsh ipod dock in December that i can not return anymore.

I finally got current with my tech and broke down and got the iPod touch.
I had previously used cheap Mp3 players, but this is light years ahead. The apps, the wi-fi, the podcasts I can get for free!
Bottom line, this is my new favorite gadget. I just wish the batteries would last longer. I've only had it for a month, but already a day's use (not non-stop use) drains the battery to about 20%. It recharges fast enough, but I thought its battery life would be akin to muy blackberry's which can still run a couple of days or normal use before a charge.

Well, i saved a certain amount of my pay check each month to save up for this one, my 4GB ipod nano didn't have enough capacity and it had broken. Let me tell you, this Ipod is great, i would just recommend that you get a screen protector and maybe a protective covering if you want a minimum amount of scratches and fingerprints. The apps. are very good and very uncostly, but I love the internet connection because I can get on it in any broadband area, that is a +. It can get a little hard to see when it is a sunny and a bright day. I love the built in speakers. I don't really like the video/battery life though. It is OK, depending on how many movies or videos that you plan on watching a trip or day. I like the slim, sleek design, and love the touch screen interface and the fact that it has no buttons make it a plus because it can't really get worn out. JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU DON'T PUT AN ABUNDANCE OF APPS. ON IT SO THAT IT WON'T TAKE UP ALL OF YOUR MEMORY!! OVERALL, THIS IS A VERY GOOD

Just trying to convince the wife that i need one to. My son had a zune that he liked but after it was stolen we decided to get him a ipod. Not a mistake and worth ever penny you spend on it. From the few times I have used it I can say without a doubt one of the better systems out there.

This product is very great for its price because of all the things that you can use it for. You can listen to music, watch movies, play games, use utilities, communicate with friends, it's amazing. There is a great variety of free apps in the app store and a lot of apps for only .99! You can have up to 9 pages of apps with 16 apps per page and a menu on the bottom for 4 apps giving you storage for up to 148 apps! You can browse through your songs by just flipping through the album artwork, it's fun and easy. This new ipod gives you 36 hours of battery life and 6 if you are watching videos. I love everything about the Touch. Many of the "not so great" reasons are easily avoidable. It's worth the extra money to get a protective case, and screen protector. I luckily already had a plug adaptor so mine is plugged in when I'm not using it.
It is a pricey product, but it is easily justified by the features, and what you can do with it.

First let me say that having this makes me wish I had an iPhone (because I need Verizon, I cannot have one). This is such an amazing product. It is not only for entertainment, but also helps with many other things. My favorite thing about the Touch are the free applications. While I am not thrilled with the way you have to sync, etc., once I got the hang of it, it wasn't that bad. There are some really great utilities out there and they make having this VERY useful for me. I can use it to store pictures of things that I collect, and when I go to an auction to preview lots, etc., I can just call them up and compare them. Audiobooks are great. There is a Kindle application. This is probably the most useful piece of technology that I own, in respect of personal productivity. There are enough applications out there that you can customize this into a personal electronic assistant. I am simply amazed. And now that most hotels have a player, you can have your own music, etc.. Also, with many vehicles

I already had two other iPods, but the Touch intrigued me because of its wireless internet capabilities. It performs much better than expected, and is very easy and intuitive to use. I'm not a youngster, but even so did not find it difficult to navigate through the programs or figure out how to use the Safari web interface.
The touch screen "keyboard" is so much better than the eensy keyboard on, say, a Blackberry, and the device seems to be incredibly sturdy. I put a screen protector and a clear plastic case on it and just toss it in my purse.
Oh yeah, and it plays music extremely well also! Color me a huge fan.

I just bought this today and all I can say is WOW!!!! If your hesitating buying this as I was, don't be. The price is a little expensive but after reading every single review I just had to go get it and glad I did. I have played around with it for a bit tonight still checking everything out but so far everything is great! Go get one i am sure you won't regret it!!!

I spent a lot of time looking into iPods and other MP3 players before replacing my old iPod. I have been really pleased with the iTouch 2nd gen. It does everything I wanted, and is so easy to use. Even my kids have had an easy time figuring out how to use this iPod. I love the features, but haven't been able to figure out how to remove the pre-installed apps I don't want/use - for now I just ignore them. I do enjoy browsing the apps to install, and look forward to taking this iPod to Europe this summer as a major form of entertainment. The batter doesn't seem to last long, but then again, this iTouch gets a LOT of use.

I didnt want to be stuck in a 2 year contract with AT&T and I like my Helio, so I got the iPod Touch instead. This thing is a plethora of free gaming. The best games on here are either free or .99c.
I hate mac computers, but apple hit the jackpot with the iTouch. Its a great platform. Easy to read emails, play games, plenty of useful free programs. Its great. Worth every penny!

I use to have an Ipod nano and I thought that was brilliant. Then when I saw the touch I just knew I had to so have it. I don't regret buying it, all of its features are amazing. Internet access is the best part because when I am at school I get WiFi and its nice to do something when I have spare time in a class. The only thing that I can complain about is its battery power. When I am going through my music and playing other apps it seems to use a lot of battery power. Other than that its the best Ipod I have bought so far.

I was introduced to the iTouch from a friend, came home and ordered one. I love it. i've downloaded with ease various games and applications. instead of taking a laptop to bed to play games on, i take the itouch. My only complaint is that the battery does not seem to last as long as they claim. and, unfortunately, where I live.. no wifi!..

I was so excited to replace my 4th generation iPod with the 2nd gen iPod touch. Of course this was a major upgrade. It's great to have the speaker, which isn't that loud at the highest volume, if I just want to listen without earbuds. The volume control on the side is also a great feature. It's fun to have the applications. I love how I can download apps or songs directly onto the iPod via wifi. Then when I connect it to iTunes, the apps and songs are backed up.
My only issue is not being able to use my old iPod car charger. It can only be charged with the usb cable. Luckily it has a battery life for up to 36 hours audio or 6 hours video.
Overall, I think it's a fun gadget to have. I'm looking forward to watching movies on it during road trips or at work when no one is around.

I had an Ipod classic and I still use it but i like the screen on the ipod touch and the apps too. Its great for when your sitting in class bore, you can whip it out and play around on it. I also enjoy the WI-FI capability, it makes life a heck of a lot easier, i used to have to carry around my macbook just to use the internet, but now i can carry that thing around in my pocket and don't have to worry bout it getting stolen. The touch screen is awesome too, it is super sensitive and has a great keyboard also. This was an over all great purchase and i wish i would have bought one a long time ago.

It is amazing that no other company has been able to meet or beat the Ipod technology. This is my second Ipod. Downloading my 8G library took no time at all. TV shows and movies look outstanding. Only wish is that Apple would just include a screen protector - a real must for this toy.

ive had my ipod for about 2 weeks now and so far im very happy with it. it has a beautiful lcd screen and its internal speakers sound awsome but, they could fix the battery life. i just figured out that if you hold down the home buttton and the lock button at the same time and let them oth go it takes a screen shot which is really cool. all you need to fix scratches is a silicone or hard shell case and you can also get a 2 year warenty for 40$ but its worth it.

There is only two buttons so if you get into something your aren't sure about, just hit the only one in front and it takes you back out to the main screen. I have owned this iPod since January '09 and it is the most amazing one that I have ever used. It is far ahead of the Zune and other iPods. The App Store was one of the biggest reasons for me buying it, because it adds so much functionality in addition to just listening to music and watching movies. It has the longest battery life of any iPod that I have owned so far. Conclusion: BUY THIS NOW!!

The sound quality is just okay (you can get better sound w/other mp3 players), but the WiFi & associated apps (e.g., Pandora), and the exquisite user interface make this a gem, well worth the price.

I don't travel much and have high speed internet connection at office and home.
iPod touch seems to be great option to iPhone for me. There is no monthly cost of data plan but I still get to use almost all features of iPhone and email sync.
