Logitech LS1 Desktop Laser Mouse
I bought this as a substitute to my generic dell mouse and it does quite well. It's not for everyone in the sense that not everyone handles their mice the same. As some people prefer ambidextrous mice and some prefer specialized ones. However, the main issue with the mouse would be the ergonomics. If you like to grasp the whole mouse in your palm, then you are better off not purchasing this product. Another small issue is that the mouse wheel seems a bit flimsy. I tend to opt for the finger tip grip which is more suitable for my play style. Quick and easy head shots. So if you to grip your mouse with your finger tips then the LS1 is for you. This is due to the limited area of my mousepad.

Not sure why other people were not happy with the size of this mouse, I have pretty regular to large hands and find the mouse to be very comfortable. As expected it works out of the box with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.4. I was coming from a standard optical mouse (red light type) and you can tell right away that this mouse tracks more accurately. This mouse is a very comfortable size and actually has a very nice yellow/green stripe around the middle of it that is like rubber, so it makes it very easy to hold/grip the mouse when you are using it. I am using it without a mouse pad on a black desk and it tracks perfectly.

some other persons have commented upn the size of the mouse, commenting that it is small. yes, it is smaller than a normal mouse, but i found it a perfect fit. it snugs right up into the meat of your palm. why it feels so good is that when this happens, your wrist is straight. very comfortable. my fingers hang over the front, but not enough to be of concern. [if you need fingertip control, it is not hard to slide your hand back a bit. it then feels like a normal mouse]. i like it much more gooder than my old mouse (which was also a logitech).

Not sure I can add much here on the tech specs for this review that hasn't been added already. Comfort wise, I think it's a great mouse that is not too small or too large (like the Microsoft mice). For those looking for a no frills mouse without any bells and whistles, highly recommend.

Cheap, durable, shiny. It's fallen so many times onto many different surfaces and it still works and shows no signs of wear. It offers laser mouse performance at $20. It's simple, right and left mouse buttons and a four-way scroll-wheel. It's also comfortable too, and plug and play. Exactly what I wanted.
