Good coverage for a difficult environment. We're in a big 1870's house with 1-ft solid brick interior walls and exterior walls and we're still getting solid signal throughout the house. I'm technically saavy, but this is my first wireless router. I thought about getting a Wireless N to have an upgrade path, but none of our current laptops or iPhones can take advantage of this higher-speed communication protocol. I decided to go with the proven G technology for now based on previous user reports of solid signal strength, which I view as one of wireless N's potential weaknesses. Network: XP Desktop Vista Home Premium Laptop w/ Wireless G 2 iPhones - 3G, both w/ version 3+ OS 2 XP Corporate laptops with high level security Setup was fairly straight forward on the main desktop, hardwired XP machine. I ran into my first small problem when setting up security for the Vista laptop. Vista insisted on obtaining a PIN from the router, which was in fairly small print on a label hidden on

During a thunder storm, a lightening hit our back yard and then our air condition and the linksys router won't work anymore. amazing right!!! Therefore I got Belkin G+ Mimo from tigerdirect as a replacement with half price of the linksys one. TigerDirect's sales service may not be good, i.e. one guy hang up my phone call when I tried to confirm it comes with RJ45 port; Otherwise, this router just works as good as Linksys one for at least about 8 weeks so far. Plus this router price at TigerDirect's only asked is only 1/2 price of WRT54G. All I can say is that, "I am a happy man!!!".

Why buy a more expensive wireless router when this one was a snap to set up and works perfectly! This baby even monitors (by cool lights) if the internet provider is working, if the modem is working, if the router itself is working and most of all, if the wireless mode is on. Buy this now if you need wireless and wired router

I was a little reluctant to buy this particular router. I had only used linksys before and though I don't complaint about those, I must say this one is way better and cheaper than most other devices. It is indeed faster than standard wireless G and after a week, I haven't seen my self forced to reset/unplug/restart it at all. I also suggest you read the comments on the 1-star and 2-star reviews. Those ratings were given by people who did not read this product's features or were trying to use it with computers/modems from the 1980s.

I need 5 connections at my apartment building. This unit is replacing a Netgear FVS318 8 port wired switch. The Netgear was very reliable but when I boosted my speed from 3 Meg to 12 Meg, the Netgear would only allow 6-8 Meg of 12 to pass. The Belkin lets the whole 12 Meg through...Whoa! I'm flying now, and so are my tenants.

Four apartments are served through the four wired Ethernet ports on the back, while I am served by the wireless connection.

I only wish that the antennas were detachable so I could add an external antenna. Not that the range is bad, I would just like to send a signal to my neighbor; a strong one. Cant have it all.

I do have to reboot about once a week, do not know why but since the indicator lights tell me when there is trouble, a 30 second reboot does the trick.

I recommend this unit. If your paying for high bandwidth then by all means dont let your router steal any of it cuz it cant handle the speed. I tested it on my friends 18

After trying "Linksys with Speedbooster" and "Linksys RangeMax" wireless G routers (in one week) that did not work good at all, this is definately the best of the 7 Wireless G routers I have ever had. Its setup was tremendously easy and I absolutely love the troubleshooting lights at the bottom. It tells you if your modem is screwed up, so you don't keep power cycling the router thinking it has a problem. WHATEVER YOU DO... DO NOT GET LINKSYS ROUTERS. THEY SUCK!

I do not often write product reviews but the Belkin router deserves it. I am not a computer wiz and was looking for an easy to install router so that I could use my laptop anywhere in the house. The Belkin was as easy to install as previous reviews stated, including the security features. I have a Windows XP desktop connected directly to it and a Windows Vista home premium edition laptop that hooks up on a wireless connection. All computer products should be this easy and painless to install and it has worked flawlessly. One bonus is its range. I live in a rural area and my laptop still gets 3 bars out of 5 and connects fast and fine from my barn/workshop which is over 300ft away! Great value for the money

I set this up at my elderly father's house after a failed attempt with a competitor's (Linksys) product that failed during setup. The Belkin G+ router set up quickly and easily, and worked right away. The only reason I don't give it a 5-star is that I'm struggling to get it to work with a Ceiva electronic picture frame, which is an older device. So I think I need to do some special things with the Ceiva, not the Belkin.

i purchased this from some merchant on amazon which arived kinda used but seemed to be working fine at first but then i noticed the router loses accessibility to the internet even the internet even though my wireless connection was connected. this router is not as complex as the Linksys but it does have some bugs here and there. if you want a good router go for the linksys.

Hi, I'm no computer wiz, but I needed a router for home, main computer is an apple, satellite computer is microsoft Vista. I was told it would not work due to persnickity of Apple, so I bought an Apple router, spent several days, never got it to work. The Belkin plugged right up, but had some initial difficulties. Their help line was actually helpful, but I was more impressed with the help software that they included. It now works great, after only 1 hour of plug/re-plug. I highly recommend it!

Very impressed with the installation CD and the ease of setting up the security features. I had been warned that security may be difficult, but I did not find that to be true. The router is in my attic office and I have no problem receiving a good signal downstairs in the bedroom. This was my first wireless install and so far so good. Bestbuy also priced matched another store which made the deal even sweeter.

I was looking at a lot of G routers and my decision came between the Linksys WRT54G2 and the Belkin G+ MIMO Wireless Router. I read some good reviews on the Linksys WRT54G2 but it seemed that people were happier with the Belkin G+ MIMO (I was constantly seeing 5 stars at this site and others). With the great reviews from users, G+MIMO feature and Belkin's website that showed 1,000 feet range through 2 stories, I gave it a shot and was very happy that I did. My router is on the 2nd story all the way on the other side of the house and my laptop is downstairs on the opposite side and I am still getting a great signal through walls and mirrors. Don't get just a G router... Get the Belkin G+ MIMO Router! It matters.

This is the best G router out there. It's even better than the Linksys WRT54G2. It's extremely easy to set up with the cd. And once it's set up, you will have a router that will give you 1000 feet range and an excellent signal on a 1st or 2nd floor and all throughout your house. I watch videos with no lag at all. I surf the web with a couple computers at high-speed. I download files all the time. It never disconnected once.

G+ MIMO is simply better than basic G! It has a stronger reception and further range than the other G routers.

I decided to buy this router after my previous router would always have a "Very Low" signal even though my house isn't that big. Once this item arrived...problem solved! I was up and running in less than 5 minutes and have an "Excellent" signal all over the house.

I did purchase this item based on the previous reviews because when it comes to routers, I don't have any knowledge. But thanks to all the previous reviews, this item was great choice. I installed it in less than 10 min without any complication and it has been running great since then. The price is great.

I had D-Link for 4 years and need a replacement when it died. As i had a good experience with D-Link, wanted to try another D-Link, but found this one in good price and G+MIMO. It worked great, setup wise also very easy, but the first one i have to replace because it did not keep the admin password. Second one worked, but it requires frequent reboots, but it worked great for the time its up and runing. Router suddenty leave the signal which needs a power cycle. It never happened with mine $25 D-Link. I will return this and find a D-Link again.

I replaced an old Linksys B router that was close to 5 years old, but still worked great. Once I hooked up the router and got it configured, I tested the streaming capabilties to my Xbox 360. I was able to stream high quality movies and listen to music with no problem.

Had this router installed for about 25 days. Purchased it to use as an Access Point on an existing network to extend WiFi range. When I saw the "advanced features" it seemed to have (relative to my old Linksys router), I decided to make it the primary router, and use the Linksys as the AP.

After install, we could not keep reliable connections to the office VPN and Vonage phone service, nor could we maintain the music stream from our Columbus OH radio station (CD101!!). It was clearly a problem with the router, as when a "hiccup" would occur, everything that was Internet-connected (2 VPN connections, Vonage telephone calls, and the radio stream) would all drop at the same time. Could not improve performance, even after tweaking the advanced settings (something a casual user would not want to do). When I removed the Belkin router (made it the AP) and re-installed our 6-year-old Linksys WRT54G router as the primary, all of the Internet troubles disappeared. But...

I had new

This router and software is VERY user friendly..
I had a bad experience with the new linksys(internal antenna model) and tried this Belkin..Very glad I tried this model..Setup was toooo easy(even the wireless security was a setup dream,,no talking to TEC Support)..This took me 10 mins to setup(with wireless security enabled) and most importantly ,,no dropped wireless signals even after 4 hours..
The linksys (internal antenna model) had to be constantly unpluged and repluged after 1 or two hours...
THIS BELKIN G+MIMO IS THE ONE!!!!
VERY Easy Setup!!!!!

I am fairly computer literate and I found this router to be exactly what I had needed. I have owned a previous belkin router that seemed to be a little more complicated with the initial setup, but this router was simply plug and play. As soon as I plugged it in, it connected so quickly that I had to stop and read the instructions, because I could not believe that it was that easy. Even better, I did not have to go through a lot of intricate settings just to encrypt it. Thus, this router easily met my expectations and I would highly recommend it to someone that wants to go wireless in their home, but does not really want to spend a lot of money. As well, I purchased a "like new" version and spent far less than the brand new price, yet I received a brand new router.

Did a lot of confusing research on routers. I was at target one day and looked at what they had and had a choice between this and a much more expensive linksys. The employee at target told me that this would be great for my needs. Could not find much info on this particular one but decided to give it a try.
I am definitely not very computer literate, so this was a dream to connect. Just follow the easy directions and CD it supplies. I have an apple computer and vonage phone hooked to the back with ethernet connection (has 4 ports on the back). Then I also have a nintendo wii and sony ps3 that is connected wirelessly. All of these were a breeze to connect. No problems whatsoever. Please note I have not done any online gaming with the ps3 and probably won't. Mainly want internet for updates and the shopping channels so have no idea about gaming lag times. For my purpose it is great. No problems with any connections so far. Hope this helps someone.

This router had me up and running in about 10 minutes. Securty was easy to set up with the instructions in the online owners manual. I am not very computer savy and have only had one other wireless router whitch a friend had to set up for me. I was able to do this without any help from friends or the tec's at belkin.
