I love this game! nothing like hanging out with frineds after one of those nights and you guys just rock out to all kinds of fun jams! I would highly reccomend this game if you have the space for the equipment and friends.. only bad thing about it... your friends will never want to leave your house till they beat your high score or unlock all the songs lol..

We bought this game and Rock Band (1) after buying GH: World Tour basically to have more/different songs. The songs are a lot of fun to play. I like the note layout, especially on the drums. It's a bit more intuitive than GH4. I didn't care as much for the gig structure of the game. There are single-song gigs, and those unlock multi-song gigs where you select the songs. But because you can only select unlocked (already played) songs for these sets, you sometimes have to play some songs twice in order to proceed and unlock new venues or songs. That's how a band has to do it in real life, so I can't argue with it, but I'd rather replay some of the songs at my own pace. I play this game with the GH4 hardware, and on the PS3, it *does* work. Note to thise who own both RB2 and Rock Band (1): If you have the GH4 hardware on the PS3, you've no doubt noticed that the GH4 drums won't work with the original Rock Band. To resolve this, all you have to do is go to the playstation store and

Great music game. I owned both this and the Guitar Hero games. Rock Band is by far the better game in my opinion. Better music, controls, and gameplay.

This game is fun, good clean fun. My friends and I love to play this and the online library is pretty extensive.
If you have anymore than 4 people to play though it gets boring fast for those not playing. Plus the music is like $2 per song to buy it off the online music library. Kind of a ripoff IMO as it's only used on the game. It's not like you can store it on your computer or anything.
The graphics aren't anything to get excited about. You're concentrating on the notes anyway so you don't have time to look around.
The rocker design is fun too. It can get pretty detailed and you can see the changes you make to your guy when you are playing.
The drums are a little small for a grown man so that can get uncomfortable as that is my fav instrument to play. But all in all, a great experience.

For a while i thought it was silly to have a plasic guitart, or other instrument, and "play" along to other peoples music. I played it at a buddys house and it was actually really fun.
SO i bought the first one for my PS3 and it is a blast and the family enjoyed it too. So when the second one came out i didn't hesitate. It is a lot of fun too. The new songs, costumes, and accessories are cool. Some of the songs i really dont like. Of course there is a generation gap here since i am in my 30's and im not hip to some of these new bands, nor do i like them, but you can buy additional songs more to your liking.
Overall, a lot of fun. Great for parties or family fun.
