This Camera is no-software - easy to use (just plug in USB ) for Mac Tiger 10.4 or higher!
The no-software camera has automatic focus so sometimes you may have to shift this way or that to get "in shape" on the other end. But most of the time the image is sharp.
Please note that the camera will not work with older systems! (Tiger 10.4 +.... is needed!)
The camera is recognized by iChat and Skype, but it is not recognized by other 'Skype-like' programs such as OOVOO ..... The camera is simply not found/recognized by the chatting software (possibly because there is no software installed) .
From the all choices for older Macs (laptops) this is the better one, but not without some bugs.
I have had no problems with it so far, so I cant say anything about the customer service.
Over all I recommend it with caution.

The "Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac" title is misleading.
It's not Mac only!
In fact, it's the easiest webcam I've ever installed, on XP (Windows XP Pro SP3), and on Linux (Fedora 8 and Fedora 9).
On XP, it has full native support. It's driverless. Windows XP will install it automatically. It has full native support in Windows, including image preview in My Computer, and image capture for changing your account's icon in Control Panel/User Accounts.
On Linux, it was recognized instantly. It uses the "uvcvideo" driver. The "ucview" test program worked, and Skype worked.
The webcam uses the new USB video device class standard. This means that it's generic, like a USB keyboard or USB mouse, and will never require a driver.
Autofocus and autoexposure (light level) is done purely in hardware. There's no software to install. This is different from the earlier Logitech QuickCam 9000, which depended on Windows software to do the focus and exposure, which lowered the price of

This camera is excellent. The image it produces is crisper than the one my iSight produces. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend it.
For the people who are having trouble:
The camera needs a usb2 connection and only works with os x version 10.4.11 and up.
