My 15 year old son just plays games that have to do with murder/death/kill (MDK). I bought him this game to see what he thinks and believe it or not, he loves it. I am always seeing him playing it. I glad I found something else for him to play. LOL.

Up on the block this time is another great Nintendo DS game for kids called Kirby Super Star Ultra. Yeah, I think it needs some more adjectives on the end of it too, but I digress. This is actually an old game that's been made new again with some new things thrown in just for the DS. The game is pretty straightforward. You're this pink ball with red shoes that can jump and fly. That's not very exciting, but there's one more thing you can do that makes this game so interesting.
You see, Kirby has some serious lung power because he can suck up various creatures in his way and assume whatever special powers they have. That's where the real action lies. Kirby can go from an unassuming huggable balloon to a sword-wielding, fire blowing, yo-yo throwing beast of destruction.
To make things even more fun, you can spit that creature back out. When you do, they've apparently had a change of heart while hanging out inside Kirby because they now follow you and help you out on your adventures. This

KSSU is a remake of the great Kirby Super Star. All of the main games and one of the minigames are included from the original, in addition to a few new ones. One of the first things you will notice is that the graphics look great. They look almost identical to the recent Kirby Squeak Squad (it may very well be the same engine). Also for the first time in the Kirby series we are treated to full 3D cutscenes.
Essentially each of the games are bite sized versions of the normal Kirby games. Also each game slightly tweaks the traditional Kirby gameplay. In the other Kirby games (except the original Kirby's Dream Land) Kirby can copy powers from most enemies but one hit will knock that power out of you. In most of these games it takes multiple hits to lose a power and powers have different effects depending if you are moving, jumping, charged up, etc.
Here is a brief description of the games included.
Spring Breeze: This is made up of screens and bosses from the first Kirby game, Dream Land.
