This handy little device does what it says it does but it is buggy. Mine works but every once in awhile it turns off and ceases to recognize the monitor but after rebooting and unplugging / replugging the USB device a few times, my computer recognizes it again and it works. Also if my computer goes into hibernation, it ceases to recognize the device and I have to do the above over again to get it working. Some of the comments left in the user feedback section here are inaccurate, the device does recognize wide screen resolution such as 1440x900 which is the resolution I currently use. But if you try to make this change in the Display section of your Control Panel, it will bug out. You have to right click on the icon in your task pane bottom right hand corner of screen and make setting adjustments there. Like I said, it is handy but a bit too buggy for my taste. Next time I will invest in a graphics card that can handle multiple monitors or but a second cheaper graphics card for my extra PCI slot. It's a but more work but probably lower maintenance than this device.
