Followed the instructions. Works as intended to. I can now sit on my couch and operate the mouse without any problems.
Works on practically any surface I've tried so far. Feels nice and smooth no lag what so ever. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a mouse with good wireless range and ease of use.

Love Logitech laptop accessories. This mouse is great and the nano plug is barely noticeable. Been using this mouse on almost every surface. Works great. A great addition to any laptop.

I chose this mouse primarily because the style and color matched my laptop, but also because it had all the functions I expect from a premium mouse--not the least of which was the convenient, tiny size of the USB receiver. I purchased the mouse about 15 months ago, and the reason I'm posting my review now is that I've just replaced the batteries for the first time. My friend has a Bluetooth mouse. Although she doesn't use it every time she uses her laptop, she's had to replace the batteries about once a month. I use this model daily, and I don't even turn it off anymore--it goes into standby mode after not being used for a period of time, then powers up when the mouse is moved again. I've even dropped it a few times from at least a three foot height, and it's still working great. The only reason it's not five stars across the board is that by its nature it's a compact mouse. I bought this mouse to replace my old logitech wired mouse. Going wireless is very convenient. I was worried at first because of its battery life and constant replacing of the battery. But this mouse has this feature that turns off itself after a period of inactivity and turns on immediately with a simple shake of the mouse. It's very responsive. As for the comfort it's very ergonomic in your hand. It's has a glossy surface for the left and right buttons (which often leaves fingerprints) and on it's side it has a rubber feel which allows you to grip the mouse. The size of the mouse feels right for an average sized hand. It's a little bigger than the logitech v220 wireless mouse. The construction quality feels professionally made in other words, it doesn't feel cheaply produced. It's made to last a long time under moderate use. At first I was skeptical about buying this product since I did no have a good experience with a previous wirless mouse, but decided to buy it given the recommendation of a BB sales person.
When I plugged in the nano receiver I was shocked how small and powerful it is. It works on any surface. I do not have to use a mouse pad anymore which is great. I have tried it on my lap using jeans, using shorts, on a glass table, on my wooden desk and it works like a charm everywhere. I also really like the fact that I do not have to turn it on or off everytime I use it/not use it.
Overall a great product!

This was bought to replace a Microsoft cordless mouse that had a large USB receiver; I think the receiver broke from getting knocked around, since it stuck out an inch or two. Also, the Microsoft mouse didn't have an on/off switch, and it was prone to drain the batterty when in my briefcase. Anyway, when it died I wanted something that solved both problems (receiver size and on/off problem) and I must tell you that the V450 is perfect, does just what I want/need. The nano-receiver is so small you won't know it's there. And regarding mouse functionality, it does everyting I expect/need from a mouse... I was kind of surprised to see the desktop USB extension stand, of no use to me...

Great overall design and perfect for people who travel with their laptops.
Wish it sold for $39 instead of $49 and it's a little small for large hands, but the mouse is nice and heavy and has a quality feel to it. The USB Receiver is nice and small and doesn't need to be removed when travelling.

This is a great little wireless mouse, light, easy to use, no setup CD required, plug and play. Had trouble finding the receiver, thought it was left out of the package, but it's located under the battery cover! Receiver is small so you can leave it in your USB port forever. Does not stick out, don't even know its there. Works very well, glides easily on just about any surface. Do not use on glass or mirror surface as it will not work. Perfect for mobile laptop users.

This is simply the best mouse ever. The usb adapter is very small and doesn't take up very much space hanging off the side of the computer. The mouse fits small hands perfectly and is ergonomically designed. Batteries appear to last a reasonable length of time. Great mouse!

This is the second mouse of this model that I have purchased. I have one for my netbook and one for my desktop. These are the best mice I have ever had, and I have had about a dozen wiresless mice over the years. Battery life is very long. The motion is very smooth and precise. Even though the mouse is smaller than standard, it feels very good even in use on my desktop. Even though I have bluetooth capability on my netbook, I chose this mouse with the tiny receiver that can stay plugged in even in the netbook case so it would be useful on other devices - same price as bluetooth. I would not hesitate to buy another or recommend this to anyone.

Searched forever to find the perfect mouse for my laptop. Had to be wireless since my cat liked to eat the wires and has done so on 4 or 5 mouses by now. I've had a couple of wireless mouses back when they were relatively new and was not impressed. Batteries didn't last long and often times they would lag or lose signal, so I've stuck to wired, until now. Because of those reasons, I really wanted to get a mouse that was reliable but also as comfortable as my very nice wired mouse. (I also kinda wanted one that looked good...but it was not necessary) I finally narrowed it down between this one and the more expensive Logitech Nano(around $55). Since I really didn't need to spend so much for a mouse plus I wasn't 100% confident in how good it would work, I chose this lower priced one. Let me just tell you that I am more then satisfied! which is exactly the same model, but in flat black, rather than the glossy fingerprint magnet shown here. it works great, feels solid, and takes months to use up the rechargeable AA batteries. the nano receiver is small enough to not obstruct adjacent usb ports, which is a plus for newer laptops where they are in limited supply, often almost touching each other. ive had it for about 8 months, banged around in the laptop bag often enough, and it’s still in one piece and working great. just don’t leave the nano receiver laying around if you have cats. it will end up under the sofa very quickly.

This is a great mouse. The best I ever used, I've used it now fr about 4 months... No problems at all. The Nano reciever almost disappears and you for get it's even thier. So you won't bump it while your using your mouse.

Most of the reviews you will read about this mouse are based on first impressions. I too would have given this mouse 5 stars based on a first impression, however after about 5 months of use, this mouse completely failed. Installing new several sets of new batteries has completely failed in restoring use. This particular mouse, driven on AA batteries completely failes after 5 months of use. Leads one to wonder about the longevity of anything with time. Don't trust initial impressions. Read long-term use reviews and base your purchasing on these reviews.

I bought this because I'm not a big fan of Bluetooth devices just for the sole fact that you alway's have to re-sync it up with your computer all the time, not so much with this mouse, just plug the receiver into your USB port and you are ready to go. When you are done with it, just simply shut it off and it'll be ready for your next use. I had one problem with this mouse at first, but that was an User error, i broke the receiver somehow and it stopped working, but i exchanged it for the same item and now it works perfectly! I just don't mess it up this time.
Overall it's a solid Mouse, comfortable and easy to use/set-up, it's a definite must if you are looking for a wireless mouse that's reasonably priced.

Got this to replace my Apple wireless mighty mouse, that turned out not to be so mighty. So far so great with this one. Nothing to complain about. Would definitely recommend. I've had nothing but good experiences with Logitech products, and this one is no exception. Love It!

Great wireless laser mouse for the money. Don't waste your money on the microsoft version. The Nano USB receiver is so small, I love it. Stays out of the way especially on laptops with USB ports on the sides rather than the rear of the PC. No long bulky receiver sticking out. Comes with Duracell batteries in the package! Easy to setup. Buttons have great feel, I like that the mouse wheel indents as you turn it, I personally don't like the smooth rolling wheels. The battery compartment even has a spot to store the Nano receiver if you pack up and travel with your laptop. Overall A++ Love it!

I bought this mouse to replace an older Logitech mouse. My mother has a logitech wired mouse that has lasted about 8 years and flawless. I was really lucky to get this mouse on sale for about $20. I plugged the receiver into my computer and immediately my computer installed the drivers and I was good to go. Little Tip: If you want side-scrolling features and the zoom feature, you'll need to install the Logitech SetPoint software from the Logitech website. The batteries last well over a year, which will save you a lot of money. Overall, a GREAT BUY!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Tiny usb adapter is a big plus (so that your usb plug is not being damaged by crashing stuff around the adapter). it can be turned off if not in use (to improve battery life). Ergonomic design. usb adapter can be stored inside cap...a usb cable extensionfor using mouse with desktop computers comes with it..

Got this mouse to go with another laptop, but when I got my new laptop with intergrated bluetooth, I had to get the MS bluetooth mouse. This one works better, but since it's not true BT, it has been relegated to use on another desktop we have. It's still a great mouse, just wish it was true bluetooth, I'd stil be using it daily.

this is my first laser mouse for my HP. First the size is perfect, the the set up was soooo easy my one year old can do it. The options that are given to customize the buttons are great especially the document flip option. That allows you to pick either which window to bring up or any document you have open. It shows a 3D view of anything curreently running and you can scrool to select. I was blown away by this feature!!!!! Maves multi yasking soooo much easier. I included a screen shot of the document flip option.

Connect and go! No hassels, no software installs, no reboots. Plug it in and start using it. My previous wireless mouse was acting jerky and wouldn't highlight. I was sure what the problem was. I tried troubleshooting but nothing. So I ordered this mouse and from the first plug in...it works like a dream. I love the smaller size too. Fits my hand better.

This is a great mouse, it was very easy to install (just plug it in). it also has a tilt wheel that will allow you to scroll horizontally, but to use that feature you must download drivers...very easy...there is no set up just install the drivers and it works.

I got this for my HP Mini 1030 (also purchased from BestBuy), and am very pleased with performance. I generally use my Netbook whilst sitting in a rocking chair using a lapboard (egads! also from BestBuy), and the mouse moves freely and tracks accurately. The Nano receiver is, as far as I'm concerned, the crown jewel of this system. It is so small you just ignore it. Of course, the mouse is shaped well and fits nicely in my hand. Not as nice a my big MX Revolution for my desktop, but still very nice for a notebook mouse.

I was trying to decide between this and the v550 nano but i went with this one because it was cheaper and i wan't sure if I would like the frictionless scroll. The mouse was really easy to install, i simply plugged in the USB reciever and it started working 5 seconds later.
The coolest thing about this mouse in my opinion is the scrolling wheel. I didn't realize the scrolling bar could click left and right until I opened up the mouse and downloaded the drivers for it. You can program the lfet and right click of your scrolling bar to whatever you want with the drivers you download off of www.logitech.com/downloads.
The only down side for me was the clicking of the scrolling wheel was a bit inconsistant. Because you can click the scrolling wheel left and right, the downward click is a bit sensative and picky but I think i will get used to it. Overall great product.

I got this mouse when it was $20 off (hehe), excellent mouse. I like how you just plug it in and your good to go and for the nano receiver its nano, so small you barely notice its hooked up to your USB port. Another neat thing is there a compartment for the receiver inside the mouse. Overall, I've had no problems with it, works great, and worth the money.

Well this mouse proved to be terribel. After removing my anti-virus software so I could down load the software from logitech, I installed the software and rebooted my machine. After several hours of trying to adjujst the speed and get rid of the lag ( 2-3 ) seconds to make it move after sitting still for a few seconds I finally gave up, called Best buy to report it as defective; boxed it up and shipped it back. Logitech mice are usually great. I have used several before and the last one Ihad lasted almost six years but this one was terrible. I cannot recommend that you buy it even if it is on sale.

This mouse is simple and easy to set up. All I did was place the batteries (included) into the mouse and the receiver into my laptop. I use a HP laptop with Vista x32 and just plugging in the receiver started a download, 15 seconds later it was done and working perfectly. This is my second Logitech mouse and I think they work great (first one was a wired connection I bought 8 years ago and is STILL working!) Great contour to the hand and the scrolling right left and up down wheel is excellent. I highly recommend this product!

LOGITECH is really making good products, and V450 nano is one of their best products. buttons function perfectly and precise, this works almost on any surface. i luv to view pictures using the zoom in/out, the small receiver is great, once you put it in, you dont need to take it out anymore, nothing to worry about breakage. no company makes this size of USB receiver only LOGITECH. and this is the smallest in the world. I luv the black glossy finish and it matches the fusion finish of my TOSHIBA SATELLITE laptop. but sad to say i have to exchange this to another model because of my big hands. if you have a big hands like mine this is not for you. try the logitech LX8 or the MX1100. but the bottom line this mouse works great. keep keep up the good work logitech. i luv all your products and will continue to support.

bought this mouse for my girlfriends vaio laptop. It works really good for her. The super small nano receiver is nice because you don't have to worry about bumping it and breaking it like she did with the old v320. You don't even have to unplug it when you transport it. The profile is so small that she just leaves the receiver plugged in the usb port all the time.
It is a pretty basic mouse without a lot of extra features (it does have side scrolling) but it suits her needs just fine. The size is also comfortable to use and easy to transport. it's smaller than a desktop mouse but bigger than a laptop mouse.
The laser tracking works well also, you can use it on pretty much any surface except glass. Battery life is excellent also.

I bought this mouse a few weeks ago for use with my laptop. I was worried about damaging a USB port on my computer, as a few of my coworkers have done when they purchased other brand wireless USB mice that had large USB receivers and subsequently bumped the stick when moving the laptop, bending the receiver and destroying the USB port.
Not the case with this product. The ultraslim Nano receiver works great, and it never gets in the way. The shape of the mouse is ergonomic, and the traction padding on the sides of the mouse itself help you keep a hold of it.
The on/off button on the bottom of the mouse has an LED indicator to let you know it's operational (as well as another light on the top of the mouse which goes out when the mouse goes into standby... the light on the bottom remains on until you turn it off).
I use the mouse quite a bit (several hours per day) and still have yet to change the batteries. There's other options, but this really is the BEST BUY

I just got it, and it works great! I saw it had a five out of five rating, and at the time it was 39.99, and now at the price of 49.99 it is still a great deal. All I had to do was plug it in, and it worked right away. It works extremely well, and is probably the best wireless mouse that Best Buy has to offer.

the mouse feels great and works naturally with my hand. at end of day, i turn off the mouse and leave the tiny receiver plugged into my computer. if the battery lasts nearly as long as they say it well, this mouse will be my favorite of all time!

The Logitech V450 mouse is perfect for any laptop, and even desktop. With an attractable price tag of $34.99, it'll fit anyone's budget. But obviously that's the sale price and it's still pretty affordable for the original $49.99. The thing I most love about this mouse is the micro size receiver. Also, I like that the mouse works on every surface. One thing that I wasn't expecting was that It includes a USB extender, I think that's pretty sweet. But there's always a downside to every happy story, I dislike that it's glossy and leaves smudges. Still... It's one fantastic mouse. :)

I totally dig this mouse. It's quite responsive and comfortable to use. The nano receiver is ideal for travel since you leave in a usb port all the time. I had another Logitech travel mouse before with the larger receiver, and was always concerned I'd lose the receiver when puting the mouse in and out of my laptop bag. Now I don't have that fear. Battery life is great too.

I have always wanted a mouse that I could use in bed, or from a distance and this is definitely that mouse. I can't stand using mouse pads so I wanted to find a wireless mouse with that capability. The small receiver also adds an extra bonus to the price, which wasn't to terrible. I have never taken the receiver out because it is nearly invisible. It sticks out MAYBE a half inch, which is both appealing and convenient if you travel. The battery life is super long, and the batteries are easy to install. Wonderful mouse and I would recommend this to anyone!

this is the best wireless mouse out on the market. I bought it when i got my gateway FX laptop computer, and it is so much better than having to use the touch pad everytime. And when you want to put your computer up on the desk and sit back and relax on the coulch while scrolling through music, this little thing comes in way handy. if you are looking for a wireless mouse this one is the only way to go

I love how small the usb receiver for this mouse is. The sleek look and the smoothness of the mouse on my laptop screen is great. It's a little small, but most laptop mice are small compared to desktop mice. It is also easy to install. I just plugged in the usb receiver and the mouse was ready to use.

This is one great mouse. I was actually considering the VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse but it was $72 - and for 22 dollars more, all you get is 2 extra buttons and only 6 months on the batteries; BUY this one instead!

I purchased this mouse and it's the best one I've ever used. I used to have a microsoft mouse but it stopped working, but not this. I've had it for some time and it's perfect! I also use it for gaming on my laptop like Call of Duty 4 and it's the perfect mouse.

The receiver barely sticks out from the USB port. This means it is less likely to get broken off. Very responsive mouse. Haven't found any problems with it.

I like the rubberized grips on the sides of the mouse and of course the small nano-reciver. This mouse was money well spent and perfect for my laptop. However, if the laptop is your primary PC and you use it a lot, your hand may get fatigued because of the mouse's small size; because it's small, it does not provide enough suport for your entire hand. If this is your situation, get a regular-sized mouse and your computing will be much more comfortable. But keep in mind, it's a notebook mouse... it's supposed to be small, it's not intended nor designed for prolonged use.

I bought this mouse for my laptop. I had tried several others and were disappointed with the distance and some would not work on all surfaces. This is the best, the distance is great. I have used it up to 10' feet away and it works great on any surface. I leave the small receiver plugged in all the time. The price is a little more then the other ones I tried, but it is well worth the money. Highly recommend this mouse.

The wife loves this mouse. Installation on her Toshiba M305D-S4831 laptop was a breeze, just plug the receiver into a USB slot, put batteries in the mouse and Vista 64bit found it just fine.
The receiver is so small, I just plugged it in and forgot about it. No having to unplug it to protect it from getting bumped/bent/broken.
Mouse also comes with a USB desktop garage for the receiver. This has a 5 foot cable for those that are using the mouse with a desktop.

A great notebook mouse. You can leave the USB reciever in the laptop as its so small that won't interfer with the laptop bag. The mouse is excellent. Very sensitive and adjustible.

Got the silver one for my wife to match her new Dell Laptop. Vista recognized it immediately! She has used it as a hand held 'clicker' for advancing some PowerPoint persentations she gave. The left button advanced the slides and the wheel allowed her to scroll back or forward in the presentation (without having it on a tabletop).
I got the black one for use with my laptop, XP recognized it immediately. I have used this now for about a month, couple hours every day. There is a small button on the bottom to 'turn off the mouse' next to the button is a green led which will slowly fade out when it is turned off. The green LED on the top will light up as soon as my laptop boots up and it senses the wireless connection. When the PC goes to sleep, so does the mouse! As soon as the PC wakes up, the mouse comes back to life.
We are both very satisfied with this mouse and HIGHLY recommend
Got the silver one for my wife to match her new Dell Laptop. Vista recognized it immediately! She has used it as a hand held 'clicker' for advancing some PowerPoint persentations she gave. I use my macbook heavily at work and I bought the V450 because I wanted a way to prevent excessive trackpad wear and to navigate a little more effectively than a trackpad allows. The mouse rocks. It feels solid in my hands, tracks wonderfully even over the wrinkles in the sheets on my bed, and has had no WIFI interference to date. It's not too big that you can't take it traveling and yet it's not so small that usage is difficult. Really, it's the perfect size. The micro transmitter thingy is really a brilliant invention, and it was equally innovative to make the mouse hibernate when it senses that you've stowed the transmitter within the battery compartment. Also, the scroll wheel's three clicking functions work great with exposé on my mac.
Cons: I wish Logitech had made the scroll wheel a little more robust feeling. It's satisfactory, but it feels a little cheepy when you scroll (the model up from the V450 fixes this but Logitech should really put the nicer wheel on all their

I use this wireless mouse with my MacBook Pro. The set up was easy, and you can customize the mouse controls to suit your preferences. It has many programmable buttons, great ergonomics, and is lightweight. Its small USB receiver can remained plugged in, and it barely sticks out of my MacBook so it is less prone to breakage. I leave it plugged in when I travel without worrying about it breaking off. This mouse has a scroll wheel that has two settings: click wheel for precise scrolling, or the fast scroll where the wheel keeps spinning for about 8 seconds allowing you to quickly scroll through documents. The rubberized grip on the sides provide for a firm grip, and it has great design and quick response. Overall, the best notebook mouse on the market.

The combination of laser technology and the nano receiver makes this the ultimate mouse for laptop users. The Laser works on any surface perfectly, even ones that standard optical mice can’t handle. Also, thanks to the laser precision, you have far greater control of the pointer on your screen. This mouse is the perfect size for notebook users, smaller than standard mice but not so small you can’t use it. The nano receiver is a must for notebook users, once you put it in your computer you can just forget about it. If you still want to remove the receiver there is a storage slot inside the mouse so you don't loose it (it’s very small and otherwise easily loose).

I brought this cordless mouse in bundle with the HP DV2945se laptop. The first thing that caught my attention was the size of the receiver. I have brought cordless mouses (mice? to be grammatically correct) before and all have huge receivers. I personally will be using my laptop for it's portability at school and work so having a big bulky receiver wouldn't be a good match. The nano receiver is so small you won't even notice it being attached to your laptop. I leave the receiver in my laptop and haven't taken it out. The feel and fit of the mouse on your hand is great. I like the contours of the mouse since it fits very nicely in your hand. As for the quality of the movement on screen... one of the best I have seen. Totally recommend this mouse.

I have been using it for a week steadily. It has a simpler design than the more expensive VX Nano, but being an average guy with big hands, this V450 fits my hand better than the VX Nano, which has a flatter design and extra buttons I don't need that get in the way of the index finger button 1. An added bonus for me is the V450 with the orange stripe/black gloss finish matches perfectly with the copper orange color scheme of my Gateway 6860-FX laptop that I also got on sale at Best Buy. The weight and laser on this mouse are fine for gaming.
BTW...on my desktop, I still use my favorite mouse of all time, the first and original Logitech Mouseman Cordless. Going on 11 years old now, it is a tribute to Logitech's build quality to last for thousands of hours of hard gaming.

I purchased the V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse as an add-on to my new Toshiba laptop. I do presentations and was able to use the mouse from across the room to the laptop with the presentation being projected on the wall. "Great Distance" The Nano-receiver plugged into the side and with it's small size blends into the machine and you don't even realize it's there.
