I was worried after reading some of the other reviews. No need to worry. Removed from box and connected to computer. Everything worked great. Beautiful colors and great clarity. I am completely satisfied.

Great monitor for everyday use, can't beat it for the price. I bought one a few months ago & purchased a 2nd, so I could have them side by side when I'm working from home. Great size, clear, easy to setup (plug in & turn on). Very happy!

I am very happy with the quality of this monitor. I have owned it for a few weeks now and feel that it is the best for the dollar. A few minor adjustments are necessary for you liking but all in all it is perfect for what you get. "Screen fills the frame". I hate excesive frame around my monitor and this was perfect, nearly "frameless". Yes would buy again.

Outside of the DVI port being DOA on this machine and almost pulling my hair out figuring out why the DVI wouldn't work, we finally guessed it had to be an issue with the DVI port on the monitor. A very quick RMA with PC Connection had a new monitor to me within 48 hours that worked like a charm.

This is the second Acer monitor that I have purchased. I have an Acer 19" monitor that I purchased two years ago. It operates perfectly and so does my latest Acer monitor, a 22". I also owned an Acer desktop about five years ago and it also ran perfectly! Their products are excellent!

Awesome monitor! Crisp picture, fast response time, DVI and VGA inputs. I use it for gaming and movies. So far so good 7 months later. Makes my MAG monitor pale in comparison. Actually the MAG is fading and I didn't really notice it until I hooked up the ACER. FYI: Make sure to set up your power options to shut the monitor off after a certain amount of time when not in use. My other monitor probably faded prematurely because I kept it on the screen saver all night.

I bought this monitor from Amazon.com after seeing the great reviews which were posted for it. I'm not disappointed. I love it! The reviews were really a help and all the cables I needed were included. It arrived super fast and in excellent condition (as everything I get from Amazon.com arrives). It was very easy to set up. Great monitor for what I needed it for and loved the price.

I have doubled my viewing area and that's beyond fabulous for me. So far, everything has worked perfectly. Was feeling a little guilty about splurging on this because I didn't "need" it, but I couldn't live without it now.

I bought this monitor several months ago to accompany my laptop. I bought this monitor at a great price and it is a great quality. Since I've bought the monitor I have seen no dead pixels and the picture quality is great. The set-up was easy and the shipping was very fast. I got the monitor only two days after I ordered it. If your looking from a great quality for a good price, buy this monitor.

Overall I was happy with the picture quality, ease of use, stylish design and good tech support. I had a problem the LCD would not run on my older system (Win 98) called tech support, they stated that I needed a more robust Video card, tried to replace the vid card but compatibilty of vid card available drivers etc. could not get the LCD working on this system. Had to upgrade to a newer system.

I personally own this monitor and I can say I would buy it again. It's a great monitor and does the job quite well.
My only complaints are that blacks are really washed out on this monitor and light bleed around the edges is quite noticeable.
95% of the time (I use it for home office and gaming use) I either don't notice it or it's not a factor. However, sometimes it can be a bit distracting if you're gaming on a very dark game. Even then though it's not really that distracting.
However, it's enough to keep this at a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating.
If you're looking for a bargain, this is it, great monitor .

I am just thrilled at the brightness and contrast of this monitor. I would highly recommend it becuase of it's sturdy contruction and amazing clarity.

We now have three of these monitors in use - 2 by software developers and 1 by a manager. All three users find them to be an excellent product.
In addition, ordering, shipment and delivery were handled seamlessly and promptly - I was amazed at how fast they arrived!

Use it for prosumer photo editing, very good picture, no dead pixels...Monitor calibration is not yet done, but definitely needed.
Cons: Black color button labels on black monitor case is almost invisible...No height adjustment.

I haven't meddled with the idea of an LCD monitor in some time, but the size and price finally made them too enticing not to grab one. I intended to use the new one as a main and use my CRT for better color while digital coloring, etc. I hooked both up side by side...
I was amazed with the clarity and brightness of the screen. The adjustments for color temperature and fine tuning for modes such as graphics or text were amazing. It made my CRT look dingy enough that I bought a second matching monitor and went fully LCD.
Its not the fanciest LCD out there, it doesn't tilt or such, but if you need a solid, affordable LCD to try, I would recommend this one. Bought two of them, and they both work wonderfully.

This monitor has an issue which certain people should be aware of. If you use two computers hooked to your monitor, most monitors can flip between them with a simple button on the front. But this one, despite having 6 buttons on the front, has no such feature. Switching computers requires many steps through menus each time.
Otherwise, it worked great for a little less than 6 months, then the picture suddenly got fuzzy and pixelated (although it still worked OK if I switched to the less clear analog input). I contacted Acer (who makes their phone number very difficult to obtain, by the way) and they refused to do anything other than give me an address in Texas to ship it to, wait while they diagnose and then repair or replace it, and then wait while they ship it back.
Since I use it for a living on a daily basis, waiting several weeks for transit and analysis is unacceptable and instead means "too bad -- buy a new one". But after explaining that need to the rep and then a supervisor,

This monitor has been FANTASTIC in it's image quality and setup is easy - I have only used it thus far with an HDMI to DVI converter. My Gateway laptop T1616 TL-58 1.9Ghz & 3 Gig of RAM does 'ok' with its x1200 integrated (128+ MB shared system RAM) graphics chipset. So far I have not had an issue of slow start-up with this monitor as it stays in stand-by mode and I can see the boot-up screen of the PC just fine.
I have an older 7500 Power PC Mac I upgraded with a G3-900 MHz processor slot card that I have been working on from time to time and it has OS X in it - don't pick on me - I Love Macs - and if I get the time will try out this monitor on it.
I have not tried the Analog input as of yet. Acer Lcd's are a great value for your money. This 22" Lcd was a great price and the picture was great as well. 3 year warranty makes this a no brainer to purchase. Highly recommend any Lcd's from Acer.

When I read the other reviews about this monitor not waking up or going to sleep properly with a Mac I was a bit worried. However, using a DVI connection with my Mac Mini I can tell you that it works absolutely flawlessly and looks terrific. It wakes up from sleep mode instantly and was recognized by the Mac immediately upon plugging it in. There is not one dead pixel on the whole monitor. This thing is outstanding. At first the colors looked a bit washed out but once I adjusted the color using OS X's monitor calibration tool the colors looked deep and rich and crystal clear. Highly Recommended. I would not hesitate for one second to purchase this for a Mac with a digital connection.

The Acer monitor is a great value - excellent picture, great size for extra "real estate", and an excellent choice for anyone wanting to replace or add to (as I did) their computer. I now have two monitors. I write web pages as a "hobby", as well as use both monitors for my primary hobby of amateur radio. The Acer has given me great satisfaction in general use, as well as for web development or relaxation.

We now have 7 of these monitors, would I buy another one? You bet I would. For the money there might not be a better buy out there. Quality is way higher than expected, for the expenditure. Until they discontinue this model we will continue to purchase it for every unit we purchase.

I was in search for an inexpensive LCD monitor as a Christmas Gift to replace a 19" CRT that my son was using for gaming.
Initially, I was a bit hesitant since in the past I have only every purchased Samsung LCD monitors. The price seemed right so I decided to give the Acer brand a try and I must say I was pleasantly suprised.
The picture quality was crisp and the contrast was vivid. We didn't notice any "tearing" while playing some very high framerate 3D graphics games (such as Call of Duty and World of Warcraft). The construction of the monitor seems sturdy and well thought out.
Lastly, the price was unbeatable at the time, at a mear 169.99 shipped (via PC Connection).

I've been looking for a new flat screen LCD for gaming on my PC. I was amazed when I saw the price for my new Acer 22 inch monitor! It arrived really fast even though I was ordering for myself late for Christmas and it was easy to set up. Picture quality is excellent and the difference in gaming on a 15 inch monitor and a 22 inch monitor is awesome.

Due to the large viewing space - this monitor is wonderful for working on Excel spreadsheets. So many more columns are visually available for use.

The monitor came with a conspicuous dead pixel (permanently blue green) in the northeast quarter. Its a small detail for a monitor at this price, but definitely a sign of bad qa/qc. If you're willing to spend a little more, opt for Dell's new 22" 2209W which comes with a 3 year warranty (much better than Acer's pay-per-call 'service') and higher res (1080p equiv.).

I ordered the B223-bdmr from Target via Amazon but received the cheaper V223 bd. Similar model numbers but not the same item. Acer needs to do a better job of differentiating its models.
Amazon was easy with the return but I wasted about two hours in the process. I did set up the cheaper/non-tilt model and the picture looked fine but re-packing everything and getting to the post office had not been in my plans.
It might be a good idea to call this order in. You might get what you wanted without the return cycle.
I have been working in a computer lab with Acer monitors and thus far, they have performed well. If I were living my life as an on-line gamer, I might spend the extra for the performance edge but for general use, I think that the Acer monitors offer a nice balance of performance and value.

This monitor was a good value and has a decent picture. In fact, the only drawback I really had with it was that one pixel was a bright green, which is really distracting. Otherwise, a good picture and a great value.

I have been waiting for several years to buy a Flat screen Monitor. I checked all the feedbacks. I decided to purchase this one. My neighbor had purchased one about 6 months ago. he recommended this monitor. I have had it for about 2 months and I really enjoy the improvement over my old style 19" monitor. The shipping was very fast and the monitor was easy to set up.

Bought monitor as a gift. Person is pleased and enjoys the 22" dimensions. It is a simple monitor, easy (plug and play) to set up and adjust. No issues what so ever.
This is first time buying an Acer product and thus far pleased as expected. The color picture may not seem ultrarich as higher priced monitors. Nevertheless, picture is crisp. For anyone on a budget, upgrading with this value price monitor it's worth it.

I first purchased 2 of these from a reputable company on eBay and they ended up sending me the wrong monitor. They sent the Acer V223-WBD rather than the B223. The V223 is considerably cheaper and does not have height adjust. Returned those, still waiting for my refund.
Then I purchased 2 of these from Target via the Amazon Marketplace. AGAIN I received 2 V223's instead of the B223. Boy am I mad. At least the return process through Amazon was less of a headache compared to eBay.
But the point remains that there is something really messed up with companies' inventories and these monitors. I did some looking around and a number of other people have had the same experience with other companies (sent the V223 instead of the B223). This is ridiculous.
Anyways, this time I'm ordering an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT monitor from a different manufacturer and from Newegg.com. It will cost more, but Newegg likely won't f*** up.

I found the monitor to be an excellent buy. It was very easy to set up and worked well immediatly. The picture quality is excellent for watching, on line movies. I would, and did, recommend this monitor to a friend. She is, also, going to purchase this item.

It is what it claimed to be. 22 inch monitor. Received, plugged in, booted computer, changed resolution to 1680x1050. Viola! Had it working in about 5 minutes. Tilt can be adjusted somewhat. No adjustment to height, no USB ports or anything like that. Came with digital and analog cables.
Update: If the computer goes into power save mode, or you turn off the monitor....or anything else happens to have the monitor stop receiving a signal, it will not come back on until I reboot the computer. The monitor goes brain dead and refuses to recognize that there is a digital signal coming into it.

I was looking for the right combination between quality and price. I believe I found it ($169.95, total, no shipping; sweet!). Easy hook up, looks great and no problem hooking it up with MY speakers and sub woofer. I found the color intensity to be too light so an easy adjustment and everything is great.

This monitor functions very well as a work type monitor. It’s very inexpensive and works perfectly. I recommend it to anyone who simply needs a large monitor for day to day computing. However I did not give it a perfect rating because this monitor may not be the best fit for those who are interested in media or graphics. While highly functional The display is somewhat muted. So if you need a cheap functional monitor for your office pick this up immediately.

Have owned this for a couple weeks now, good picture, best price on the web with the free shipping, would def suggest this to a friend that was in the market. Only downside is that it takes 3 or 4 secs when coming out of sleep mode to come on, hince the markdown in ease of use, not a big deal tho, considering buying another for my kid's pc even

This monitor diminishes just slightly from my more than double the price Dell. The colors and not quite as crisp and bright but for all of my everyday needs (I actually took it to work to replace my small monitor), I love it. I did recommend it to several people at work and I know at least 3 other people purchased and are very happy!

This is a very nice monitor for the money. It's fairly sharp with decent contrast and was zero problems right out of the box. That's asking much for a monitor under $170 no matter what size it is!

I bought this monitor for my wife to use in its portrait mode. Unlike most other wide screen monitors on the market, this LCD has the ability to pivot 90 degrees changing its landscape aspect ratio to a portrait aspect ratio.
The display looks bright and sharp in both orientations.
The change from one orientation to the other requires a bit of user input, either by hitting a key-combination or by choosing the desired rotation setting from a menu.

This is an exceptionally bright monitor, clear, but not perfect when using a lower resolution than native resolution. (I don't know of any monitors that are perfectly clear when used off native resolution setting.) I would recommend to friends.

I looked at several differnt monitors before decing on the Acer 22" widescreen. I work with a laptop computer and the small screen fatigued my eyes by the end of the day. Since I have been using the widescreen no more fatigue and it is a joy to work with the view this monitor gives me. A definite winner here and I would recommend it to anyone.

Plenty satisfied with this monitor for price and quality. Installation adjustments had to be made but not confusing and has given me great performance. Two days after my purchase price dropped $10 but it is still a great value :-)

This is a great monitor. The color is wonderful. My photos and DVD's look terrific.
The only draw back is you can't raise or lower the monitor level. You can tilt the screen.
I bought this for an amazing price and would highly suggest this monitor to folks who are looking for quailty at a good price.

Used Free Ground delivery got it in one buisness day Ohio to CA. so must be using rocket DHL trucks.
Works out of the box with a few minor setting changes. Have not seen any dead pixcels. This is my second Acer 22" monitor bought 22" AL2216bd 6 months ago and works fine so far. Tilt Stand is pretty cheap on this newer model as on the older model.This model V223W case is actually thicker in depth. Used at work also in past and am pleased with the options.

This is absolutly the best 22'' widescreen for the money. If you are going to get a 22'' you must get a widescreen to really have the full effect of how big and beautiful they are. Acer makes top quality products for great prices. I am typing on this moniter right now and its perfect, bright, clear, deep colors, and crisp! It has DVI as well as VGA, dont make the mistake of buying a DVI cable like I did, it comes with it!! How cool is that; anyways I am waiting for my graphics card in the mail to have DVI out to this moniter, and I cant wait to see how much better it will look, I mean its already perfect!!!

This monitor is fantastic. By the time it arrived, I checked it for any dead pixels. To my very satisfaction, it was found to be perfectly intact. Right now, I have used it for two weeks. It has performed so well so far. I can say its quality is not worse than those of the more expensive ones.

I am extremely happy with these monitors (I bought two and use them side by side). They are very bright, clear, and crisp with the DVI inputs (note that they come with DVI and VGA but not HDMI inputs). I don't do a lot of graphics-intense gaming so I can't comment on how they hold up in those conditions.
I'm sure there are better monitors out there (for a lot more money) but my 20/25 vision can't see any imperfections.

A nice panel for the money, The redesigned bezel and stand on this model looks nice. I have two side by side and they look very good... the only thing better would be a 26", but they are coming down too. For some reason I get very few or zero defects in the LCD's I purchase from PC CONNECTION!! I cannot recall the last time I saw a stuck or dead pixel. Buying local I see tons of defects on ACER's and others, sometimes right in the center.

Very similar to the Samsung equivalent, my roommate has that one. Its a great monitor. Has a slow start up rate, I miss a lot of the boot info, and its a good thing I know the key for my bios or I'd never get in, cause windows is almost loaded before the monitor turns on. Other than that, its all good. If I were to do it again, I'd go 24" though, and get the full 1080 experience. But the 22"ers are getting a lot cheaper in price, thats why I got this one.

I purchased two of these monitors from Amazon. Two much cheaper monitors (model V223B) were shipped from Midway Auto. I contacted shipper; returned monitors and 21 days later have yet to receive a refund. 5 phone calls later to Amazon and I have yet to receive a callback or refund.
