If you have a sony blueray player, you can set it up so when a disc is put in, the tv will automatically switch settings to the BR player and take you to the menu. It's super easy to use and looks great!

This TV is great. It has every feature that I require. Even though it is 60hz when watching blurays you get a more subtle smoothing effect, which I prefer to the 120hz effect, when cinemotion is engaged. The sound is not important because I have an htib system. But strangely enough the tie breaker between this tv and the Samsung LN46B550 was the S-Video input. I needed one for my media center and its amazing how many of the newer tvs neglect that input. So the bottom line is if you are looking for a tv that has a great picture and a great feature set this is the way to go. 63 reviews with an average of 4.8 speaks for itself.

picture quality is very good. there's a ton of adjustment for those who have the time and the inclination to do so. this tv is also a good example of sony engineering - easy to use, enough functionality. can't comment about the stand as it is wall mounted. sound could be better. this tv is in a bright room where reflections can't be avoided. the matte screen finish helps alleviate that. bb did a price match on this tv (was selling cheaper at another retailer) and that sealed the deal. an aside: bravia link works with a panasonic blu ray player connected via HDMI.

Bought this unit after reviewing my first larger HD TV purchase. Price on it hovered between $1200 on other retailers to $1500 over the past few months. Finally purchased this at $1099 last week when it was on sale (didn't want that PS3 that they were packaging with it, buy a blue ray player by itself). Plus the 3 years free financing was a great deal too. This is one TV that gets great reviews everywhere and I can now see why. Quality picture, sound is much better than my 22" Samsung LCD HD. Set up was a breeze, I would recommend getting a home theater system with it though, just to make it that much better.

I looked around for a few weeks at different brands and different stores. I went back and forth between 120Hz or 60Hz, 40in or 46in, and all the different brands. I just couldn't see the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz for just watching TV and DVD's. When I found this Sony for $899 Bestbuy price matched it and I was sold. Overall I am happy with my Sony. Excellent picture with HDTV. I would not go back now to conventional 480dpi TV. The 1080 in clear and the Sony name gives me confidence along with the Bestbuy store behind it. I could have found a 120Hz, with a lesser name, at Walmart, Target, Frys, Costco, and/or Sams but I would just have a lesser name at a store that I wouldn't have confidence in if a problem arises.

I struggled for weeks trying to decide what to buy for my bedroom. I was pretty much sold on the Samsung LN40N550 but a friend urged me to look more closely at the Sony. I've owned several Sony's over the years and have always been very happy but I was concerned that this Sony had a much lower Contrast Ratio than the Samsungs. Fortunately, that has turned out to be a non-issue. This Sony rocks! HD Cable is gorgeous and Blu-Ray is incredible. Standard Def cable is not great but better than many other sets I've seen. (Why do HDTVs generally suck with SD signals?). I've read some complaints about the remote control but I find it extremely well designed and easy to use.

Samsung's are great - my friend bought a 120Hz model that rocks - but I love my Sony.

Ecstatic with the TV. Image is crystal clear, received Sony Blu Ray Disc player for only $100 which was another Bonus. Sound at times goes up and down, but does not happen to often. GREAT BUY!!!

My previous TV (32" JVC tube) was a wedding gift from way back in 2000. Obviously, I do not get these that often, so I wanted to make sure I did my research. I read every one of the reviews on the net, from here and elsewhere, and I'll tell you - this TV is awesome! I could go on and on here, but if you are like me, you will read all the reviews anyway, so I want to touch on some of things I noticed that maybe had not been mentioned elsewhere.

These TVs are designed to work well with HD. That's what they are supposed to do. Where this TV excelsdiffers from others is that it gives a great standard def picture as well. My daughter loves to watch her cartoons, and most are on channels that do not have HD, at least with IO. But I will tell you, the picture is fantastic.

Blu Ray movies look fantastic, but again, they should. I only have a handful of Blu Ray movies, so most of my library are standard DVDs. Now I am sure using my PS3 as my Blu Ray player helps, but standard DVDs

I am not a techie but I am very impressed with this TV. I haven't really played with all the features yet but so far it has been very easy to navigate the menus and change the settings. I don't watch a lot of TV but I watched some blu-ray movies on my PS3 with it, and it looks amazing. I mostly play games on it and the wide screen plus HD has made playing much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this TV.

This is my second HDTV. My first was a Proscan 26LB30QD, for my bedroom. The Proscan has the worst backlight bleed I've ever seen, a horrible vertical viewing angle and no remote, because I got the display. PQ and SQ are fine, especially for such a small space, but needless to say, I had not fully experienced HD until our Sony.

This model caught my eye early on with its price and features. In the store, its vivid colors and deep blacks also caught my eye, coincidentally. I researched/begged my parents for months, and came full circle to this set, when BestBuy had it on sale a couple of weeks ago for $1199. Of course with tax and warranty fees, it was well above $1500, but I'm ecstatic with this TV.

I'm an avid reader of CNET.com and the best online window shopper you've ever known. I'm also college-aged. Techy things fascinate me, and I consider myself fairly knowledge about current electronics. After research on LCD vs. Plasma, 60Hz vs. 120 Hz, Sony vs. Samsung and all

I had bought the budget minded Dynex 42 inch (which I love) for the other room about six months ago and now it was time for a bigger model. I had only paid $699 for the Dynex so I thought let me go a big higher end and I couldn't think of anything better than a Sony Bravia.

The TV has it all -- sound is incredible; lots of features; tons of features and adjustments available and this set even has the TV Guide on screen listings which are a + and a - all in one (read below).

Now for some nitpicking, that's what it's here for right?

The little ENERGY STAR sticker on the right side near the screen is on crooked. I'll have to see if it peels off cause it's one thing to be there but it's not even straight and looks tacky. All of the pictures of this model I've seen don't have it on their so I'm thinking it should come off.

I've done some research and found the annoying clicking (every now and again) sound coming from the TV when powered off is evidently the

I bought this tv because a few people I know have sony's and liked them a lot. It has a great hd picture with lots of hdmi ports on it. I did a lot of research before buying this tv. It was between LG, Samsung or Sony and I went with the Sony. Very easy to set up and use. So far no problems with it at all. I got it for only $1,200 which was $300 off the original price. I didn't have to mess with the settings much to get the picture the way I wanted it.

After my 50" Toshiba DLP died on me just a couple of years after purchase, I decided to do some in depth reviewing before my next purchase.

This Sony 46" is the best quality for this price you will find anywhere. It has such a smooth HD picture and really accentuates blu ray movies too. I also play regular DVDs on my PS3 thru this TV and it certainly does a great up conversion.

The sound quality is also very good, not at all tinny and is very listenable without being thru a theater system. However, a tiny drawback is if you're going thru the theater system, you have to change a program in the TV menu which fixes the volume on the TV so night time might be an issue but you can always go back and change it thru the TV menu.

When switching between outputs, it does take a few seconds to switch but it is only a few seconds so not a real major flaw.

If watching during the day, you may find a very slight glare with the dark colors. My TV can only sit almost opposite

Maybe I just got a lemon, I don't know. I had this set for about three days. Everything was great at first, good quality picture and great sound. On the fourth day the picture started to get grey and muddy. I had a five year old LCD television right next to it for comparison. sure enough the picture was fine on the old set. I've always thought of Sony as top of the line in quality.
Like I said, maybe I just got a lemon. It is interesting to note that only one Best Buy had this model in stock in my area and none of them had this model on working display. Maybe I'll go for a refund or an exchange I'm not sure yet.

Like many others in these reviews, I was suffering from "analysis paralysis" by the time I finally decided on my purchase. Family members actually threatened to go buy a "TV" using my money if I didn't make a decision and just go get one myself. After nine plus months I ended up buying the Sony 46V4100 for several reasons.

First, my local Best Buy matched the best price I could find on the internet, so I got this for a VERY good price. I always wanted the Sony, but was afraid I'd overspend due to the name and reputation. I ended up getting this model for Vizio-type-pricing, plus they delivered and did the initial set-up at no charge.

Second, when comparing this model to similar Samsung models, I found the non-glare screen on the Sony to be a major improvement. The colors are vivid and the picture quality is amazing. Control seetings are easy to find and use. It was always the screen that drew my attention when comparing side-by-side in the store. The available features

I have had this HD tv for about 8 months now and I have to say it has been one of the best tv's I have ever owned. I read the last 2 reviews on here and where one says that the picture is blue? I have no clue what that person is talking about but the picture quality on my tv is excellent and crystal clear and the the colors are beyond description. Maybe they have it set up wrong? Anyway this tv from Sony is incredible and when paired with blu ray it blows you away. No its not the much hyped or over hyped I should say 120hz but if you ask me 120hz makes the picture look fake and is NOT what the director of the movie you watch intended. The only drawback? The sound is not as good as it could be from the speakers. But any HD tv should be hooked up to a surround sound system anyway so I guess its not that big of a deal. In closing you cant go wrong with this excellent tv from Sony and for the price BB is asking its a steal. Like I said this is the best tv I have ever owned and the centerpeice

Anytime there is a dark background, regardless of settings, the TV will take about 2 seconds and dim the backlight to conserve energy. This "Feature" is extremely annoying and is causing me to return the TV for an exchange. I contacted Sony about this issue. They were professional and attempted to be helpful, however they did not solve the issue and told me there were no firmware updates or anything in the works to solve this issue currently.

called sony and took a trip around the world with out getting on a plane.
Spoke to half dozen people in other countries and could only understand ONE. Sony knows they have a problem with their TV's. So if you are smart go on line and read the reviews on problems that others are experiencing on your model. I now have a $3200.00 tv that needs to be fixed for $1000.00 + dollars. Even though Sony knows it's their problem they want nothing to do with it. They want to give me a $100.00 off on a new tv. I told them where to put the $100.00 and informed them I will never buy a SONY product again. Just beware.

Ive researched LCD TV's for awhile now, and I went back and forth between the Sony Bravia or the Samsung model. After purchasing the 46" Sony Bravia I couldn't be happier. This Tv was So easy to set up. IF you have an HDMI hook up. It literally took 5 Minutes to take TV out of Box and start watching immediately. I have Direct TV HD and the picture is incredible. Then when I thought the picture couldn't get any better I put on a Blu-Ray movie and I was in awe. So besides the great quality picture the real selling point for me was the Sound quality. It is better than any LCD I've ever seen. Its like having surround sound with Bose speakers. So I would grab this TV while you can at the current sales price. You wont regret it I promise you.

i got it yesterday and it is very good. i am very satisfied with this tv. what i love about this tv is that the sound is awesome. my brother has bose speakers and let me tell you this tv has a sound that is almost as good as the bose. when you first get the tv as i did. dont get the calibration from geek squad. just buy a calibration dvd. you can also learn how to calibrate it with the internet. the tvs picture quality is very great. i have watched 2 blue ray movies on it and its fantastic. the size does sacrifise the picture quality but its still wonderfull. the sound is also very good. you just might want to turn up the bass. there are alot of the controlls that have to be changed. but overall the best tv you can buy. the only thing tho is that you might want to get a smaller model if youre sitting close. trust me it looks much smaller in bestbuy.

Ok here's the scoop. I bought this TV last week after doing many hours of research. Samsung, Samsung, Samsung is all you read. The Samsung 550 was actually 100 more and the price at best buy was the exact same as I could get it on line. So why take a day off and wait around for delivery, makes no sense. The selling point for me was not HDTV almost all TV's will put out a beautiful picture in this mode, but standard TV is a world of difference between the Sony and Samsung, Sony wins hands down. The built in speakers are much better than the Samsung also. One more point the Samsung picture seems over colored and less realistic than the Sony. They didn't get my money by making all the pretty colors brighter, I want a TV with real colors and that's what I have. Sony/Samsung you choose. Also the viewing angles are perfect no distortion whatsoever and the 60htz 120htz seems to be just some extra hoopla to get more of those precious dollars out of your hands, don't buy into it you will see little

I purchased the product a few days ago and could not have been happier with my decison, its often said that flat pannel TV's dont have good sound quality, with this TV i strongly disagree, I have not yet hooked my sorround sound up to it yet and am in no rush to eaither, I simply couldnt believe the quality that i was hearing. The picture quality is also great, its not 120hz but in my opinion the 60hz does a great job the HD looks amazing and so do the other non HD channels, I have not yet watched a blue ray movie on it yet but cant wait. I also have my playstation 3 hooked up to it and the games look amazing...

The only thing about the TV that i dont like is that if you are not getting the TV wall mounted and are planning to use the stand that it comes with, the plastic that the holds the TV to the stand seams very cheap and flimbsy and makes me concerened that it may brake, but i guess thats why you get the extra warranty.

I would highly recomend buying this TV if you

Biggest thing is make sure you get the extended warranty when you buy this price TV. YOU ASK WHY? I chose not to buy the extended warranty and the TV was 6 months old and i noticed a line starting to form down the left side of the screen. I called SONY and asked why if I spent this kind of money on a TV did it have a line running down the side of it. They gave me some numbers to call and have the TV repaired under the manufact warranty. I got it to the repair shop and the repairman told me it was a freak thing that happened and the screen started to delaminate(it came apart). about 3 weeks later and a few missed college football games missed they called and said it was ready. I asked if it was going to cost anything he told me no but that it would have cost me over $1500.00 if it wasn't covered under the manfact warranty. Still debating on buying that extended warranty? DON'T

I spent so much time (literally weeks on end) looking at product reviews online that I feel obligated to give back and write a review. Spending this much money on anything is a huge risk for me so I over-researched prior to making my choice.

I am not a high income guy, so price was a huge consideration for me. My criteria for a new TV was as follows:

1. Had to be $1400.00 or under
2. Had to look perfect with my PlayStation 3 (I mean PERFECT)
3. Response time (both controller-to-screen time as well as panel response time) was very important, as I play a lot of high-speed games, like Wipeout HD, and I mainly use the TV for gaming.
4. Quality/reliability is very important. Who wants to spend $1400.00 on something that falls apart?
5. Had to look good with SD content (I have a huge library of DVD movies and refuse to blow thousands on re-buying the same movies on Blu-Ray)
6. I wanted to get the most useful features for the money I had to spend.
7. I don't own a truck, so getting it to

We just purchased this to replace our old Sony TV. Our biggest concern prior to buying was that Consumer Reports gave all of the Sony LCDs a low rating on viewing angle, but I can sit in our kitchen about 20 feet away at a 45 or 60 degree angle and still see the screen fine. We have ours hooked up to the Sony Blu-Ray HTS, so I can't comment on the TV's sound system, but the video is excellent and it works perfectly with the home theater system.

I have had this tv for a month now, and I am amazed at how easy it is to hook this up to other Sony products! The theater sync on this model compared to the S-Series is what sets this TV apart from the rest. With just one touch of a button, you have access to your Blu Ray player and home theater system! It is so easy, all you have to do is have them connected to the TV. If you can find this onsale, I would buy it in a heartbeat over the other model. The picture is amazing, everything in HD is crystal clear. But then again, all TV's in HD depict a much better picture than anything you've had before. I have had no problems with this set overheating, and it looks great on top of my TV stand. I also appreciate that the TV intuitively switched to DVD when you put one in, and back to my Wii afterward. There are a lot of customizable options on this TV too, and the sound is great, with simulated surround sound that works really well in my apartment. I would definitely get a home theater system

If your looking for a high quality flat panel HDTV, then this one is for you. When you watch TV on this, you will notice all the details from the shear rocks on a cliff to a vivid colorful amazon jungle. If you ever watch a movie or even just a show, you'll notice how energizing the sound quality is, it fills the room with the best sounds. This TV comes with a free TV Guide option if you already don't have it, I use this everyday so i don't have to channel surf. The only bad remark I would have to say about this Sony is the remote. The setup is a little bit awkward but it's really nothing to get work up about, it's just my opinion. All in all, this TV looks amazingly sleek and super sharp. The Sony BRAVIA 46" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV performs like no other, it's the best of the best.

"We bought this TV last month and have enjoyed it. The color on it is out standing. And the HD is terrific. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone. They surely won't be disappointed with the picture and quality of the TV. We've owned Sony TV's before and that's the only one we will ever buy. The color in the pictures are true colors and is lifelike. The 46" inch is just the right size to view from anywhere in our living room. The football games are great on it to watch. You feel like your right their at the game. The features on it are easy to use. We are very satisfied with our TV and would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality TV you won't be disappointed. The people I bring over to watch games or movies all leave wanting to buy this TV no joke!! "Outstanding and great value."

I have always tried to stay with Sony electronics. They have a great product no matter what type of item that I am buying. The quality picture that this TV has is beyond compare. I am sure that anyone that purchases this television will not be dissapointed.

Sony BRAVIA V Series KDL-46V4100 46 LCD TV - 46 - 16:9 - 1920 x 1080 - HDTV

I recently bought this tv and couldn't be happier.. To experience the most of what this tv has to offer, you MUST have HD. The picture quality is amazing. The colors and detail in HD are first rate. I don't see much of a difference between this 60hz and the 120hz, So save your money. I watch alot of football and the picture on this tv compared to the 120hz is the same.
The sound far exceded my expectations for a tv this slim.. Haven't watched a blu ray yet, but if it is anything like watching HD tv, it will be awesome!!

I've had this tv for about 3 months and I've been very satisfied with it so far. It offers a great HD picture, but the standard definition picture tends to look grainy. This is pretty normal, though, with all LCD televisions. The V series only offers the 60hz refresh, but I don't really notice a major difference when compared to the 120hz. My in-laws have the 120hz and it doesn't look any different to me. This is really the biggest difference (other than price) between the V and W series Bravias. I would definitely recommend this tv. However, keep in mind (for your budget) that you'll likely have to buy a new tv stand that can house this big a tv. They're not cheap.

I've had this model for about a year and it is amazing. The picture is exceptionally clear, the styling is great, and the overall quality is what you would expect from Sony. I liked this one so much, I bought a 32" for my bedroom a month or so ago. I can't comment on the sound, since I have it as part of a home theater system with external speakers.

Yes, it is a bit more expensive than some other brands, but I have never been disappointed by a Sony!

We did extensive research, including viewing many LCD TVs in showrooms. There were some LCDs that looked marginally nicer, but only for a LOT more money. We have had our Bravia for a year, and it has worked flawlessly. It has a lot of inputs, and works well with third-party remotes like the Harmony.

I totally, completely, unreservedly recommend this product.

It was time to upgrade to a bigger TV. I currently have a Toshiba 32" flat panel which I also bought at Best Buy. This time I went for a Sony. While I love Toshiba products, I am very happy I went with this TV. The picture quality is amazing - although I just upgraded to HDTV too. The sound is awesome and the sleek look of the set is amazing. I'm extremely pleased and would highly recommend this TV to anyone on the fence about going for it.

This is the 4th large LCD TV I've ordered from amazon this year. This one was for my Aunt and she is totally thrilled with the set. The only think lacking is the 120hz. I have it on my 52 xbr4 but I also have a 46" Sony much like this one in 1080P and it's fine. The xbr4 is far above most in my un-expert opinion but I also love the 46" without the 120hz. You really need to look at both sets to determine if you'll appreciate the difference. If you're set on a 120hz set; the Z set Sony has out now is a great deal. Keep in mind, Sony has almost no glare from any light source; a huge selling point in my opinion.

I purchased this tv after looking at it in the store compared to others. It looked ok with the settings in the store, but after getting home I easily made the proper picture adjustments, and I was simply amazed I would purchase this tv all over again and recommend it to friends. I have had this tv for about a month now, and enjoy it everyday. blu-ray movies are amazing and ps3 games stunning on this tv

The picture quality is amazing. This set used along with Sony's Blue ray disc player will make you want to never go to a movie theatre again. The picture is photograph quality. To really appreciate it I would suggest that
you have to see movies like Transformers, Iron Man, and animated flicks like Disneys Ratatoullie,,,,excellent!

This is an awesome TV, and right now a great price. I paid alot more for mine. If you are in the market for a new tv this is your best bet, not too big and not too small is perfect. I would also recomend a blu ray player and a home teather system if you are a movie buff like myself. The picture quality is better than going to the movies.

I went to the store looking for a new TV to replace our current one. Found this one on sale for the same price as the 42in Sonys. I have always found Sony's televisions high quality and have never been disappointed with them. So I went with it and am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase. Bought the Sony blue-ray disc player and a wall mounting kit and haven't had a bit of problems with any of it. Works really well as a computer monitor also.

We love this TV. We debated about spending more $$$ to get a 120Hz version, but decided we couldnt really tell much difference. We watch action movies on cable and DVD and dont really notice any motion blur. However, admittedly we do not watch much sports which would probably be the worst case for motion blur. I am normally very critical of any display artifacts, but we dont see any hint of them with this TV.
All in All a great purchase

I think that this is the best type of quility Television that you can get if i were you i would buy ill tell you i have one now. I think it's the best offer that you could ever get. I had one that was from wallmart and i had to take it back within two days because i couldn't figure out how to set it up and the manual was in a different language. When i went to BestBuy they even talked to me about and told me the benifits of all of the different T.V. that were in stock. They even showed me how to hook it up. So if i were you i would choose BestBuy.

Great TV. Make sure you have HDMI hookup through your digital cable box & also for your upscaling DVD player if you have one. HUGE difference between HDMI hookup vs. component and/or composite. Menus are easy to get around. Not 100% sure on internal speakers, as I have mine going through Sony receiver. Frame looks great as well, but look out for fingerprints (just don't touch it silly!) Can't wait for Blu-Ray prices to go down so I can truly see the super clarity.
If you buy, watch online & in store prices for the 30 days afterwards. I got an awesome deal, just w/ their price match policy.
I love Sony, get this HDTV!

We love this Tv. It is a perfect size for us. We have it mounted on the wall. The picture is really great. Sound its fine, however, we do have it hooked up to a surround sound system. You could do it without, we just like the experience. Also had a great sales person who had a lot of knowledge on the TV. We would buy another Sony.

This TV is absolutely a dream to watch. No blurs. Watching golf or sporting events rocks!

I was not a big TV fan, but now I love watching all the details this TV presents.

One thing I really enjoy: Watching DVDs.

This TV autosenses when you are watching regular (non-blue-ray) DVDs and somehow enhances the picture.

My understanding is that it delivers the movie in true 24 frames per second.

I can hostly say I was blown away watching DVDs. For example, I watched "I am Legend" and it looked so realistic, it was shocking.

Can't wait to see how Blue-Ray will look.

There are clearly many features I am yet to explore, like the ability to store pictures in the TV.

Really awesome investment. Also very light and easy to move

great tv. great picture.black cabinet frame whatever is very nice looking. just watch for fingerprints :) i love the tv its awesome. make sure you get the size you want. i orignally thought a 40" or a 42" would do. not the case very glad i went with the 46" didnt want to spend the extra money for the 120hz version due to the huge price jump. i have no complaints except on sportcenter when it scrolls things right to left it will do the "judder" every now and again. oringally had component hooked up now got a monster cable hdmi cable(pricey but worth it always...i have almost everythings with mc) it doesnt do it as much but still does sometimes. never had problems other than that. and def not worth the almost 1000 dollar difference!

if your thinking about it do it! it was between the sony or a samsung and im glad i went with the sony. the protective screen on the samsungs are way to reflective. i dont want to watch my reflection on tv!! GET THE SONY!!!! also have an upscale sony

I have been a loyal Sony fan for many years, but Sony’s quality is slipping. I have had two major Sony products fail this year. Customer service is unresponsive and is not willing to correct products that Sony admits were defective at the time of manufacture. They just want to talk about their policies and disclaimers…not at all interested in keeping their customers.

I cannot recommend anyone purchase a Sony product.

This TV looks great! Even without HD hooked up the picture quality is awsome! Obviously the HD channles look amazing! Has plenty of hook-ups for anything you need to hook up to this TV! My Playstation 3 looks amazing on this TV! The built in speakers sound great, but i have the Sony Bravia SS2300 home theater system hooked up to it and that makes all the differance! The Bravia Sync function works great with the TV and Home theater system! My friend bought the 52" 120Hz version, honestly neither of us could tell any difference in the refresh rate during video games, sports games, or action movies. Overall great TV!

Less than 3 months after purchasing this TV it broke. It wants to power cycle every 15-20 seconds. Sony customer service can not provide an authorized repair center in my market area that is open past 5PM CST Mon-Fri. Sony wants me to take a vacation day to fix their defective product. I did not purchase their TV Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM CST, why should I have to have it fixed during those hours? Customer service has no more options for me except to write a letter to the review committee. I had to write a letter and I'm still waiting on a reply. Sony does not empower it's customer service employees the power to satisfy a customer who has a broken TV. I have never received this poor level of customer service on a product that was $1800. Unless you have an unlimited amount of vacation to have them repair your TV when it breaks stay away from this product!

I bought a Westinghouse that I loved but it developed problems after a few months and Best Buy allowed me to exchange it. I switched it for an LG and thought I was happy but three days later realized it was terrible in every way.

I exchanged it for the Sony that I should have bought originally.

The color on this surpasses the other two and is extremely clear, crisp, and accurate. Blacks are very black. No fading or problems with anything.

The picture clarity is nothing short of awesome. My son pointed out in the store that on the LG you can see a man is wearing a blue shirt. On the Sony, you can see the weave of the fabric. It really is clear.

The sound is crisp and clear and very lifelike so the gee whiz features aren't necessary. My husband likes to use the home theater for the sound but that's a guy thing.

Westinghouse has them all beat with the location for the plug-ins but Sony is OK. Would make installation and adjustments easier is the

I'll just state why I picked this TV over a similarly featured Samsung with a lower price.

1. Sony reliability. Sony TVs usually score high for reliability. I also know somebody who installs home theaters and he stated he has never had any complaints about Sony LCDs, Plasmas, TVs, etc. I'd rather spend more for a TV that doesn't break than deal with hassles of getting it repaired under an extended warranty (which I did buy).

2. The audio on this TV is good. A lot of LCDs out there have horrid speakers on them - no bass, hard to understand voices, etc. I don't have a separate speaker system so good speakers were required. More importantly, even if I did have a receiver+speakers, do I want to turn them on to watch the news, Oprah, and reruns of Magnum P.I.? Do you want the speaker system on when your kids are watching cartoons at 8AM on Saturday?

3. The picture quality. I think Samsung LCDs have deeper blacks and richer colors. At the same time, I've always thought the picture

I got this tv about a week ago and I love it! I like the fact that bravia is a simple connection as long as everythying else is bravia setup with it (which it is!). The picture is far better than I expected. I had the model before and was not very impressed with the picture. I have this setup on the wall, which was quite easy to do, the weight was not that bad, easy enough for one person to do, although not recommended! I also picked up the logitech harmony 890 remote, and that thing is phenonenal! The only downfall of this tv is it doesnt have the 120mhz for picture refresh. I wish I had held out a few days later because i saw a 52 inch sony for almost the same price!!! Oh and I wish that the v model would light up the sony emblem! Oh well! Still amazing and glad I purchased it!

It's an excellent TV overall... the only negative I see is that if your TV has more than one volume control, you better not turn all the way up on the TV's volume and almost nothing with the other... you will hear some hissing sound from the TV.

I have been using my 46" Sony Bravia LCD TV for over a week and can find nothing wrong with it. The HD channels jump off the screen. Even the standard channels are easy to watch and the TV adjusts for the picture size without any input from the user.
The room I use the TV in is very bright and the Sony is very clear in all lighting situations.
The remote is also very easy to use. I would recomend this TV to everyone.

I got that from a best buy store in florida(gainesville). The customer service allways was great. Sony no mather you like them or not came with valuable goods, little late sometimes. samsung has some great tv I choose sony because it has more features like the on scren guide the pip and p&p does not mather if it hi-def or standard. a lot of tools to play with the picture. On thing I am very happy with: when you make a change in the picture using those tools I feel it isntant. the menu is easy to use. bunch of input. the tv software can be update easy.

sony tv is becoming cheaper because of samsung and lg. thanks to both but ilove sony for many more reason. you can your whole system with one brand

For the price, you can't beat the 25,000:1 contrast ratio. In other words, crisp, clear and all out beautiful picture. Once in a while the picture may be "grainy" but that's your cable provider, not the T.V.. Easy to hook-up and the "S-Force Surround Sound" is really nice if you don't want to use a outside reciever / "theatre-in-a-box". Only problem...needs to be the 70".
