I spent a couple weeks researching various sets. This one kept popping up as the one that best fulfilled my requirements. Clear, crisp color. Easy to use and the setup was nearly effortless. I have several friends who had the same set and was convinced this was the one for me.

We LOVE this TV! And working with PC Connection was super easy. They beat competitors prices by several HUNDRED dollars and the process was awesome. The TV arrived on time and in perfect condition, was easy to set up. A GREAT experience!

After looking for almost 2 months I finally stumbled across PC Connection. It wasn't the cheapest, but after reading all the horror stories about other mail order companies I was really very pleased at the professionalism of PC Connection and their shipper. Everything was exactly right: the item was in deed in stock, the shipping was free, the item was delivered when promised, the shipping company contacted me directly and met me at home at the appointed time. The TV was delivered as promised, in good condition and new. The charge to my credit card was correct, all in all the opposite experience from what I feared might happen. I would recommend PC Connection to any one wanting a bigish TV like this. (My truck was on the fritz and I was otherwise going to have to figure out a way to get it home from the store.)

Setup was easy as pie. The screen is crystal clear and the 120hz refresh rate really pays off when watching fast moving video. Great television I would recommend to anyone looking for a television of this size.

Just received this TV - waited 4-5 hrs untill TV was at room temperature - turned it on.. and .. was blown away with the quality of picture, realistic, vivid colors and sound. The sound is amazing! Home theather not needed unless your living room is 1000sq ft or more! Still learning all other features..
For a week could not decide between Samsung 120Hz and Sony, but after I got a deal I picked up Sony for $1499. Honestly, I think the whole deal with 120Hz is a little overrated, I mean, 120hz helps with smooth picture and judder but doesn't completely eliminates it. Can't wait when 240Hz will be more affordable. Suggest not spending more then $1500 on TV 46in and more just because it's 120Hz..
Anyway I really like this TV and not bringing it back. It's a keeper!!!!

This was my first HDTV purchase. After becoming almost a permanent fixture at BestBuy over a 2 wk period, looking and asking questions, I made 2 wise choices. I decided that LCD was the right way to go (I have lots of glare from multiple windows, plasma would have resulted in too much glare, esp. daytime) and that the Sony KDL46W4100 proved to display the best overall picture of all the sets that I considered. This tv has the most natural color and precise detail I could ever want. It is like raising the window and looking outside. (I see no need for calibration at this point.) I have it paired up with the Sony BDPS3550 Blu-Ray player. Through the Bravia Sync technology, I can press "play" on the Blu-Ray remote which cuts the tv on, switches to the correct HDMI input, cuts the player on, and starts playback of the DVD. How sweet is that!! Not sure why I even considered a brand other than Sony.

IT was a toss up between Samsung and this one.. I'm glad I stuck to my guns with SONY... the picture is fantastic.. I upgraded from the last HD 1080i WEGA line, you can definitely tell the difference in picture and how far the technology has come in just a few years..If your looking for a 46" and can afford it. GET IT!!!

There are many excellent characteristics that this LCD TV has. First, if you check the reviews of other LCDs then you would notice how some state that when you power on the TV you have to wait about 30seconds till you see anything, almost making you think that you didn't press the green power button hard enough. Well, let me tell you something, this TV gives you the picture in under 10seconds. Right out of the box, the picture settings are excellent with an easy to follow setup process.
For those of you that always like to keep your equipment up-to-date, there is a convenient USB port in the back that lets you plug in a USB drive and load an update that Sony puts out.
Lets talk about Bravia Sync - I personally think that it is Awesome. I have also purchased Sony BDP-S350 BluRay player and connected it to the TV with HDMI cable. When both TV and BlueRay player are turned off...all you have to do is press "Play" button on your DVD or TV remote control and the following things

Love the plasmas, but decided to buy the Bravia KDL-46W4100 for: low energy consumtion, 120 hz, weight, low heat output, Sony reliability and low $ (<1500 @ Fry's).
Go to "general setup" and TURN OFF THE LIGHT SENSOR! Somehow, this makes the set dull. Also power save mode on off or low, NOT on high. The potential of this TV is hidden. It's too bad, SONY should know better. 4 stars... only because it's not an XBR. Good overall set, excellent value.

Looked around for years and settled on this TV because of previous experience with Sony and the features of this product. Found a good deal and pulled the trigger. I've had it for a few months and I could not be happier. Exceeds all of my expectations . Setup is a no brainer especially when the delivery man knows the product so well. I highly recommend this TV.

"The Best picture for a tv in its class, the tv is outstanding."
I had been looking for an HDTV for sometime. But there is so many to choose from. I decided not to buy anything and just sit tight for another 3 months. Then, on Dec 29th. This Sony LCD HDTV was on sale for 1599.99. So i jumped on this irresistable offer (for the Sony 46" W4100) from Best Buy but they were out of stock and the sale ended on sunday so i special ordered the Tv and they would receive it by Jan 2 so I purchased it right there and then.Everything was hassle-free. The package arrived on the 2nd. in perfect condition. Opened the package and with some physical help from freinds, We set it up in about 60 minutes, ready for use. Once out of the box this unit was easy to set up and as soon as I powered it up I was blown away. The Picture and sound is amazing and that was only with my digital cable box 1080i. I had alredy received an Sony PS 3 160gb. for X-mas. So as soon as i got the chance i put on a BlueRay Movie,

I had an older LCD projection Sony model that developed a problem in the optics block and wasn't cost effective to repair so I got offered a sweet deal to upgrade to the KDL-46W4100. This unit is far superior in everthing as far as picture quality is concerned. I have HD cable that looked pretty good on my old TV but this new one adds a new level of depth to the images and the movements are more smooth flowing and almost 3D like. It's an excellent performing unit that I would highly recommend so far. Mines is wall mounted and looks amazing. I've read complaints of poor audio but its not that bad plus I have a surround sound system so that helps too. I plan to get the Sony BDP-S550 Blu-Ray player which I've read is also pretty good and also I'm curious about the Bravia sync feature.

I had been looking for a LCD HDTV for quite sometime. In fact this was going to be our first HDTV. I was never able to convince my wife to spend extra money in this economy. We decided not to buy anything at all and just sit tight for another 6-12 months. Then,we had a pleasant surprise and found out on Thanksgiving day that we were soon going to be parents. This was just the momentum that I needed to look for that LCD HDTV to give as a gift to my wife. She relented, and soon after,I jumped on this irresistable offer (for the Sony 46" W4100) from Best Buy that lasted just for a day on Cyber Monday and purchased it online along with free shipping.Everything was hassle-free.The package arrived in perfect condition exactly at the time that I wanted it delivered. Opened the package myself and with some physical help from freinds,I set it up in about 60-90 minutes, ready for use. I did buy a Sony Bluray player in the next few days, and everything is now well set. We are all able to enjoy our new purchases.

I've been shopping flat / Big screen tvs' for over 3 years and finally took the plunge. Out of the box this unit was easy to set up and as soon as I powered it up I was blown away. Picture and sound is amazing and I still have to pick up my digital cable box 2 morrow.I live on the X BOX 360 and had no problem getting set up and the game play is unbelievable . wish I did this years ago. I've always been a Sony fan and this unit doesn't disappoint. As 4 Best Buy, I purchased online at 7 in the morning and by10:40 I picked my baby up.In and out, Sweet.

Great picture on this Bravia TV, colors are very natural and pop. Black and white levels are very good as well. I never liked the cartoonish colors and gloss on the Samsungs (although I have not seen this years models). In recent years, Ive bought and helped others buy a few Samsung LCDs ranging from 20" to 40" and none of them looks as good as the W4100. The built in speakers are also much better than the Samsungs, very usable for dialog and movies with less action scenes. Something to consider if you do not have an audio setup. I also compared this to a 42" LG70 bought a month before the Sony and again, the Sony had the slightly better, more natural picture. Of course the XBR is better but you pay a high premium for it. Unless you are a videophile or have a nice chunk of change in your pocket I think the W series is more realistic and a good compromise.

The overall picture of this tv is outstanding. One problem I was having was white specks would show up on HD programming and xbox 360. Went to Sony's website and downloaded a software update which corrected the issue. The only complaint I have is it is a liitle tricky to figure out the best settings for each type of picture. Ex: standard definition programming if you leave the cinemotion on it will have a judder and the speaking looks very weird. Once I figured out the best settings, I am very pleased. Was comparing to Samsung 120hz 1080p but was not fond of the red at all. Picture quality was similar between the two (I believe it was the 650 series). Also got the tv at a killer price ($1299), although not from bb, but I usually purchase from bb.

So far, I have to say I am extremely happy with the picture quality of the W series. I thought the Sony LCD TVs looked the best in the store and I have always been partial to Sony, so after 2 yrs of waiting and shopping around, I finally pulled the trigger on the KDL-W4100 and it was delivered last week.
First--my experience with the "white glove" delivery service. Two guys literally ran in my front door--they already had the box partially unpacked. They pulled out the TV, set it on the stand (and then handed me the screws to actually attach it), plugged in the cable, turned it on, handed me a checklist, and ran out the door. They were not in the house more than 5 min. Technically, they did everything on that Amazon describes--but either they were in a big hurry or they get paid by the number of deliveries. Given that unpacking and setting up a TV is not a big deal and I could have easily done it myself, I just laughed at the Keystone Kops performance going on in my living room (and they

Like most customers i had been doing research on various 46 inch LCD TVs for a couple of months. For various reasons it eventually came down to Sony W Series vs Samsung 650 Series. I went to Best Buy showroom and saw them both side by side. Right till the time i made my purchase Samsung had a slight edge in my mind. I went for Sony when i saw this great deal at Circuit City($1299+Tax). With 8% AAA Members Discount to top it, this was a Steal! I locked in the price. I have the TV for a week now and "no regrets".
My advice-- Go for the best price! They are both good TVs. Infact if you are over 30yrs like me then your eyesight might become the limiting factor...:). Four things to look out for in LCD TV- 120Hz,1080p,at least 20,000:1 contrast ratio and atleast two HDMI inputs(3 or more if you are into Gaming).

The picture on this TV is awesome!, it has a lot of signal inputs. The TV guide is a really cool feature along with the auto sizing of the picture. It seems sony really did a lot of research as to what the customers would use the most and then built easier access to those areas.

This HDTV is truly awe-inspiring. From the moment we took it out of the box, I loved it. It is super easy to connect. When you turn it on the first time, it gives you on-screen step by step instructions. After 6 simple steps, you're ready to start enjoying sports and other fast-moving action sequences like you've never seen before with the 120hz refresh rate. The on-screen TV Guide is very convenient when you don't know what to watch and it doesn't even require an internet connection! Take my advice, you need this TV!!!

The TV was easy to set-up, and is absolutely brilliant in its color reproduction. The sound-bar provides excellent quality audio, easily filling our living room. Can't wait to get a home theater sound system.
The built-in over-the-air (and free) TV Guide is an amazing disappointment. After setting it up using my ZIP code and as over-the-air antenna reception, then waiting the 24 hours for it to gather the information, I was greeted by as many as 8 choices for each channel assignment (i.e. 8 choices for channel 4.1), some of which are California stations, others which are 300 miles away. Even when I selected the Denver (20) option (for the 20 stations broadcasting in Denver), I still had all these out-of-state and distant stations. Setting any one of these stations to "Off" kills all the other stations on that same channel (channel becomes "Hidden" and can't be selected, except manually). Setting even one back "On" brings them all back to the Guide. The website for Sony and TV Guide

WOW. This TV is has a great price and the quality is great! Now a days with the economy, jobs, and prices peaking, everyone wants a good bargain. Now this, is what you want. For all of those who don't know much about TV's, this TV comes at 1080p, which is top of the line(there is 480*,720*, and 1080*). Plus the "120Gz" is the frame rate; which determines how "smooth" your TV is when watching a fast pace movie or show, basically the higher the better. The size of the TV is great, if you don't know, this is a flat panel LCD, so just get a decent TV stand to support it. 46" is a good size, depending on your stand, but this is so far my favorite TV out there, I don't want a monster 60" TV, but I don't want a small TV. So for me this is perfect. Sony has always been my #1 TV brand because it lasts for a very long time, in most cases, and Sony has delivered again in this Sony Bravia 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV.

I was down to 2 different Tvs the Samsung or Sony. The Samsung I have previous tv before and never had an issue. The Samsung was pricer $600 more than the sony. Got a great deal at BB on the Sony 46" W model so I went with Sony since my PS3 is made by Sony and the Bravia was recommened by some friends. My PS3 never looked or sounded so much better I was blown away with the graphics, speed, and the hdmi cable I am now using to connect to TV. The TV automatically found and configured my PS3 to TV setting and the Receiver. I went from a 37" RCA tube Tv heavy, issues ,,hated it. This new TV rocks! . Also some people were talking about some minor issue with sparkling.. I found out from Sony all the TVs have been updated with the new firmware version, they even sent me free firmware just in case..Thanks Sony!! . I have not had any issues or anything with this product so far. I would recommend the 4yr warranty just in case. I have to replay all my PS3 games now,,,its like a whole new world now..WOW...and

I recently purchased the 46' Sony Bravia LCD and I have to say that I was amazed by the picture quality. Watching an NFL game on HD left me speechless. I watched a dvd on this tv and the picture felt very much like a documentary on discovery channel, i know this may be hard to understand but I think the 120 Hz technology makes the video quality seem more lifelike. I didnt notice it at first but when my wife pointed this out I could really notice the difference in the movie quality. Overall I would say that this is a quality tv for the money and I feel that anyone who purchases this tv is getting a great deal. I've read many people complain about the sound quality but I think that it is just fine to me, perhaps it isnt as good as other speakers offered by other brands.

I researched LCD's till my mind felt like scrambled eggs. I assume, like most other people, the decision came down to Sony or Samsung. I wanted to spend around $1500 for a 46 inch. After much deliberation and physically checking out the TV's at Best Buy, i went with the Sony for the following reasons:
Picture: The Sony screen is less reflective than the Samsung, providing a picture that i feel is easier on the eyes. The Sony also has very deep blacks, which makes the image look fantastic. I have to say that i also think the Samsung has a great picture, i just prefer Sony's.
Sound: The Samsung down firing speakers sound terrible and muffled, and although many people will hook their TV's up to a sound system, this bugged me. The Sony built in speakers sound great.
Design: To me, Samsung TV's look cheap and plastic. And i don't like "The Touch of Red." I think it looks cheesy and eighties. Although there is plastic border around the Sony, its industrial design is clean and elegant, and

I did my research on this LCD was looking forward to enjoying it. Bought the counterpart sound system. Stayed up all night putting it together. Easy to assemble (just follow instructions). Sat down to watch and got about 15 minutes into viewing and then this green grid like lines appeared on the screen. Called Sony's tech support and they were unable to diagnose it over the phone, so they gave me a couple of service centers that I could call to take care of the problem. So in that respect they were helpful. Especially since it will be covered under the warantee! I am hoping that it is a simple thing, so that I can reap the fruit of my labor. I also bought the extended coverage from Best Buy. I will follow up with the status within the next couple of days. I will say this; when I was able to see the picture clear I was very happy with what I saw!

I did my homework and this model was my choice. Image quality was #1 on my list and Sony beat out every other manufacturer every time. This particular model had the best mix of features for the price, which made it my pick. PCconnection had this unit very competitively priced, free shipping and excellent service. Highly recommended!

Have had this for 3 days now and just cannot keep my eyes off of the tv. The picture is fantastic, the sound to me is great and the ease of set up is why I am posting this for other prospective buyer's to read.
I did much research prior to buying this. I have a Vizo and Sharp LCD (smaller in size), and was almost going to purchase the LG 47" Scarlet (the sales person actually was getting it down off the rack). Then I noticed the back of the tv was red!!! Back to the shelf for the LG.
I then noticed this Sony and was blown away by the picture and sound. I know that most review say the sound is not that good unless you have a sound system, but I disagree. I think the sound is perfect. The only time I ever use a home theater is when I am playing DVD's or watching Nascar.
I watched "Wall-E" tonight and did not have the home theater hooked up yet and the sound was just fine (even with 3 teenage girls yakin all the time).
I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone

I went from a 27" ILO HDTV and this was a huge upgrade for our new house. I play Xbox 360 on it all the time and ive never seen such stunning visuals on a video game system. I had to upgrade the sound system on it though as it was a little weak. Overall the settings are very easy to set up and its just an excellent overall TV.

Extremely happy with this purchase. Took a lot of time and did a lot of homework before deciding on this TV. I've had many problems with other brands of TV's over the years but never had a problem with any of my Sony's. Plus, this TV had the best picture bar none. Blu-ray movies over an HDMI cable are simply breathtaking! 120Hz is nice for future-proofing - I think only blu-ray (and PS3!!) outputs 120Hz at this time but that may change sooner than later if the satellite companies get onboard with this as well as 1080p. No regrets at all - I got everything I wanted for under $1900!! Don't forget about best buy's 60 day price guarantee!

I spent months and months researching LCD's, and this one was the best bang for the buck, at least in my eyes. I have had it for 3 months, and can't be any happier.
The only negative is it did have sparkles, which I've found out is very common with most of the 08 Sony's. The good thing is, there is now a firmware update, that fixes it. So this set is perfect, now!!!!!

I owned a plasma for 4 years (zenith 42" edtv) and I loved it... looked great, sounded great, etc. I tried for the past couple of years to upgrade to full hd to no avail. I tried a 50" samsung (terrible color, horrific sound) and a 50" philips (decent, but not "great"). This sony BLEW MY MIND. Great picture, great sound, great build quality. You can't go wrong. JUST BUY IT

We researched the HDTV's & went several times to different stores to see the picture quality. This set is as near to perfection that we could find. The size is perfect for our room(12x11). The quality of color, vividness & definition allows you to see every crease & wrinkle on the face. Color is life like & sharp so that your experiencing almost a 3D quality. We purchased the set from Amazon getting the best price around. Shipping took longer than expected but the wait was worth it. I highly recommend this set over a Samsung (which was our 2nd. choice). The glass screen on Samsung reflected everything. Amazon's white glove service set everything up for us so that we only had to sit & enjoy.

I went ahead and got all bravia Sony equipment Sun.8/31. Looked at all the hdtv's in the store for a long time. (originally came in to get a LG) after comparing the Sony's picture to the rest, there was no denying who's picture blew the other's away. After checking out the 0% financing for 36 months, and a quick approval by best buy's finance, they approved me for enough to go ahead with the whole system. Blue ray, surround system, and of course the HDTV. I had it all hooked up in about an hour(don't forget the HTMI wires!) I didn't quick set up the blue ray, so the first blue ray movie I watched was in standard, it was so amazing I thought it was in HD! I read the book, took 10 seconds to quick set-up the blue ray and watched a 2nd movie in full HD and was blown out of my seat! Would recommend the bravia set-up to anyone! Cheers!

We bought this Sony Bravia 1 1/2 years ago from Amazon. It had a 5 star rating, everyone loves it. Last week we turned on the tv and all we saw were vertical lines. My husband did a search on problems with this model and found multiple message boards of people having the same complaint. No picture, just vertical lines. Everyone wrote in that the cost of the repairs were actually more expensive than what they paid for the tv. We brought ours to a Sony repairman, and was told the TV's lcd board was shot. The cost for the part from Sony is $1,800.00. Plus $200 for the repairman. After only 1.5 years of having the tv, the cost for the repairs were exactly what we spent to buy it. The repairman says this happens very frequently with Sony products now, and Sony doesn't budge to help with the cost, they just don't care. My husband called Sony himself to complain about it and told them we will never buy another Sony product again. What a disappointment. Please do yourself a favor and do some

I L.O.V.E. this TV! My husband and I have been looking at this TV (ever since the original 720p version) for a very long time and we have finally decided to buy it. Best Buy has helped us out a lot. We love buying from them and they know what they are talking about with their Sony's. At my home EVERYTHING is Sony because they were the original HD picture perfects. And this TV just proves it. The picture and sound are the best yet. Front speak means lower volume. The picture jumps right out @ you. My friends all love this TV.All of them say it is better than the ones they have @ home.. The extras are great also. Having program description @the top of the screen is wonderful. Don't need to go to TV Guide channel to see what a movie or show is about. Easy to navigate to set time & date, change contrast ,size screen or whatever you need to do.Some might think the cost is high but like the saying goes, You get what you pay for.I am very happy that I bought this TV ,it's THE BEST ONE YET !!!

Well it's been nearly one week since having this TV in-home and here are my first impressions:
1) Do not expect that Amazon customer service will be a quick way to resolve issues with your order. I spent the better part of 8 hours on the phone in relation to this order because of a bunch of weird circumstances. I finally got everything straightened out, but there were quite a few MAJOR frustrations. D
2) Amazon ordering issues aside, CEVA did a fantastic job with the delivery. They were on time, the delivery person carried the huge box into my house, unboxed it, set it up and tested that everything was working properly. He even took off his shoes when he got in the front door! A+
3) Set-up was a breeze. Before it arrived, I had already acquired all the external hook-ups (HD cable box, Blu-Ray player) and HDMI cables needed, so all CEVA had to do was plug in the power and a couple HDMI cables and we were set. Note on HDMI cables- do NOT overpay for Monster or some other brand. I got three

We find the picture quality on our new Bravia simply splendid. Since we enjoy fast paced sports, the 120hz refresh rate adds to the picture quality. We received our unit through Amazon from J&R, and had absolutely no problems with shipping/arrival. Control menus/commands were at first not a intuitive as we had hoped for, but with a little experience that is no longer an issue. Initial set-up was non-problematic.

This TV is awesome. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and everything works just like expected. I'm not going to give a technical review of the TV, as you can find those on the web. I do want to say that you can't go wrong with it. I spent a long (very long!) time debating between this one and the Samsung A650. They are very similar TVs. While the specs of the A650 are better, I looked at the two in the store and found it very difficult to tell a difference. However, there were multiple areas where the Sony was better for my personal taste. First, I am not a fan of glossy screens. While the W4100 is more glossy than its predecessor, it is significantly less glossy than the A650. This is a big plus if you have any lights or windows in the same room as the TV. Second, the speakers on the Sony are quite good for TV speakers. It won't match a separate sound system, but it is good enough to use. In contrast, the speakers on the A650 are useless. Also, while the menu driven system takes

I had been waitng for the new Sony LCDs to come out.
When I purchased this set and plugged it in I was stunned as to the quality of the picture. I own a Pioneer
50" plazma, the old sxrd rear projection sony 50", and this LCD, and this as close to plazma quality as I have seen. For the money, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better picture .

Great tv if you don't mind the clicking noise it makes. Every four to five minutes it clicks like it wants to turn on. Sony tech # had no clue as how to fix it.

Sony's new bravia series is unbelievable. When I purchased this tv I had a difficult time deciding which size I wanted.I went with the 46 in only because of the size of the room that thiz tv is in,At some point in the future i will purchase the 52 inch and will be just as happy as I am with the 46 in.If you are considering building a great home theatre don't overlook Sony bravia series tv's.The picture is awesome,Sound levels are great as well and you won't be disappointed,Just be sure that you use one of the four hdmi connections for crystal clear picture in 1080i.

This is a great TV for the price. The screen is great because it does have a glare problem like plasmas and the Samsung A650. The TV is working great right out of the box. With HDMI cables on both Bluray and digital cable the picture is the best I have seen. Standard cable looks good as well. I highly recommend this TV to anyone. The color and blacks look pretty good. The sound quality is also great.
