Great TV

I was looking for a TV to replace an old 13 inch TV for the kitchen. I didn't want to spend a whole lot, so I was waiting for a great deal. This was IT. This 19inch TV is a great buy. It was set up with my cable receiver in under 10 min with component video cables supplied by my cable company (waiting for HDMI cable from overstock on a separate order) . manual is easy to understand, & menus in the TV are intuitive. The picture is excellent. Colors are sharp & crisp. Audio is also acceptable via standard audio cables & the TV speakers (TV has built in surround sound option).
Built in DVD is a must for anyone with kids. Also, the DVD player is built in to the base, but is not obvious, which is also a great bonus for people with kids who love to stick stuff in there. TV does tilt forward/backward, but does not rotate.
The only thing is make sure you have 2 AAA batteries, as since its refurbished, the remote does not come with batteries. A small sacrifice for a great TV with an excellent picture,  more

Excellent Value!

I bought this refurbished TV for my bedroom to mount on the wall. Did not realize that the DVD player was part of the base, so had to leave that on the hanging TV, however, it is a great TV. We got a digital antenna for it and get 10 channels now, instead of 4 analog with our previous TV. I purchased a very heavy duty wall mount from another store, and mounted it myself. There was some sticky residue on the TV, but I was able to get it off with Goo Gone. All in all, we are extremely pleased with our purchase and figure we saved at least $150 or more.

Excellent purchase

Initially I was hesitant about this purchase because it is a refurbished unit. I didn't want to purchase someone else's problem. This LCD tv is great. I removed it from the box and had it set up in about 10 - 15 minutes. The manual is easy to understand. The color is crisp and the fact that it has a built-in DVD player is an added bonus. I was replacing a 13" tv and thought 19" was a logical step-up. The picture is so clear and vibrant that I now wish I had purchased a larger set. But this will be great for my bedroom when I purchase a larger one for the common area.
