Pros: Great sound, easy setup, great adjustability
This thing rocks, I am very pleased with the overall package. I am using it with a Denon 2113ci, Def tech pro-monitor 1000 fronts/centers. Fills the room with full, rich sound.

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: Size, volume control, build, and base responsiveness
I have to agree with all the positive things people reviewing this subwoofer have to say. It was recommended by BB Magnolia rep and I do not regret spending a little extra on a price controlled product for the quality.

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: Crisp and clean bass
Great for music and movies.<br />Bass is very crisp and clean, but still powerful enough for a medium size room. I didn't think this &quot;little&quot; sub would be as powerful but I was pleasantly surprised. It's small enough to fit almost everywhere but the sound is very deep, powerful and clean.

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: the sound
Cons: it went out within 60 days
I bought the definitive prosub 800 on Feb 3, 2012 and on March 31, 2012 I brought it back to BestBuy because God know what was wrong with it. I can not believe that a sub went out within 60 days of purchase and I never turn the volume pass 70% of it max and BestBuy was helpful by sending the sub back to th manufacter for me. If anyone considered a Prosub 800 please reconsider it.........

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: Highly versatile
Cons: A bit large
Have mine hooked up via sub cable to Denon AVR-1912. Bass is tight and responsive. Love the on-unit volume control - great for nighttime use or other times when ground-shaking bass, which this unit can certainly provide, would disturb others in the house. Also love the option to send signal via speaker cable for when a 'subwoofer out' jack on amp or receiver isn't available. Would definitely purchase again.

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: Deep, rich bass with no distortion that catches all the loves movies & music put out
Cons: May not be adequare for larger systems and room sizes.
We installed a middle-range system in our small living room (a Marantz NR1402 250W receiver and two MartinLogan Motion floor speakers) to go with our 55&quot; Sony Bravia TV, and it was great sound, but we knew a subwoofer would be the icing on the cake. The Geek Squad installer had a Def. Tech. ProSub 800 on-hand in his truck. He installed it for us to show the difference in sound, and WOW, it's amazing! And after having it almost two months, it's all broken in now, and it catches every low noise the movies and music have. I didn't know what I've been missing all these years, sound wise. It's just amazing and I couldn't suggest it more, especially for a smaller room that's not more than 400 ft. square.

Other reviews indicate this unit is capable of removing pictures from the wall. This is an accurate statement.. We run ours between 1/2 and 3/4 volume (located conveniently on the side) and have PLENTY of bass.

I had read the reviews on this deftech sub and decided to demo it. It sounded great at the store and it's quality at the house was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this sub.

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: What you get for the price.
Cons: NO complaints..
This subwoofer is blowing my mind. I have had the mainstream subs, like Pioneer, JBL and Klipsch. They don't TOUCH this unit. It is way more power than I can use, I keep the side volume control about half way most of the time. The low frequencies are so even and solid, good sound quality. Matching it to a 3 piece set of Monitor Audio Bronze edition speakers at 80W each. The subwoofer is equally matching the front stage's sound quality. I have been auditioning the sub in stereo mode with just the 2 front speakers, and I have never heard my CD's sound this good. Do yourself a favor, and at least check this sub out before you go buy a mainstream brand. For this price compared to the others pricing, there is simply no reason whatsoever to not get this one. I run the receiver crossover around 80Hz, but the subwoofer also has its own crossover and volume for fine tuning. I didnt know a sub could sound THIS good.

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: price and power in a medium sized room, easy volume control
Cons: nothing really
Bought this for a 20 x 20 foot office where I watch movies (5.1 speaker set up) and listen to music. I use a yamaha stereo and yamaha bookshelf L/R speakers (middle end price) that have a 6 cm bass. Now with this subwoofer I get so much more accurate base. Movies like transformer and Saving Private Ryan are so much better. This woofer has a dial for &quot;volume&quot; so with certain music you can really get more of less depending on your taste. There is a downward and forward base which I think makes a great combo.

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: Performance , Size
Cons: N/A
I purchased this sub at Best Buy to replace a Prosub 60 that was not giving the needed rumble that I desired. All I can say is wow! The base is crisp, clear, and strong. If you want a lot of base in a small unit, this sub is for you!!

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
Pros: Very feature rich at an affordable price range
This sub is being used in a small bedroom 5.1 audio setup, and I feel that this is important for those of you reading this review. The sub itself is smaller than most and yet has many high end features to it such as the LFE out and gain dial options on the back. There's a volume dial on the side that's also nice for quick and easy adjustability, and there's always the AV receiver that can handle power output adjustments to the sub for extra fine tuning as well.

Definitive Technology ProSub 800 120v Speaker (Single, Black)
After months of researching different models and brands of subwoofers, I finally decided to purchase the Definitive Technology ProSub 800. I really wanted the older ProSub 100, but the only one I could find was an international model that runs on 240v and I didn't feel like purchasing a converter too. I found an online electronics store that had an open-box item that was slightly discounted, but I was a bit leery because and wasn't sure if their description was accurate and that the product really was in perfect condition. Regardless of whatever doubts I had, I purchased the subwoofer anyway. I immediately opened the box and the product was in perfect condition! I couldn't wait to hook it up, so after work, I went home and used the LFE port on the back of my receiver with a Monster Cable Subwoofer Cable to the subwoofer. After a few days of "testing" I noticed that the red light on the back of the subwoofer would go off after about 15-30 minutes of use. I thought that maybe I had a defective unit, and was contemplating contacting the manufacturer. I read through the manual and this subwoofer does have an auto on/off feature. However, the subwoofer shouldn't have been turning itself off. Also, it wouldn't turn back on unless the subwoofer cable, fuse or power cable was unplugged. Eventually, I decided to try hooking the subwoofer to my receiver via the high level speaker inputs and then hooking my front left and right speaker to the subwoofer. Oddly enough, this totally corrected the auto on/off problem and the subwoofer works perfectly fine now. Here are my impressions now that the subwoofer works as it should: Size - The subwoofer is rather small compared to some of the other ones I've seen. The footprint is about the size of my 15" Dell laptop. It's surprising the amount of sound and rumble you can get out of this thing. Design - I do like the fact that the volume control is on the side of the subwoofer. It is definitely more convenient; however, now that the subwoofer volume is set, I doubt I will ever need to adjust. Also, I like the fact that this subwoofer only has 1 LFE input. Sound - This subwoofer sounds great. I've paired it with a 600w receiver and ProMonitor 100 and ProCenter 100 speakers and as many digital audio connections as possible. It provides a reasonable amount of rumble with the volume turned only half way up. The addition of the subwoofer makes a huge improvement on the overall sound quality of my home theater system and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I would recommend this subwoofer to anyone.

This product completes the entire HD experience. Without it the system doesn't come to life.
