Great Camera

I know little about photography and my husband knows even less. So I needed an easy to use camera that takes great pics. The color of my photos are excellent, and I love the 9MP for cropping into photos. Fuji Finepiz A900 is so easy to use and, little but not too little to hold onto. Small enough so that I can carry it in my purse. I love all of the automatic settings, at least 9 of them, if only it had a 10 pounds thinner mode, or 10 years younger mode ;)

Finepix A900 Could have been better

Fujifilm Finepix A900 9MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom is just another compact camera that takes decent pictures but could have been much better. It is small enough to carry around, Simple Point and Shoot Camera for any user who has no knowledge about cameras, But for serious photography please look elsewhere!

PROS:
(+) Decent 9MP Captures
(+) Decent battery life and use of Standard AA batteries possible
(+) Compact size
(+) Very nice Macro Shots!

CONS:
(-) Very poor LCD Preview Screen
(-) NO View Finder
(-) Poor Flash output
(-) Slower Startup time

You can probably say "It is okay" if you play less than $150 dollars, But there are cameras out there which can deliver better functionality for the price.

Note: IF you want to use SDHC Memory cards (Greater than 2GB) Make sure that you update the Firmware to 1.10, But in order to update to 1.10 Fujiflim forces one to have a Memory Card in the camera to update! GO Figure!... I was lucky as I had some spare SD cards available for me  more

A Great Buy! Very Satisfied

I purchased this camera for my boyfriend for Christmas to replace another Fuji Finepix camera that he had that was stolen. This is a step up from the camera he had and really is the best camera for point and shoot picture-taking. The pictures are really clear and it's very easy to use. We like the built-in memory feature. The camera is compact, yet the display is pretty big. I thought I got a lot of bang for my buck with this one considering there aren't a lot of 9 megapixel cameras out there in this price range and everywhere else I looked were charging a lot more for the 6 megapixel to 8 megapixel cameras. I have an older model Sony Cybershot camera and this one blows the Sony out of the water. I would never buy another Sony camera. They're terrible. I really think the Fuji cameras are great point and shoot cameras for the price.
