This game was amazing it has very intense combat, loads of cool weapons, and great special effects. The online play is fun and theres a lot of diffrent modes and I rank this game FAR above Halo.

Pros: Great HD Graphics. HDMI Support. Great Gameplay. Amazing multiplayer. Awesome Xbox Live experience (Very little server lag). Thousands of addons, challenges, unlockables, weapons, extras. Challenging, yet enjoyable campaign.
Cons: Frustrating at times. Extra maps are around £8 ($16 USD). Short campaign.
Bought this game a bit late, but got the "Game of the year edition" which means all of those online map downloads. FREE! Which i'm always happy with, me being a bit cheap XD. However! i went to the website to redeem my code to find (http://gameoftheyear.callofduty.com/) that they had "run out of tokens and were refilling" this was over a week ago now. and am really dissapointed they STILL haven't got it sorted.Anyways, enough of the bad side. On to the actual gameplay... One word; outstanding! Deserves the game of the year award, even if the maps dont work :@ no idea why i hadn't bought this game before! The online play is just as good as offline, if not better. Great clan mode to play with your crew. Fantastic array of game play modes, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch etc,etc (only ones i've played ^^). Easy to get into!
Would highly suggest anyone who has not yet bought this. DO! If you like GTA4, you will no doubt like this. The physics engine is quite alike with rag-doll systems and

This game was terrific. Lots of different missions and weapons. Adrenaline-pumping action and tension. But the single player mission is very short. I'm not one for online play, so this was a bit discouraging given the price of the game, but like Bioshock or Gears of War, I might actually be tempted to play it through again.

I've played COD4 for a grand total of about 16 full days (384 hours) and still appreciate it very much. Like Halo 3, this is primarily a multiplayer FPS with a sidecar campaign that is well-written, choreographed, and voice-acted. All there is to say about the game has been said, however, on the original game's forum, so let's focus on the GOTY Edition's only added feature: the Map Pack.
I purchased the map pack the day it dropped and instantly had mixed feelings. Two of the maps, Creek and Killhouse, only tangentially keep with the game's fiction. Creek is vast, set in an undulating eastern European countryside. Due to the map's size, most players equip sniper rifles and just pick others off as they make their way through choke points and hence has gained a reputation as a "camper's paradise", meaning that players tend to just sit and wait, or "camp", rather than rush their opponents. Killhouse, on the other hand, is somewhat like Halo 3's Foundry map in that it is a big generic warehouse
