Besides the number keys that light up the menu control, menu button, both selection keys left and right as well as flash an dhold are all BLACK KEYS which makes seeing them in the dark or low light really hard
most features to change are in menu's several clicks deep (on the dark buttons).
The "air" sound in every call is not horrible but a latest technology digital phone shouldn't have a "seashell" sound! Occasional echo.
I'd only put up with these inconveniences if the phone cals 49.99 not 109.99

Items to like:
- There is a speaker phone on the main base station
- When an entry is made in the phonebook on one handset it automatically copies the information to all handsets
- I also like the white background on this model versus the amber background on other phones

Very easy set up. Handset bases don't take up a lot of room. Handset is small and compact. Good clarity. I was skeptical because I had a Uniden set for 10 years that I really like but I am liking this product more and more. Would highly recommend it.

Grabbed ths phone as it was very nice looking and always liked the Panasonic name. Pretty easy to set up. Good instructions. After using for two weeks, one of the four head sets stopped working. Everything else seemed to work ok. Will be returning this morning. Long drive for return. Probably cost more for gas then the head set is worth.

I'm very happy with the phone . It's far better then the AT&T phone I had before it. The range, battery life and sound quality are great . This is one of the best cordless phones I've had yet ..

I "upgraded" from the Uniden TRU-8885 3HS Cordless Speakerphone 5.8GHz thinking that the Panasonic phone system would clear up occasional interference from other wireless devices. Unfortunately, the Panasonic system is a major step down from the much older Uniden system. Voice quality is mostly very bad, even when standing next to the phone base. The menu system is cumbersome to navigate and get voice messages. As a comparison, the Uniden had a single button to obtain voice messages; the Panasonic requires three clicks through the menu system. The caller ID is far to slow to display or verbally announce callers. Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with this purchase.

I am very disappointed with Panasonic's DECT technology that supposedly will not interfere with wifi. Not true. Facts not advertised are that the baseset plugs into the phone jack and "supports" all other handsets. So none of the other handsets plug in. Sounds like a handy little feature, but don't let it fool you...no phone jack, no signal. The further away from base, things like wifi and xbox wireless render the handsets useless. No sound whatsoever and dropped calls leave you feeling like you are back in the 80's...bummer dude! Bring back the 5.8 Ghz. and plug those handsets in! Each and every time.

I have owned the KX-TG9344 phones for 6 months now and I am very disappointed. I purchased these phones to replace two Panasonic's KX-TG5632, 5.8 GHz Digital Cordless. My wife dropped hers and busted the speaker and I cannot find a replacement speaker. So I purchased the TG-9344 in December 2008. With 4 phones we have 2 spares now, and believe me we need them. First I noticed the batteries, only 2 AAA rechargeable 630Mah each. A cheap battery for an expensive phone. We both use the speaker phone. It is very convenient and we have become reliant in using the speaker phone. I get about one hour talk time while using the speaker phone. Compared to 4 hours with the old 5.8Ghz phones. Which has a 3 battery pack that last longer. For about $30.00 I purchased 8 Duracel AAA rechargeable batteries that are 1000Mah. The phones will last about twice as long between charges. I have arthritis in my shoulders so I purchased both phones for the use of the speaker phone. Positive side, there are 4 phones.

These phones are feature rich, clear, excellent range, excellent talk time, and a pleasure to use. While I have voice mail through my phone service provider and did not need the built in digital voice mail feature, I found a really cool thing with these phones. Our voice mail provider uses an intermittent dial tone when messages are waiting which use to require picking the phone up to know you have a message. However, I quickly discovered that these phones "flash" a light on all handsets when messages are waiting! The talk time is really long also, even with only two small two AAA NiMH batteries, these phones seem to go forever on a charge. The ear and speaker phones are both ultra clear, the best I have ever owned and I have tried quite a few. The talking caller ID is also a very nice feature which is getting lots of use saving having to run over to see who is calling. I bought the 4 handset package and we are extremely happy with these phones.

We got this system for our home office and it is fantastic. I was leary about using cordless phones for office use but I have to tell you that the sound quality is as good as corded phones. The setup was a breeze, we had them up and working in just a few minutes. As for other reviews that said "the talking caller id can't be turned off and that you need the codes from the manual to program settings like the clock and night ring mode", they are incorrect. There is a menu button right on the handset that lets you scroll through all the features and settings, very easy! We love the nightring feature that allows you to set certain times of day that you don't want the phone to ring. It is great for our home/office, the ringers are automatically turned on at 8am and off at 5pm, no late night sales calls! The handsets a small and come with clips, very nice for going out on the patio without worrying about missing a business call. This is a great phone system, loaded with features, easy to use,

It has all the features I wanted and more.
Now I do not have to worry about running out of battery also easily connected with my son upstairs using intercom. Thank you for fast delivery.

The Talking Caller ID CAN BE TURNED OFF but it should be doable from the menu.
The codes needed to program stuff like the alarm clock are in the manual and I have never needed to keep a manual around to set functions in a phone

I bought this 4 phone set to replace a GE model I had that had real poor sound quality. I trust Panasonic and researched it before buying. Set-up was a breeze and there are wonderful features to this phone. I'm sold and don;t see myself buying another system for a long time. Buy this one. It's worth it!

Good clear sound communications. The phones instantly share any number entered into the phone book of one hand set with all the other handsets. Can set a custom time for Do Not Ring mode so that it won't ring at your bedside at night. Caller ID announces the name as you list it in the phone book, so you hear "Dad" instead of "Smith, Thomas", as an example. Custom ring tones are also nice for identifying people in your phone book, as opposed to a general caller. Sound quality is excellent through floors in the house.

This phone replaces a GE that audio was horrible. People commented how great and clear we were with this phone. I liked the feature of setting up the phone book with 1 phone and by placing it in the base, automatically transferred to all others. Phone was a little pricey compared to others but you get what you pay for and by paying a little extra, you get a great quality phone. Love the belt clips that come with it for all handsets. Only thing is the function buttons are small and hard to read. Any older person or disabled, like my husband, have a hard time reading them and with any little pressure or touch, the phone turns on. He was used to speed dial feature vs the phone book to call for help. Wish this had that feature along with the phone book. Handset seems small too and after a while, gets uncomfortable to hang on to; plus can't tuck it under the ear and shoulder to free up a busy mom's hands.

I bought this phone system to replace several old phones of varying brands that always had dead batteries after twenty minutes of use. The microwave and router always messed with their sound quality also. This new phone system is amazing in comparison. The sound quality is good no matter what is running around it or where I go on my 3/4 acre property. The batteries are normal AAA rechargable batteries that havent died on me yet even after continual 6 hour talking. The caller ID talks and does mispronounce things but I can usually figure out what it is saying. It really helps not having to run to the phone to find out that a telemarketer is calling. We have 2 phones on each of the main levels of the house and the intercom makes it easy to find people on 5 different floors. I recommend these phones for anyone.

I am a 33 year old father of 2 who doesn't like too talk on the phone. Our AT&T phone system just reacently crashed after only 3 years.I searched everywhere on the web for the right phone system that would please both myself and my wife. When I found this system at bestbuy.com I actually became excited about this product. The features are unbelievable.I haven't used the audible caller Id just because I'd hate too hear it while I'm watching a movie, and besides I have caller Id on the TV.The phone book is excellent though.I've thrown out 5 sheets of paper with various phone numbers on them.Night mode is also great Now I don't have too worry about the phone waking the kids. The screens are very easy to read, and the keys are a pleasant amber thats not hard on the eyes.Set up was a breese and only took 5 minutes too read the manual and familiarize myself with all the features and how they work. These phones are also very sleek looking. My 3 year old daughter saw them and said wow nice phones

I compared wireless phones for weeks both online and at discount retailers before selecting the Panasonic KX-TG9344T from Overstock. Great value and a perfect phone system, loaded with features, clear as a bell audio, Intercom works well, the voice caller ID is nice...we don't have to run to the phone to see who's calling! We had a 2 phone system before and these are an excellent value for 4 phones, no more missing calls due to losing or trying to find the nearest phone, plus the system is expandable to 6 phones.

Bought this to replace a 4 year old panasonic 2.4 system. The range is half of my old 2.4 system. The talking caller ID is annoying and you can't turn it off. It miss-pronounces most things, so its relaly useless.
I've had two panasonic systems before that have been virtually industructable. Can't tell much about this one though in a week. When in range teh sound is crystal clear. Easy to use. Easy to set up.

Phone book only stores one number per name. Only 50 entries are stored. We used our old Panasonic as a private baby monitor, since none of the neighbors could pick up the digital signal - but this phone system doesn't have room monitor. Other than that, the price is great, the quality is there. It uses 2 normal AAA rechargables. All the phones were already sync'd to the base.

I upgraded to the Panasonic KX-TG93xx series phone after our older KX-TG5771 model's caller ID stopped working. I have always been pleased with Panasonic quality, and this phone is no exception. Great sound and the talking caller ID is a must-have in our house. The old and new models are very similar in many respects. Here are some features that stood out in our use of the KX-TG9344:
PROS:
The talking caller ID will announce the names that you have stored in your phone book. So instead of hearing "Out of Area" as on the previous model, you hear "Uncle Bob's Cell Phone" if that is in your phone book.
Changes to the phone book on one extension are automatically updated on all phones. On the earlier model, you had to select a menu item to download the phone book to every other phone one by one.
CONS:
No display of number of new messages on the base phone. I knew this before buying the phone, but did not realize how much I would miss it. If a telemarketer calls, for instance, and

The machine is well-made, and will do the job for us. It does the basics reasonably well: answering machine, talking Caller ID. Voice quality is okay through the earpiece and via speakerphone. So don't ignore all the good things mentioned in other reviews. However, there are some serious limitations that I find maddening, especially considering the price.
The answering machine is limited to about 18 minutes of recording time. In this day and age, that's pitifully low. Fine for daily use, but not for a 2-week vacation. My previous answering machine, from almost 10 years ago, has more internal memory. On top of that, when the memory runs out, it doesn't necessarily tell the caller that their message will not be recorded!
The worst annoyance: Suppose someone calls, and another family member answers the phone. You, in the other room, pick up the handset to see who called. When you press the Caller ID button, it says "System is busy...please try again later." So until your housemate

Mainly purchased these phones so that we could useless wireless internet on our laptop and the phone at the same time - and these work as advertised.
I would have given this 5 stars; however, there is some buzz/static sound on our line while using this phone. We've always had this issue with every phone we use for some reason, and we're not sure of the source. We have DSL, but we have the DSL filters at each phone. The buzz/static may not be this phone's fault, but it is keeping me from giving it a 5.
Really like the address book function, and that all phones access the same address book (put the # in one phone, and it's available on all phones). The function of the phone announcing the caller is iffy - sometimes it's pronunciation is so terrible that it's annoying - but it's easy to turn off.
Also - we use voicemail through our phone provider. This answering machine only has memory for under 10 messages or so - kind of a joke.

The handsets are small & light and come with an optional belt clip.
The sound is clear even next to the wireless router. The range is excellent. It sounds great throughout the house and around the yard. The speakerphone is clear & loud. To get off speakerphone, you have to press "talk" rather than press "sp-phone" again.
If you're a caller ID subscriber, you can block calls for specific numbers. The phone will ring once and immediately hang up. You can add to the shared phonebook or block calls from any handset by manually entering the number or selecting it from the caller list.
Messages can be accessed from any handset and remotely.
Some other useful features are talking caller ID and alarm (once or daily with tone & melody or 7 fixed voice announcements) for each handset.
The intercom feature between the handsets is also nice.
I recommend this cordless phone system.

I've had a hard time finding cordless phones that have all the features that I am looking for. Foremost among these is talking caller ID. Panasonic is the only mainstream manufacturer that has phones with this feature. Although the KX-TG9344 is not perfect, it is the best of the phones I've looked at so far.
It utilizes DECT 6.0, which is the latest technology for cordless phones and is supposed to have greater clarity and privacy without having interference issues like the older 2.4 GHz phones. Not sure if this is primarily a marketing gimmick or not, but the Panasonic sounds clear and has good range. The screen is nice, and the handsets are smaller than previous generations of cordless phones (which is a pro or a con, depending on your personal preference).
Regarding the talking caller ID, it's a godsend not to have to get up to pick up the phone only to find out you have a telemarketer on the line. You have to subscribe to caller ID with your phone company, and not all the caller labels

This phone system is great for me because I needed phone sets where there was no telephone jack close by and/or there was little space to set a full size telephone set. The speakerphone feature on each handset is constantly used because I don't like holding a phone up to my ear. The handsets are small enough for a pocket when I go outside and get good reception and quality sound. I know I made a great choice when I picked this product!

This KX-TG9344T is, literally, everything we have been searching for in a "multi-unit phone system" since, well, too long ago! The annunciating caller ID did it for me! The wall mountable charging bases did it for the wife.
Actually, the real bonus is the batteries...not some "proprietary configuration pack" like so many of the other fellas require. Just two (2!!!) simple AAA Ni-MH batteries. Available anywhere. No searching 4-5 years from now for someone who can special order an "out of production" battery pack. $pecial Battery Order$ $pell "OUCH!"
We had purchased the Vtech, DECT 6.0 multi-phone system. Took it back. It was pretty with the blue screen and all...however, none of the charging bases would mount to the wall. Not that all had to be mounted, but in several of the rooms mounts were desirable. Wife not happy with that. And when "momma's not happy, guys..."
You'd be hard pressed to top this quality and function for the price. We are so pleased that we are ordering

Excellent product. It cleared up static from our other wireless devices, microwave, etc. I have the base next to my Linksys Wireless N base. This phone is connected to Vonage. When I have voice mail on the Vonage service it shows on the face of the phone as well.
Highly recommend this phone. Have had no problems with it.

All buttons on the keypad are not backlit, namely the TALK and OFF buttons. Trying to operate a handset in the dark is extreamly frustrating.
Each handset is identified only by a number (one through six) and it is difficult to remember which handset number is in which room. We worked around this problem by affixing labels (that identifed the room to its handset number) to the backs of all handsets. But a more vexing problem is that from an individual handset, you can't page all of the other handsets at one time if you want to page someone and you don't know which room they are in. The base unit does have a PAGE ALL feature but not the handsets.
All the other features that we have tried work very well. The system is a wonderful piece of equipment except for the brain-dead items mentioned above.

I love this Phone Set. I let it ring twice and before I picked it up, it tells you who is calling. I love these phones. I had a older set and they were worn out so I replace them with this set because I had the replacement plan. After having the phones for almost 2 years, i replaced them with the new ones and still received a in store coupon because the price was less then what I paid for 2 years ago. This is the best deal ever. I love the replacement plans at best buy.

These phones are by far the best cordless phones. The sound quality is great on phone calls. The intercom is a very handy feature and makes it easy to transfer phone calls. The talking caller id is nice, but it does not say some names correctly. The speaker phones are good on the handsets and base. The shared phone book makes putting numbers in easy.
The phone is missing some very obvious features. There is no speed dial, who does not put speed dial on a phone? The phone book works well, but still a speed dial would be nice. The light on the top of the phone is to bright when it is on the base during the night.

YOu can program your numbers into one phone and then transfer them to the rest of the handsets you have expanded from the main. My sister-in-law has the Uniden 6.0 and I like this one much better. You can actually program this phone without the users manual. The Uniden is difficult to program even with the users manual.

Despite the base pocket being shallow and not being able to tell how many messages there are, I think this is one of the best phones I have purchased. I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

I have always bought Panasonic phones...2 phones in almost 10 years - only because I went from cord to cordless. Now I need an upgrade and bot this one. Shocked that it uses AAA batteries? Not good. Then box said it takes 7 hours to charge...3 days later...still not charged. have to keep shifting them on the base as they don't sit properly - so they won't charge unless you hold them down - for 7 hours. Returned it...back to the drawing board.

I've bought them all, Uniden, V-Tech, AT&T etc. I believe that this cordless phone product is the best I've ever purchased. Do not waste your money on anything else. It has superb sound quality and very good range. It shares the caller ID and phone book directory. The minor cons are that it only expands to six handets, the directory only holds 50 names and numbers, and I wish you could record the answer machine announcement from the handset.

I've had this setup for a couple of days and really like the compact desgin of the phones, capability to add up to 6 handsets, backlight on handset and clear signal. Sound is very good and unit has more features than I will probably ever use. Only two downsides for me. First, says that it is wall mountable, but mount is NOT included - you must order it separately. Second, answering machine does not have message counter or readout that displays number of messages.

I went into BB thinking my wife and I were going to walk out with AT&T phones. We had our eyes set on the AT&T - DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering Machine for $129.99. I have to tell you, I'm so glad that BB was out. I saw the display for these phones and never saw them on the BB website and heard good things about Panasonic. I felt like I had to try them out. When I got on today and saw that they are actually a new product it made me even more excited. Anyways, after purchasing this set I got home and open the box and set them up. They are AWESOME! Talking on these phones is like talking to someone in person. The quality and clarity is just superb! Great job Panasonic!

I agree with the previous reviewer that this is a great product. I bought it to avoid interference with my home wi-fi network (g and n); absolutely no interference.
I really like the backlit keypad and the talking caller ID (a noticeable improvement over previous Panasonic phones). I notice that these were the biggest gripes on previous Amazon reviews, so Panasonic is obviously taking notice.
If you want to save about $20, you can buy the version without a phone keypad in the base unit (KX-TG9334T) but I like having the "extra phone" in the base unit (you have to use the speaker phone option with no headset plugged in). Works great at a workdesk or kitchen and almost makes this a 5 headset system.
Unlike the previous reviewer, who thought the headsets too small, for me they are slightly bigger than I like. I would prefer something slightly smaller that could fit inside a pants pocket while I'm working in the yard or in the garage. Not possible with these headsets--you need a belt

I was pleasantly surprised at both the sound quality and the range of this phone system. My driveway is 200 + feet long and I was able to walk all the way down to the mailbox without losing reception or crispness in my conversation. Will I ever need to be 200+ feet away from the base on a call? Probably not, but the option is there.
The talking caller ID is a great feature, but you have to program names so that the lame caller ID labels arent called out (for example, I tried calling the house with my cell phone and the caller ID said "PA Cell Phone" and that's exactly what the talking ID said - how am I supposed to know who the heck that is!).
The phonebook is slightly tedious, but it's easy enough to program a phone number once a phone call comes in.
The keypad is easy to read. Even my mother said right away that she could read the numbers without glasses.
The ringers are another shortfall to this phone, but again, that's not a big deal. There are about 6 options - 3 rings and
