I needed fax capabilities for Windows vista home premium and this printer fits the bill. Everything works ok with this all in one and for 50 bucks it can't be beat.

I have not had this printer for very long, and it is not my primary printer. I purchased it because I was looking for a printer that had a copy function that would copy legal size paper and had an atomatic document feeder. The price on the newer ones with these features are out of my price range and the ink is more expensive. I have always enjoyed my HP products so that was another +. The fact that it can be used as a fax, copier and auxillary printer for the low price I paid makes it a winner in my book.

Reserving one star only because I just got the printer today so can't speak to long-term performance. Print quality is exceptional; made a copy and couldn't tell it from the original. Phone feature is a bonus; faxed with no problem. Scanner works fine and though I liked having a flat glass surface (last machine) to scan smaller items or a few things at once, I find the feeder brackets on this machine are great for getting things centered, so that's a big plus. Local store had this printer for more than I paid including shipping; glad I bought it on line. Easy to set up; software easy to install. Good deal!

I bought the HP J3680 for my small business. I needed dependable printing of invoices and mailing labels, plus the ability to copy and scan. I also wanted a printer I could take on the road if I had to. The HP J3680 fit those requirements like no other printer I could find. On top of all that, I found a great price on Amazon.com
Caveats: I've used this only for printing black and white text.
Pros: Compact. Easy setup (Mac). Built in phone. Ink available everywhere. Takes up very little space on desk. The copier has many features to customize your job. The menu prompts are easy to follow. The phone (yes, even a phone!) has good sound.
Cons: Printing not the fastest, but the quality is exceptional. Cartridges are a bit finicky when being changed, but you'll get the hang of it once you've done it.
Bottom Line: I'd buy it again. Very nice for the start-up small business or general home use.
