I had this TV for about 8 month. I bought it at Walmart for about $700, you could get cheaper now. This TV has the most beutiful image quality. Although it says 720p, but it feels like you are watching 1080p. The sound is good. The menus are easy to use. Watching football on this TV blows me every time I watch it. You won't regret it for having this TV. I think This TV is great for bedroom. All I can say is "I love my samsung TV" period.

I bought this T.V. 8 months ago. Twice I had difficulty getting it to turn on - no sound - no picture. Now I can't get it to turn on no matter what I do. The Amazon customer service rep was very friendly but could only refer me to the "third party source - Electonics Expo" who actually sold the TV (news to me!). I called the Electronics Expo phone number that the Amazon rep gave me and they told me since my TV was 32" and up - I would now have to call Samsung directly- they don't deal with them! Then I called the Samsung customer service number and the Samsung employee, who was also friendly and helpful gave me the option of taking the TV to an authorized service dealer or having a repairman come to the house. However, since I was calling from work, and didn't have the serial number, I was told I would have to call back with the serial number before they could complete the service details. I was given a transaction number to refer to when I called back with my serial number. Two

The set is excellent when it was working but warranty service is pathetic. 3 months old and it started to have a totally white screen upon start up. Filed a warranty claim online, pickup was prompt by a repair vendor that Samsung directed me to. That was 5 weeks ago with no end in sight. The authorized repair vendor keeps saying they are waiting for parts, every time it's different and every time the part is special order from Samsung. Samsung 800# is useless, the escalation line has been down for a week, all you get is no help and a hang up. At this point, I really don't think I'll ever see the set again. Total frustration. Beware!

When I got this item I was very impressed with the picture quality, but then after six months the picture started going out for a few minutes now and then. It would recover on its own, but then it went out for good. So I looked online and found that Samsung TV's have this problem quite a bit and good luck getting service. So I tried setting up service online but there online support center doesn't work for much of anything other than downloading user manuals. Other functionality ends up in a loop or with nothing. So I called their service department just now, and based on what people have reported I don't expect to get speedy service or maybe any service, but even if they fixed this tomorrow there is no excuse for a TV to go bad after 6 months of light usage. My other TV's are 15-20 years old and have had no problem ever.

Set up easily by delivery person. Great picture using cable even without the HD box connection. Perfect size for a room 16x14. All my Samsung products have worked well

I was looking for a LCD 32" 720 p television with the best picture and sound for the money. This television fills those requirement and for less than $600.00. I paid over $500 for a Sony 27" CRT 11 years ago. There really is no reason not to buy a LCD television. Since this is a bedroom television, a timer button on the remote would have been helpful to turn off after 15, 30, 60 mins, etc.

Bought this TV on cyber Monday and have been pleased with the performance so far. The price is now $25 less than when I purchased it and I would expect it to continue to go lower. Since Amazon no longer does price adjustments, saavy shoppers could do better by waiting.

I purchased this TV and when it was delivered, set it up, plugged it in, and it didn't work. Contacted Amazon, who informed me that since their delivery service had not performed the 'White Glove' set up for me, I was not entitled to a replacement. I now got to deal with Samsung, whose policy is to repair. 1 month after purchase, I finally received my TV back from the repair company. Samsung states they have 21 business days to repair your set - and their policy is to repair, NOT replace a defective set. The repair service said I had a faulty power supply - that's why the set would not even turn on. Hope the next 11 months of my warranty are better.

Just got the TV a few hours ago, and So Far, So Good. The few bad reviews I read mentioned issues with the stand. I had none. Looks great. Sounds great. It has the best simulated surround sound I've ever heard from a TV. It still doesn't compare to true surround sound, but this is for my bedroom so I'm not in a hurry to buy another sound system. I have cable and this thing picks up a few HD channels(Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, and maybe one or two more) without a cable box. So far, I'm happy as can be about the tv. I'll update the review if anything negative pops up. As far as the service from Amazon, it was great as usual. I got the tv for $600. It was 750 anywhere else. Free shipping. I ordered it late on a Monday night. It was delivered on Saturday at 330pm. Might have gotten it a day earlier but I always work late on Fridays. UPS shipped it to a company named CEVA in St. Louis. They called me to set up a time to deliver it, then drove over 2 hours south to drop it off.

I did a LOT of research before choosing this TV. I read every single review here...and about 1,000 others for other TVs. We just got ours two days ago. We are supposed to have cable hooked up to it today and have been using a DVD upconvertor ($39 Phillips @ Costco) and wow does it look great!! I am anxious to try out the channel functions too.
We turned the backlighting down to "3" (not sure if that is down far enough) so as not to shorten the life of the TV. We have it set on standard mode, which after all our lives on regular TVs...it is still a vast improvement.(Dynamic mode was BRIGHT! and actually bothered my eyes after a short time).
We were surprised that after setting the picture to 16:9 all "widescreen" movies didn't fill up the entire screen, that some still had the black on the top and bottom (in some cases really skinny viewing that was annoying). We thought the point of getting a TV like this was to view those types of formats better. We ended up putting it on "just scan"

Well I've used Amazon.com on many occasions to check reviews on various products, so I thought that I would add to the reviews on this Samsung TV. I did quite a bit of shopping around before I made the decision to buy the LN32A450 model. Do not have a large living room, so this size (32") was fine for me. I had narrowed the purchase choice down to a Toshiba set or a Samsung. 1080 or 720? Don't think that it makes much difference in this size of a set. For my untrained eye, the less expensive 720 was the right choice. Earlier in the year, I felt that either the Samsung or the Toshiba would be satisfactory. When the new 450 model arrived on the scene, I swung to the Samsung. What's nice about it?? THE PICTURE.. THE PICTURE... THE PICTURE. Looks GREAT!! Was a bit concerned about ordering a flat panel TV from an Internet store and having it shipped to me, but it arrived with no signs of damage. Was packaged very well. Fairly easy to assemble and no problem with the on screen setup. Use an over

By the time you pay sales tax on the lesser brands, you are within $50 of this Samsung model on Amazon. I had two of the box store brands in my possession prior to the Samsung long enough to make an evaluation. This is an excellent HDTV. From picture clarity to sound to hook-ups to menus to remote to classy looks, the Samsung is clearly superior in every way. Unless the $50 or so difference is critical to feeding the family, don't settle for less.

After spending a couple of hours at Best Buy,HH Gregg and Costco, I carried this tv home.$700 at Costco with 3 yr warranty.Looks like Amazon will ship it free for $650.It has the built in tuner, so it is a plug and play.Pick up most channels I need in HD without a convertor box.The picture is about as crisp as you could hope for.No glare and no bad seat for viewing.Sound is more than adequate. In the large living room I see no need for external speakers.I was down to the Vizo, sony and this one.I made the right choice.100% satsified, which is rare for me.

Comparing this side-by-side in the store to the 32" Sammy A550, I didn't see any major differences, certainly none worth paying a couple hundred dollars more to get a 1080p set. If you aren't connecting to a 1080p source anyway (game console, BD player), then the 720p vs. 1080p. argument is moot in this size class (though the 550 offers higher contrast ratio). I also compared this to Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, and Sony 32" sets, and the Sammy was better hands down.

I've calibrated this set using settings I found on AVS forum for the 550 and the picture quality (PQ) is excellent in Movie Mode giving bright, natural, and saturated colors. I'm using this TV in my bedroom with a Samsung upconverting DVD player and cable TV (line direct from wall, no box), watching local HD channels via the clear QAM tuner. I actually found the PQ to be better with the QAM than the off air tuner. The remote also controls the Sammy DVD player which is handy. Standard def cable is poor in comparison, but not unwatchable.

I'm not going to write a big long review for this HDTV because its all been done. I do think that reading the CNET review can help answer a lot of questions you may not find answers to on this set. Don't just watch the video ! I'm very happy with this set and the channels that I get in HD look great. Although since most stations still don't broadcast in HD you will catch yourself watching a lot of sd programs in 4:3 which also looks great, but shrinks the overall picture size to around 27" on this set.I would take this into consideration when buying this set. I currently have my Wii, Insight 3.2 HD,& a older Panasonic DVD mini system connected to this set, besides the insight DVR the max I'm getting is 480p in 16:9, which truthfully looks pretty good through this set. I do plan on getting a upconverting dvd player and will update my review once that happens.

We live in a rural area and don't have cable or satalite so we were a little skeptical of the kind of picture quality we would get. We were very surprised with the ease of setting the Samsung up and the picture quality is fantastic. The remote is sleek and easy to read. We bought this one for our bedroom and when we get ready to replace our living room televison we will definately buy Samsung!

I bought this Samsung LN32A450 32" TV about 2 weeks ago or a bit more after some researching of several sets. I'd been eyeing LCD TV's for several months now once we knew of the tax rebates. I was replacing an old Mitsubishi 26" CRT TV that was purchased new in 1986, making it 22 years old that I got from family friends a bit over 4 years ago to put in the living room for it was larger than my Toshiba 20" set I bought new in 1996. The Mitsubishi had issues with discolorations in 2 corners and the remote sensor I think had stopped working for even a universal remote eventually got to where it would not work with it at all. So, the time had come to do something about it and that's where the Samsung comes in.

Just for the record, I still have my 20" set as it's been the bedroom set the past 4 years and is still very much fine. May well get a digital tuner box for it soon, but definitely in time for the changeover next Feb.

First of all, I ordered the Samsung via the white glove service here

The Samsung LN32A450 delivers on its promises of brightness, color depth and accuracy, wide viewing angles, flexible connection options, and more. When you read the manual, and look through the setup screens, you'll find an amazing range of adjustments to the picture quality, operation, and features that should suit any application or personal taste.

I chose this model instead of the entry-level LN32A330, which has lower contrast and speed specs, and fewer connection options, but costs nearly as much (at the current Amazon price, anyway). What a great decision this has turned out to be.

I'll get to the viewing experience, but I have to comment on the Amazon "white glove" delivery via CEVA logistics, because I felt it was a big unknown factor when I ordered. Well, it was relatively painless to schedule -- and like other reviewers, the package moved much faster than originally predicted. On the appointed day, the delivery guy came to our home, carried the box inside, unpacked it and set

Dont buy this unit for the high ratings. I'm not saying its a bad TV though...its excellent. But no much better than others 200-300 less. I bought this one for the design, and to mate up to newest DVD up conversion players they have out for a nice clean and elegant look. Thats it. Cause at this size, HDTV picture is impossible to judge one from another AT HOME. And SDTV is fairly poor, as with most LCD's.

We bought this to replace our 27", 20 year old, 125 lb Sony in our bedroom. While the Sony still had great color, we have just purchased a bedroom wall unit with an "entertainment top" that needed a television that was around 33" wide and not very deep, not to mention the desire to upgrade to HD.

The first joy is the Samsung weighs less than 40 pounds in its packing box, about the same as the cat litter I haul home. Out of the box it's under 30 lbs and very easy to move around. The stand was easy to put on and holds the unit very stable.

Per the performance, absolutely agree with the descriptions in the other reviews (We've hooked it up to a DirecTV HD DVR via an HDMI cable). Great viewing and since we are less than 10' away from the screen 720p is fine. One of the advantages of the 450 series (32" and 37") over the 330 when it comes to the entertainment center is the speakers on the 330 are on the sides of the monitor and make the unit wider. The 450 has the speaker under the

First of all I'd like to say that Amazon provides absolutely spectacular service.
I ordered this TV late on Thursday night and was already watching it on Monday. Amazing Amazon! The delivery company that they've used was CEVA, and I'd like to say "thank you" for the stellar and courteous service.

This TV is truly a gem. Number and variety of connections is very versatile and conveniently located. PC connection and USB port is a cherry on top. Picture is magnificent right out of the box, gorgeous deep blacks. Color accuracy is commanding, as well as video processing.
I was also pleasantly surprised by its performance on Standard Definition channels.

Remote control is feature rich and among other things has a hot key for 4 available aspect ratios.
I am very impressed with the speakers (which you can hardly see) that produce very respectable and clear sound.

Initial setup is a breeze, no need for late night TV Manual reading, just turn the TV on and follow simple screens.

After much research, settled on this LCD tv. I was not disappointed! Took it of the box and just attached my coax from my satellite service and voila the most beautiful picture appeared. The colors are spectacular and the sound clear and crisp. The black enclosure with the speakers at the bottom make for a good looking tv.

All of the other reviews cover pretty much all of the other "pros" for this TV and I agree with them 100%. I wanted to mention its quality for gaming.

I knew before I bought a new tv that me and my roomate would be using it alot for gaming on the xbox 360. I tried a couple of others with an 8ms response time and they just weren't quick enough. When I decided I was going to need something with 6ms or better I assumed I would have to spend a great deal more. Then I found this tv.

We play a variety of different types of games and all of them look and flow great. From Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 to racing games, sports games, and even GTA IV that just came out. In my experience there has been no delay from the controller to the screen and I couldn't be happier.

Great deal. Buy it.

Pros: Outstanding, crisp HD picture; excllent color contrast; solid response time
Cons: Slight pixelation with poor quality SD signal

"After doing a huge amount of research, I finally settled on this set. I was actually interested in the slightly lower-priced Toshiba Regza, but every store in my area was out. While shopping around, I noticed that this Samsung in particular seemed to have a top-notch picture. Finally I decided to take the plunge 3 days ago, and I have not been disappointed at all. In the past I have had several issues with LCD TVs, which is why I had been hesitating up to now. I know these issues are on many people's minds, and so I will address each one:
.
Motion Response
-----
First, and most important, is response time with fast motion. I am driven absolutely nuts if the TV can't "hold" the motion (that is, if the image smears, or fractures, when high speed elements are zooming across the screen). The element you are looking for in an LCD monitor that tells you about

Good image quality watching local HDTV stations, DVD movies and video games. This 32" LCD HDTV has 3 HDMI inputs, S video, composite video in, component video in and optical audio out.

The HDTV is easy to set up, with an automated feature that finds all the HDTV channels on air or your local cable. The black levels and contrast are quite good. This screen features 720P progressive scan.

The remote and menu software are well designed, so that you don't have to go too deep into the menu to adjust settings. The prices in Atlanta area ranged from $800 at Fryes Electronics to $712 at HH Gregg. Prices online appear to range from $700 to $1000.

Since the Samsung 400 series was launched in March 2008 this is quite a range of prices. The Samsung 4 series is intended as Samsung's value line, compared to the more upmarket Samsung 5 series. However, this monitor seems to have better picture quality than some of the other 32" LCD TV's we reviewed in the $800-900 range. This price and quality makes

Bought this model a few days ago from H&H Gregg for $807 "on sale." Not clear why they would be discounting a model that just came out this month by $92 off list price when last year's model was still selling for more than that, since the new model boasts better technical specs in several important respects.

Bought Samsung because many reviews indicated Samsung was worth the extra money in picture quality over cheaper 32" models. The picture is excellent. The documentation is good as far as it goes. However, there are a myriad of picture controls that are probably great for the afficianado, but bewildering to any neophyte. Unfortunately, the documentation doesn't give you any real insight into when you would want to deviate significantly from the default settings. You just have to keep experiementing until you find what you like. There are several "automatic" settings that supposedly make adjustments to the picture based on the input source and material, but frankly I couldn't tell whether
