This is my third Samsung LCD. The picture is great, like the others, but the sound is terrible. It's so bad, sometimes I can't understand what's being said. I had to run the sound through my stereo to enjoy watching the t v. I don't know if I got a bad speaker or what, but the sound sucks.

I bought the LN46A550 about a month ago and am glad I did. Like most people who are deciding on their first Big(er) screen HDTV I was torn between a plasma and lcd. I sided with LCD because of a better selection and they seemed more reliable based on reviews Ive seen. I also wanted to stay with a budget of 1200 and after reading a lot of reviews this TV was unanimously well reviewed and the price was hard to beat. The picture is great and even though it lacks the 120hz processing I havent seen any motion blur any fast moving scenes or sports. Still, comparing it to a plasma, it seems to lack the 'pop' in dark room settings. So if you are using this for a theater room I suggest going plasma or perhaps one of the newer led backlit lcds. Still for most tv viewing in semi-lit room for normal tv programing my picture is really great. Also, menus and color calibration controls are great for those who obsess over getting that down to a science.

Picture awesome sound is awful need surround sound system makes it worth while only bad thing about TV is sound other than that grate TV. If you have a surround sound system to add to it you can't go wrong.

I have had this for over 2 months. Like most that invest this much money in a TV I did a lot of comparison and research. I settled on the 46 inch A550 model because it had the best features for the money. Thought about the A650 but not wild about the maroon frame and I saw little difference in features and picture quality between these two models but a big price jump to the A650 I couldn't justify.
Picture - wow, out of the box it was just right. The menus are easy to navigate. I played with some changes to see if I could improve the picture but ended up going back to the settings out of the box. The blacks seem dark and natural to me. Yes plasma's are a hair better but certainly not noticable or anything I would complain about on this LCD.
Viewing angle - one of my concerns since the reviews say LCD's don't have as good a viewing angle. With a u-shaped couch in my home theater I still get a great view sitting at the end of the couch. Probably a 60 - 70 degree angle.
Remote - I like samsung

Pro-Beautiful TV, Beautiful picture especially with 1080. The 120 GH is not needed. Con- Speakers not great but normmal for a TV. I am using my computer 2.1 speaker with this TV. Biggest complaint was with the delivery (Pilot was the company) White glove delivery it was not. The delivery man & his boss were rude, but Amazon made up for their rudeness.
