Hp - 15.6" Pavilion Laptop - 8gb Memory - 750gb Hard Drive - Natural Silver
I and a colleague have been using this laptop for office work for the past 6 months and we are software developers by profession. So far we haven't encountered any problems with it. Battery life is good, speed is good. The system doesn't get heated up with excess use which is a problem of HP laptops. I have had this problem with another HP laptop for 2 years. Overall, this laptop great.

Hp - 15.6" Pavilion Laptop - 8gb Memory - 750gb Hard Drive - Natural Silver
Pros: Display is clear, Good hard drive and RAM
Cons: slow sometimes
This Pc is a very good computer for its price. It has 750 hard drive which is plenty enough for the average user. 8gb Ram makes is run fast normally. I have had this laptop for two months and it runs fine. I can run multiple programs at once without problems. It has a fingerprint scanner which is very accurate. The disc drive may seem flimsy but its rather durable. Very good computer for home use. I can usually get 5-6 hours with the battery. The sound is incredible. Also Windows 7 is superior to 8.

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Everything
Purchased a new one in July, 2012. It started freezing and going blank after about 45 days. Spent many hours on the phone with HP tech support getting no where, pulling the battery compartment to check wiring, reinstalling BIOS, etc. They finally gave up and told me I needed to send it in and it would take at minimum of 2 weeks. Not acceptable for a new computer! Returned it to Best Buy and they were great! We were out of the company policy for returns but they did it for us. We got a new replacement in Sept. 2012. We added Geek Squad protection for $99. Thank goodness because about a month later the dvd driver stopped working. I spend another 2-3 hours on the phone with Geek Squad, who couldn't get it to work and put me in contact with a 3rd party to work on it. Finally got it to work. I don't use it much, but went to use it and again the dvd driver is code 52, not working. I am currently in que (so far 35 minutes have gone by) to tell them where they can put this piece of junk! I was returning something at Best Buy today and another person was there with the same computer and issue. The sales person said they have had all kinds of issues with this computer and they recommended a Lenovo. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPUTER AND BRAND!!!!!!

Hp - 15.6" Pavilion Laptop - 8gb Memory - 750gb Hard Drive - Natural Silver
Pros: Backlit Keyboard, Biometric Security
Cons: Numeric Keypad. No Number Lock On Light / . Numeric Keypad Not Desired / Screen does not tilt back quite far enough.
I was waiting for the Window 8 units to ship... but had to replace my old laptop because it was indicating its desire to retire. I did lots of research on my own from Tech Sites and admittedly benefited enormously from the reviews of consumers both here and elsewhere. This is a pretty nice unit apart from the numeric keypad that causes the keyboard environment to be somewhat cramped and not as nice as it could and would be w/o this feature which I am sure accounting types love. I wish it wasn't there and prevents me from giving this laptop top marks.

Hp - 15.6" Pavilion Laptop - 8gb Memory - 750gb Hard Drive - Natural Silver
Pros: Great battery life and screen resolution
Cons: It took a while to get used to center off-set keyboard
I’ve had this computer for about 2 months, and everything I’ve tried (haven’t tried web cam yet) works great. The numeric keypad on the side causes the keyboard to be center off-set. Since I’m used to using a full size keyboard, it took a while to get used this. But the numeric keypad is a great help to my work. Also, the back light keypad is a great help, especially now that the days are getting shorter. It would be nice to have bigger up-down arrow keys, but you can turn off the numeric keypad and use those arrow keys if needed. Four USB ports are nice to have. I’m not a big fan of mouse pads, but this one isn’t too bad, but I still primarily use a wireless mouse. I really appreciate the 8GB RAM. It’s easy to turn sound and wireless on and off and adjust screen resolution from the keyboard.

Pros: Love the color and size of this computer. It is so easy to carry around. Works well for what I use it for.
Cons: This computer is hard to set a default screen on.
This a great computer for home use. I use it to check e-mails and keeping in touch with friends and family on Facebook. I also use it to find new recipes to cook for my family.

Hp - 15.6" Pavilion Laptop - 8gb Memory - 750gb Hard Drive - Natural Silver
Pros: Easy to set up
Cons: After 2 weeks it needs to be returned
Bought the laptop 2 weeks ago and starting yesterday I keep getting the blue screen saying windows has shut down. The fingerprint scan has stopped and I get a message that it is obsolete. When you are on one page and click a link it takes FOREVER for that page to come up. I've had 4 messages pop up telling me that the brand new virus protection that Best Buys recommended for me to buy is outdated. Something just isn't right with this computer so it's going back.

Hp - 15.6" Pavilion Laptop - 8gb Memory - 750gb Hard Drive - Natural Silver
Pros: Virtually everything
Cons: A 90 degree ac plug is the only improvement you could make.
OK people,
The 4 stars on convenience is solely for the ac cord. This is hands down the nicest, smoothest, best running laptop I have ever used. Please realize that at the time I wrote this, there were 12 1 star votes, and even though I don't blame them, like everything else these things are mass produced which appears to have left us with a dozen oops.
Do not let this deter you. My home pc is a first gen. core i7 and this 3rd gen. i5 smokes my home computer. This was a gift for my wife and she is very pleased and I'm jealous. If you're looking to buy, and of course this qualifies for the 14.99 windows 8 upgrade that comes out Oct. 28, do it now because when they release the new OS these will be gone.

Hp - 15.6" Pavilion Laptop - 8gb Memory - 750gb Hard Drive - Natural Silver
Pros: Display, lighted keyboard, quick boot, lightweight and thin, aluminum shell, battery life, sound
Cons: Nothing
I had bought a 17" Dell from Costco with essentially the same features. Problematic from the start and returned. Then, I bought an "Entertainment" series 17" directly from HP. It started to give me problems with the keyboard within the first 30 days. They would have shipped me another or repaired it, my choice. But, I decided to return it. I thought I'd like the 17" monitor, but found it too bulky. There was nothing else on their site that interested me. I held off and a few weeks later saw this model advertised in the paper. It's a Best Buy "exclusive." I checked out the HP website and could have configured the equivalent model. However, even with one of their sales, it was still significantly more expensive than this one. Costco had another model for the same price with inferior features. I am totally satisfied with the size, performance, look, and feel of this laptop. I've had Compaq, and Sony's prior to this. This one beats them all.

Pros: back lit keyboard
Cons: have to look at it straight on
Too much bloatware, but everything else about it is great! Fast. Keyboard is great. Touchpad works smoothly. Silver color is cool. Easy to use, lightweight.

Hp - 15.6" Pavilion Laptop - 8gb Memory - 750gb Hard Drive - Natural Silver
Pros: BeatAudio, Process fast, Good price, Laptop color
Cons: Nothing so far
I recently bought this laptop and i'm loving it! it has great sound quality and processes fast like what an i5 should be. you get what you paid for; the price is good too in my opinion. i looked up this laptop on HP website and it for natural silver, it's about $900 something so im glad i got this for $762 (included tax and fees). Remember that this laptop is NOT ultrabook so the thickness of it is pretty thin for a normal laptop. It's not too heavy either for a 15.6". It was easy to set up; after i bought this laptop i went to my friend's house right away and plugged in the charger and turned on the laptop. The set up only took me about 10 minutes and i was able to start surf webs and watch movies. If you ask me, i would say i like everything about this laptop: the color, the processor, the keyboard, the screen, the sound quality, and etc.
