Awesome

I recently purchased this product and absolutely love it. It provides great video pictures, and has fantastic zoom capability. I have carried the video in my purchase and it is feather light. Basically, the camera provides excellent video with easy use. Would recommend it highly.

Garbage

I bought this camera with high expectations.. I started shooting video and thought that the contrast range looked pretty bad on the view finder.. I bring it home and look at it on the computer and it looked YouTube bad.. I mean really crappy. I'm a professional editor so I know how video is supposed to look. My Hi8 sony handycam I had back in 1993 shot video 10x better than this piece of garbage. It has horrible contrast range, there is a lot of artifacting and noise when recording certain patterns such as vertical shapes. The color representation is atrocious. Nothing is in focus everything looks soft. I returned it 4 days latter and bought a Panasonic GS320. If you care about having crispy beautiful video go with a MiniDV 3CCD camera. The technology is stable, supported, and well developed. Until they get HDD cameras that match the quality of MiniDV for consumers I'll stick with MiniDV. I would imagine HD is no different.
