Overall the processor is a piece of cake to install and I installed it into my computer and it was so fast the program would open like a blink of an eye.

Installed on a ASUS Maxiumus V motherboard. Screaming fast with 2x128 OCZ Vertex IV on a Raid 0. Thank you J&R for having these in stock. Bumped voltage up slightly to get beyond "Turbo" speed of 3.9 ghz to roughly 4.1 ghz per core with STOCK fan in a Raidmax SMILODON case (has several fans but overall is very quiet with the SSD drives), although I have a GTX 480 video card I do not play any games. Photoshop CS4 is STUPID FAST! (on a non roaming profile). 'nuff said.

I upgraded from 2 generations back from an i7-820 which already had 4 cores & 8 threads so I wasn't expecting a huge improvement, mainly quieter, and cooler. I was pleasantly surprised to get a noticable performance jump, definitely the fastest PC I've ever used. Happy!
