I love this MP3 player. Cost effective and does all the same functions as the big name players without the big name prices. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The only thing that troubled me was at one point the radio wouldn't work and upon doing a little research I found out that you can pause the radio. So if you get one and suddenly you have no radio function double check to see if you accidentally paused it.

I had my clip for 2 months. The sound was intermittent. Then it stopped working all together. I sent it in to SanDisk on 6/25. I still don't know the status and when/if I will get my clip or a replacement clip. (7/30) I have contacted Sansa several times. The most common response is (paraphrasing) that's not my job you need to talk to...... The customer service is horrible.

I use my Sansa Clip several times a week, and I really enjoy its lightness, the stylish shape, the just-right memory size, and the cool features (record function, FM/AM radio, customizable settings). The company shipped it in a very reasonable amount of time, and it came in excellent condition. The volume control is good (maybe a little loud, since the lowest volume setting is pretty loud to me in a quiet room, but it's totally fine at the gym or on the street). It is not easy to accidentally bump the player and stop your music (there is a hold tab to lock the keys, but even if you don't have the hold button on, it takes one click to reactivate the buttons before you can change anything, kinda like cell phones these days). The buttons and window are very user-friendly and logical. If you pause the music before you turn it off, when you turn it back on, it goes right back to where you last paused it at. I've considered how to write this review for a few minutes now... How to explain why this is so much better than an ipod shuffle? I'm going to keep it as simple as possible and if you're already aware of the functions this offers and don't need to be reminded, just skip to 'the bottom line'. What you can expect from the Sansa 2GB: A display. Ya know, so you can decide what to listen to, instead of letting Apple decide for you. See, unlike the sunny island where everyone who uses apple products lives, sometimes it rains here, and I like one kind of music when it rains, and another when it's a bright, spring day. Oh but Apple has released the 2gb version of the shuffle! Twice the music...still can't see it. It's sad that people are made to believe there is really even a choice to make here. Great battery life. Just plug it in occasionally and you'll be fine. I haven't used it for more than 3 hours though, so I can't say it's really been battle tested yet. More memory

Bought this for my 8 year old for christmas. He preivously had a disney mp3 player and my old Sansa MP3 player. I first picked this out for him because my old one was kinda bulky and used a aaa battery. Since this was small and rechargable I picked it up for him (that and it was $30). He absolutly loves it! He thinks it is the best MP3 player in the world. I think the menu is very easy to use. Very easy to load songs onto. I have a Ipod (gift from the husband) and although I love all the bells and whistles. If I didn't have my Ipod, I would totaly buy this for myself also.

this pretty little red music player is a must have. It holds a ton of songs, it's display screen is so bright you could probably use it to single a helicopter if you're lost, it's simple and really easy to use.

Although I have an Ipod, I could only listen to recorded books if I bought through iTunes. When I discovered that the public library offered free audio book download/rentals, I also learned that I'd need an MP3 player that handled WMA files. Happy ending--this little device quickly downloaded 3 great audio books that cost me nothing. I can exercise longer when I'm listening to stories, so I'm all set. Being able to listen to NPR is a big bonus as well.

I bought this player for my wife (who was using my MP3 player all the time). She is technically challenged so I needed something simple that would not frustrate her. This player was very easy to format, load music and figure out. My wife loves it ! It has ample storage for all of her favorite music and allows room for more (audio books, etc.) The FM radio is nice, simple to use and preset stations. Great buy and excellent service from the big "O" ! Thanks !

Small great qualiy player. Overstock great to deal with. Already have recommended to freinds. Free shipping order 3 days before Christmas came day after christmas. I was exspecting later it than that. Very satisfied.

This was a gift tomy sister and she was very satisfied, however she asked me for the istruction,and there were none,also since there no instruction there were no way to tell what the the disk that came with the package was for.

Got this as a Christmas present for my 13 year old daughter. It was pretty easy to load music on and seems to hold a decent charge. My only problem with it is that it is quite a bit smaller than I had anticipated. She likes it though and that's the important part.

This is a wonderful MP3 player..I bought it for my husband for a Christmas present, and we both love it. It is so small, with great sound quality and can hold a lot of music. Great buy!

this little tiger really packs a punch for the price. you would expect to pay alot more for something like this, but Sansa is what's happening now. i love it, easy to navigate and the sound is just fantastic. the headphones that came with it sound alot better than my Sony headphones from my previous mp3. i would highly recommend. a special plus is the FM radio. the clip is not taller than my pinkie. if i could give this 10 star rating i would. buy one before they are all gone! and super fast shipping, thanks O!

I listen to it all day at work and only have to charge it every other day or so. Great sound quality. Loads just like a thumb drive. Just drag and drop files.

I received this in the mail today (Wednesday) and I just ordered it over the weekend. The radio and songs on it already sound great. I can't wait to download some music on it. Thanks Overstock for shipping it so fast.

This is the best deal ever. I bought it, it was almost like new, and it got in here in two days. It was easy to install and put music on. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anybody!!!

I wanted something small to use at the gym and this player has exceeded my expectations. It has simple, easy to use functions at a very reasonable price. The clip is handy and convenient too. Loading music is simple and does not require any complicated programs since you can use the sync function in Windows Media Player or just drag and drop music via Explorer.

I researched before I purchased these mp3 players and can't say enough about the Clip. After begging for (and getting) iPod Shuffles, my girls gave them up when they tried these. They are slightly larger than a Shuffle, but still very small. The sound is terrific and the other features such as FM radio, the ability to record from the radio, a viewing screen and great price beat the other brands hands down. The colors are very appealing, too. This Clip was refurbished, but the only thing that didn't appear new was the packaging. The Clip package comes with earphones, a short usb data cable that doubles as a charger and a cd. It is easy to use and you can view the Clip's contents on your computer. One nice feature is that when you add music, you don't lose what is already on the Clip if you have removed the previous music from your computer. It also has a regular mini 5-pin connection, so you can easily find accessories such as chargers/additional usb data cables. I have purchased several

This is a great little player. Good sound (don't use the included headphones though), FM radio, and with a firmware upgrade, it is even better! Works well with Ubuntu Linux, and again, even better with the firmware upgrade!
I highly suggest you upgrade the firmware. You either need to do this in Windows or do a search for the download to do it in Linux. Just download the zip file, extract, and put the .bin file in the player root directory. With the upgrade Linux will recognize the player as a music player instead of just a flash, and will open up on a music player. Additionally it will add added audiobook and podcast support and folders. It will also allow the player to recognize .ogg files, which is a great addition for even better quality music files!
Radio is a great feature but reception is a little weak. That is common among MP3 players, as you really don't have room for an antenna. Great buy for the money. Don't waste money on that product from the fruit company. You

Con's - Nothing major, all fixable.
The headphones included don't take advantage of the sound quality this thing puts out. When you hook it up to a car the volume is low compared to other players so you have to raise the car's volume a lot higher.
Pro's -
Hands down the best sound I have gotten from an Mp3 player, the bass response is just amazing. I bought some Skullcandy 15 buck headphones that insert into the ear and its like having a subwoofer in your ear. Not an annoying bass, its a smooth responsive bass.
Its small cute and tough as nails. I take it on long hikes, runs and work (construction.) The battery life is OVER 15 hours of continuous use. Oh and mp3s are coming in higher bit-rate so get a higher gig one cause the new mp3s will eat your space. A cave man could use this thing, display is bright and buttons are responsive, menus are easy to navigate. Get one.

I was looking for an MP3 player that would support e-audiobook free downloads from the library. Ipods won't work. The Sansa Clip is perfect - but you have to update the firmware from Sansa to have audiobooks (or long audio files) work properly. Google "sansa updater" to find the updater software, install it on your PC and it will automatically check for firmware upgrades every time you connect your clip.
What a great little device - good sound, holds a battery charge as promised (even after sitting in my purse in cold weather for two weeks), and I love listening to books from NetLibrary for free! Makes time fly on the treadmill. The radio is perfect for tuning in to the TV frequency at the gym, or listening in a metro area.
I did get one for my dad, who lives in a rural area, and the FM tuner is useless there.
Overall, I highly recommend this MP3 player without reservation.

I bought a red 2G Sansa Clip for my mom and the same in black for my Dad. Both were thrilled to have such a small, stylish, easy to read (i.e. great display contrast), easy to use mp3 player with FM radio. Initially they had requested IPods but after receiving the Sansa clip they got over the hype pretty quickly. This one is a winner, and frankly, if I didn't already have my 30G Video Ipod, I'd be a Sansa clip owner as well.
