back to whatever music was last saved/paused, not necessarily where you finished your last session. My biggest complaint would be that it wasn't very apparent how to build playlists on the Clip in the instructions they give with the packaging. I finally figured out that I could sync it to Windows Media Player, and so I ended up making my playlists in WMP and transferring them to the Clip that way. At first I was trying to make folders for my music files and hoping it would save onto the Clip in those folders, and that didn't work. There is a convenient function called the "GoList" in the Clip that allows you to designate any song you are currently listening to be in the GoList, and that is the only in-built "favorites" playlist you can modify within the player. My other playlists show up but cannot be modified, I can only play them as is or delete songs. But once I figured all that out, I have not a complaint in the world about this awesome little player. The red is a great color too--not too bright and very sleek. I would DEFINITELY recommend this player to anyone who wants a lightweight, multi-functional player that will be an excellent companion for everyday use!

for a lower price than the shuffle... Unless of course you enjoy paying more money so one day you can want to hear one particular song but are forced to listen to the other 300-900 other songs before it gets to yours. Easy to transfer music (even without Itunes, which I use as a player). And anyone claiming the thing is difficult with a computer, either has a terrible computer, or a terrible brain. Superfast startup and load times. Small. As small as an mp3 player needs to be before they can just inject music directly into your ears. I run with it and bring it everywhere with me. I hardly notice it. Anyone who thinks the size difference between this and the shuffle is something to consider, has bigger problems than deciding which mp3 player to buy. A clip. Convenient. My two (very small) complaints: First, yes, the headphones are pretty crappy, but they're good enough to jog with instead of my 'real' pair so it is actually convenient. And anyone who really expects good headphones to come with an mp3 player doesn't know what good headphones are (Ipods not excluded). Next, I wish my computer would let me 'safely remove' it instead of having to just unplug it. It may never amount to anything but we've all had cellphones and other things decide to stop charging on us and perhaps that's one of the culprits. If that happens with this, well that's what the warranty's for. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to enjoy it before that ever happens. The bottom line: anything would be better than giving Apple another $40 or so of satisfaction from selling an mp3 player without a F@#%ing display! Think about it for another 5 seconds, then buy one of these, and everytime you see someone with a shuffle, you'll know you're a better, smarter person than they are... and better looking. You're welcome, SanDisk.
