Grace Digital Wireless Internet Radio
I've been listening to internet radio for more than 5 years, and have been exploring the purchase of a stand-alone wifi radio for the last two. The market has either been high-end ($300+ for the Roku Soundbridge or the Revo Pico), products with flaws (check the reviews for the Torian InFusion) or not a true standalone device (requiring that your computer be on, works only with open networks, etc.).
When I saw the Grace Wifi Radio at the $170 pricepoint, I decided to give it a try. I opened the box about an hour ago, and within 10 minutes had it set up, working with my WPA protected AirPort network. Sound is good; this isn't hifi, but like 90% of internet listeners I'm no high-end audiophile. The stations available through the Reciva server simply blow my mind (think thousands instead of the hundreds I normally look through on iTunes). I can see myself playing with this for weeks, cranking the dial like a kid with his first shortwave.

Grace Digital Wireless Internet Radio
This is my third brand of Internet Radio. It has excellent WiFi receiver sensitivity and connects very quickly. The menu is very intuitive and responsive. Also, the tonal quality is excellent. If you need stereo output, it's easy to attach an external amp and speakers, but I haven't found a need to do so. I've also found that responses to questions to customer support are rapid and complete. The Grace seems to have the best price/performance of anything else I've seen. So I just bought a second one!

Some might find the lack of a remote an issue, but I find just the opposite. It's great not to have to use a remote to get basic functions working! Besides, one of the other Internet radios I own requires a remote, and the remote is very intermittent.

Grace Digital Wireless Internet Radio
I got the Grace Wifi Radio a couple of days ago, knowing it to be imperfect, as it seems the majority of internet radios are. I'm not too picky about my electronics, but this radio manages to irk me on several fronts.

Firstly, it takes a full minute and 45 seconds to connect to the network every time you turn it on or bring it out of standby.

Secondly, the idea that this is a "clock" or "alarm" radio is laughable. I imagine the manufacturers must know this, as the packaging and other manufacturer-supplied information don't include the words "clock" or "alarm".

But its "alarm feature" is so ridiculous I can't imagine why they even bothered. You see, if you set the alarm to go off at a certain time, what will happen is that the radio will (silently) ask you if you'd like to turn the radio on. If, by some stretch of the imagination, you are alerted to this silent request, and tell the dull-witted thing to start fulfilling its internet-radio-playing function, you'll have to wait that requisite
