Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: works sometimes
Cons: have to reset a lot
The router itself seems to be fine on the secure network settings. However if you try to use smartwifi and the guest options, it will shut down after one day of use. I have been on the phone with Cisco day after day since I bought this two months ago. My daughter and granddaughter use the Wifi to do their school work. I finally gave up using the guest network and let them use my secure network. Holding my breath hoping it won't shut down. Cisco has not been able to help and I am still waiting for a return call that I was supposed to get yesterday from their Senior Tech who supposedly knows how to solve the smartwifi problem and the guest network shutting down. Have to get the call first.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Easy set up. Guest network.
Cons: Nothing so far.
We had a very old (for wireless networking) Lynksis that needed rebooting pretty regularly. It wasn't clear whether it was the age of the router or the significant increase in wireless equipment (Blu-Rays, computers, tablets, TVs, printer), but it didn't matter. The existing system had been reliable for a long time and I like the network managing software, so I just chose another Lynksis.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Ok performance
Cons: Management is a nightmare
I bought this router to replace my WRGT54 to take advantage of the dual band. The hardware seems to have a lot of potential, but the manufacturer decided to ruin it with its diabolic "smart app". Be aware, at least when i bought it, that cisco will automatically update the firmware to the aforementioned "piece of c***p" online management software called "my cisco connect". The idea of remotely manage the router is great, but it needs a lot of work. it started working fine, but one day i found that i was not able to access the router, and you dont have any other way unless you disconnect the router from the network to access it. Here is the worst of all, the cisco support for this product is horrible. They were not able to figure out what was wrong, because the help is online using chat, otherwise you will have to use your credit card, you will be asked to reboot the router or disconect it from your modem. So guess what, you loose your troubleshooting session. Well, after two sessions with the technician, i figured out by my self what was wrong. for some unknow reason, the access password to my router was changed and the "smart app" was not able to access the router info. Once this was fixed, it seems that all worked ok. Well, no luck. Next day, when i was trying to make changes, i found that the pages on the smart app time out after you made a change, the router hangs and you need to reboot it Nice!!. So, i am ready to invest my money in another router and just take this buy as a loss, cisco will not replace it or refund the money for this piece of engineering failure. Guess what, you can always go back to the original firmware, which is now an option, but you will not received more updates, isnt this Great!!!.
I guess if Cisco decides to get right of the "smart app" this could be a nice piece of hardware, but at the moment, i just recommend you to becarefull, you know what are you dealing with.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: works as expected, easy to configure
Cons: could use some front indicator lights
Bought two of these recently, had them both set up and covering the office in 20 minutes. I have them set up with one SSID on both of the 2.4Ghz and a different one on both of the 5Ghz. Roaming works great with the Macs and cell phones we've tried.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Easy to set up
Cons: Signal is weaker than comparable routers
Router is set up on main floor of a two story home in a central location. We replaced a Linksys Wireless-G router that could no longer keep up with our network demands and hardware upgrades. It was very easy to install, and connecting our devices to the network was hassle free. We've been using it for over a month and have never had to reset the router, which was a daily task with our old wireless-g router. The signal is fine at 25 ft. but gets pretty weak beyond 60 ft.. I've had no connectivity issues for the iMac and Wii located on the second floor or in checking the game scores on my iPhone from the garage. I would say that it is adequate for our needs and a good value, all things considered.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Signal strength and ease of use
Cons: probably didnt need gigabit port
Bought to set up wireless network in a home with 3 other guys. Really easy to set up and no problems with 4 laptops surfing the net at once. Also have 3 gaming systems hooked up with no trouble.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Set-Up, Securing both wireless channels, & isolation of both channels
Cons: n/a
I bought this unit so that I could have isolation between my wi-fi connections. I currently use one connection for my personal / professional use and the other for entertainment (Roku box & PS3). I haven't noticed any lag in upload or download speeds and it is password protected, which is super awesome!

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Compact design with OUT a lot of lights
Cons: Gets very hot
This router works great, its fast, even with a lot of devices connected. I have had, 2 laptops, Apple TV, ipad, multiple ipods, connected at the same time, some streaming videos without any problems. My only concern is that the device gets very hot. No issues yet, but Im monitoring to see if it will eventually burn out or over heat.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Simple setup and management
Cons: Indicator lights are all on back of unit
I bought this router to replace an aging Linksys router that was giving me issues. Setup with the included CD was fairly straightforward and everything was working great right out of the box.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Easy to use, dependable
Cons: nothing
I have used the predecessor of this router for quite a few years in several locations and never had a moment of trouble. Very intuitive interface. A solid piece of necessary equipment.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: easy to install, small profile
Cons: weak signal, dual band not actually useable if no computers that can use that band
Bought this router because of one dead spot in a fairly large house that our old generic G router wasn't transmitting to. In the 'dead spot' signal strength was falling to about 30% and surfing was terribly slow.
Decided to buy an N router to help mitigate this and thought the second band might help with interference with all the kitchen equipment #inluding 2.4GHz phone# between the router and the back room. Installing the router was fairly easy, but once up...the signal was even weaker in the dead room. The cable guy measured it at about 19%!! and this after twice what I'd paid for the old router. Since the router didn't do what I needed it to, I returned it and reinstalled my old router. I now have a wire running from the old router to the dead room.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: price and speed
Cons: set up complicated
May have gotten one with a true hardware problem... had to return it to the store.. I've installed many Cisco routers in our home over the years and this was first major problem .. Swithched to a net gear.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Many things
It wouldn't work with my modem from Comcast. I had to use some specialty firmware in order for it to communicate. With that firmware you have to be connected to the internet to make router adjustments, or you have to unhook it from the modem, then connect.
When it loses connectivity it can take up to an hour for it to come back, unlike most routers where it takes seconds. It would lose the internet connection at least twice a day. This thing was nothing but headaches for the week I had it.

Linksys EA2700 App-Enabled N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Gigabit
Pros: Ease of setup
Cons: No place for external antennae
When I upgraded my cable modem, I wanted to be sure my network speeds were optimal, meaning I needed a Gigabit Ethernet Router. Of course, I also want Wireless N WiFi. For the price, this fit that bill and then some. Easy to set up, fast, no problem on my home network.
