Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Lots of speed, had a little bit of a problem setting it up since I own a MacBook Air and couldn't use the set up disc, downloading the software didn't work, so then just used my wife's PC with the disc and everything worked great.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: Stability, ease of use, ease of set up
Cons: nothing
I have always been a cisco/linksys user. I decided to upgrade my router to a premium top of the line router. I then decided to go with a netgear router for a change, so I bought thier flagship router. Within a week of buying, I was no longer getting a signal on the N band of the router so I called Tech support. After about an hour of resetting and unplugging, they said they would call me back later. Well not believing what I just heard, I took the router back and got the linksys. Needless to say, this router rocks! Easy to set up, very stable and I love the online managment and use of my smart phone to control the router. Oh yeah- I never got a call back from Netgear, but I did get an online survey asking how they did! I told them that they never returned my call, so guess what- after 2 weeks, they called me back to get me set up. It was alot of fun telling them that I took the router back 2 weeks ago and got a cisco- I never should have switched in the first place. Get this router, you wont be disappointed. Plus it runs much cooler than the netgear.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: It works
Cons: few setting issues with xBox 360 up front
It works, as would be expected for a device costing over $100... wireless hasn't dropped in the house and I normally have 4+ devises running at once to include streaming music or video depending on what I want for background noise.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: Installation was a breeze
It was much easier to install than other routers I've had. The fact that it has the potential to enhance the new smart TV we're planning on getting was a great draw.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: iPad/iPhone apps to control it
Cons: Hard to set up for older printers, NAS units and other peripherals
This is my 3rd Linksys wireless router and will probably be my last. It was much more expensive than I expected but was highly recommended by the salesperson for the coverage strength and speed. However, my older laser printer which was attached to the previous router by ethernet cable could not be connected except by USB cable. I was able to connect the USB cable, but the router did not recognize the printer because its basically geared to be connected to a "wireless" printer. When I called Tech Support and asked for assistance, I was told that it was "beyond the expertise" of the tech support. I finally got it connected, but it was a pain in the rear to do. The program says that my network attached storage unit is connected, but I still cannot access the unit and I cannot connect it by USB because there is only one USB port and its being used by the printer. Unless you are buying a completely new system and wireless printer to replace older peripherals, I would seriously consider another router!

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
When I initially set this up, it was like many other home routers. I could access the web interface and navigate with ease. Then came the cisco could manager. I do not like this for many reasons the main one being I do not like having the ability to configure my router with basic menus taken away. The user interface is great for normal home users and will fit the bill. I am still having issues with the cloud connect also losing the ability to see my external hard drive which was working prior to the upgrade. So for the expert home networker I would use a different router and for the normal home users you will get an excellent router for the price.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Directions for initial installation were lacking
It just works. This would seem to be understood but I gave up on another product after several calls to tech support and returned it then went with the Linksys. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but after getting it set up I am extremely happy with this purchase. No trouble at all even with advanced features such as DDNS and port forwarding. The extra money for a quality product was well worth it.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: Easy to set up
Cons: Overall poor functionality
I bought this router to take advantage of the customization features such as parental controls. Unfortunately, the basic functionality of the router was so poor that I wasn't able to take advantage of the advanced feature set. The signal strength was so poor that throughput slowed to around 1Mbps on the download. My internet service is 40 Mbps which is actually achieved often. Some of you might be thinking that the router was in another room. No, I had a clear line of sight to the router only 10 feet away. I would not recommend this router at any price.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: nothing for me
Cons: If you use any custom settings, it fails
Cisco has made a mess of Linksys. I'm an IT Director and I've configured several routers/firewalls for both business and personal use. This router is junk unless you plan to take it out of the box and plug it in, with no custom settings at all. If you attempt to do any custom changes, like MAC filtering, Wireless security features (not turned on out of the box), or open ports for security video, etc, you will spend hours messing with it. I can normally configure one of these in a few minutes, this one took 4 hours and it would still not funciton as it should. I checked the Cisco forums and several people had troubles with this router. I took it back to BestBuy where they were happy to refund my money (thanks BestBuy!). I purchased the Netgear N900 from BestBuy and it worked perfectlyl. I setup the Netgear in 20 minutes, including all of my custom settings. Read the forums before you try any Cisco product out, or just save yourself some time and pain, and buy the Netgear.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: Signal strength and easy of configuration use. USB port
Been using Linksys for years. This router is the top of their line for home use. Needed the USB port for a printer. Can use cloud service. Signal strength is great and can pick up INET from any TV in the house.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: it works
Cons: does-'t work any better than a router costing a third of what i paid for this one.
I paid 170 dollars for this router, thinking that 2 computers on line at the same time would be faster than the cheaper router it replaced. I see no difference between this one and the cheaper one that it replaced.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: It was very easy to use
Cons: The range was terrible
I bought this to replace a previous linksys. I found that the range was not very good. It was very easy to set up and the app was easy to use as well. Because of Best buys great return policy I took it back for a different router.

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
I purchased this router because we needed more bandwidth to support simultaneous on-line gaming and streaming videos from Netflix. This unit ROCKS!! Very good bandwidth with settings for optimizing gaming, etc. I also purchased a range extender for the downstairs. Sure, this setup is a little bit of money but worth every penny with extraordinary results!

Linksys EA4500 Smart Wi-Fi N900 Router with Gigabit & USB
Pros: very stable; does not need to be restarted; good area coverage
Cons: NA
This was bought as a replacement for another router (Linksys) which was ok, but needed periodically to be restarted. The area coverage for this router is pretty good. I haven't used it yet, but I like the USB port attached to it.
