Definitely a quality setup at a great price. My only complaint is the small wire size for the satellites. The sub is a beast so make sure you have room for it.
excellent output for the price. coordinates well with pioneer elite 7.1 receiver. excellent quality with minimal impact. compact speakers sound great and mount easily. recommend for the price and the quality for a complete speaker package.
The speakers have a great sound > sharp and clear. I have owned Bose in the past. The difference in price is great! If you did not know it, you would swear you are listing to Bose speakers!
Installation was pretty straight forward. The connection of the subwoffer to the receiver was a little difficult but other than that there were little hiccups
This speaker give of an impressive sound quality, you find in higher priced systems. A good amplifier it a most have for this speakers or you will not enjoy the full range of sound.
I bought this system the other day and got it al installed this last weekend. I think the speakers sound very good. THe size is hard to tell in the pic but they are a little bigger than i expected but they mounted up nice so no complaints. I have them paired with Sony STRDG720 receiver and i havent done the auto cal yet but they already sound great. The sub can rattle the walls and the surround sound is very nice. A big upgrade for froma a very cheap system. Would definetly recommend to others.
I bought these speakers to go with my onkyo sr-606 receiver and I am amazed at how great they sound. This system is a serious upgrade from my samsung HTIB system. These speakers have incredible hi's mid's and lo's and the 230w sub really thumps, you can even adjust the bass level with a knob in the back. I would recommend these speakers to anyone. The only drawback is the size. I had no idea how big they were going to be,but I guess if you want big sound you've got to have big speakers.
I read a CNET review that stated that these were more stylish than the less expensive SKS-HT540, but that the SKS-HT540 had better sound.
"the Onkyo SKS-HT540 sounds a little better, but its speakers are a lot bigger and nowhere as attractive"
I figured I'd like the more attractive speakers. I'd say in this case that looks aren't everything.
While the bass is quite impressive, the mids were missing altogether and the highs were a bit flat, especially from the center channel.
My Onkyo TX-SR604 receiver automatically calibrates the speaker setting via it's Audyssey 2EQ calibration system, which I've used with great success with other speaker systems, so I know it isn't receiver setup.
I have to admit that I may be expecting too much from speakers in this price range.
One final very minor gripe, the speaker wires included are pathetically thin. I certainly don't buy into the hype of bigger speaker wires equals better sound, but just from a material stand point the wires are pretty sad.
I'm going to try function over form and give the less expensive SKS-HT540 a try.

I am very happy with these speakers. I have them connected to an Onkyo TX-SR750 receiver and they have been excellent. Running a Samsung LN-46A750 46-Inch 1080p and a good progressive scan 1080p upscaling DVD player.
They were easy to mount on the wall, on the front of the fireplace. They come with completely color coded wires (matching the Onkyo specs), and it is very easy to put them together. I like the sleek look as well.
As far as performance goes, they are excellent. I'm not an audiophile, but the streaming audio from my media center, and from the DVDs is excellent. Perfect addition to my home theatre without breaking the bank.

These speakers are great for my mini media room (former office). They have enough juice to give great sound. These speakers are too small for a large media room.

I bought this set for an Onkyo SR805 receiver to set up a new home theater. I originally bought these to "get started" and eventually upgrade; but these sound great and I don't see me buying anything else soon. These were a great buy and worth the money, I think the receiver makes the difference.
These speakers are very nice. I am a beginner as far as home stereo goes. They sound fantastic to me. I have them connected to an Onkyo 506 receiver. The only drawback I have noticed is that they are BIG. If you are looking for some small speakers to not be so noticeable on the wall, then these are not for you. Delivery was right on time and ordering was a snap.
This speaker system produces big sound for a low price. Teamed with the Yamaha 663 receiver it sounds as good or better than as some systems that cost much much more..

First test for the surround was the movie 300 on Blue Ray, sound quality was as good as in the theater!!

Cd playback is equally impressive, extreme clarity when listing to jazz and plenty of punch and low end for those who like loud rock and roll.

For the price you will not do better.
