This router replaces a Netgear super g one and although I did not need the sophistication found in the SMC, could not get the Netgear 624 to operate with the SMC "N" card in spite of spending hours on phone with tech service.
Other cards would work with the Netgear router in "G" mode but not the combination that I had
Just a hardware quirk I guess, and the SMC card and router are working just fine.
More router than I require and does not have the wireless printer option, but I do not use wireless printing anyway.
