Since my Nintendo gamecube broke a couple years ago I've been sadly systemless, missing out on all the cool games coming out and feeling out of place when my friends talk about how awesome they are at Guitar Hero. I never really cared too much to tell the truth, but sometimes when I have nothing to do I just want to sit down and shoot some zombies or steal a car or something (in a video game, not real life mind you).
Then, on the fourth of July I went over to a friend's house and played Rock Band for the first time. Of course I'd played Guitar Hero before this but I always hated the guitar. It's too small and the buttons have too much space between them. But Rock Band was completely different. You don't have to go solo all the time, you can have an actual BAND complete with drums and vocals and, if you have an extra guitar controller, a bass. My friends and I played that game all night long, and when I went home I stopped by Wal-Mart and bought an X-Box 360 just so I could play Rock Band

The game is a blast but the guitar it came with is awful. We use our guitar hero guitar. The buttons on the rock band guitar stick very badly.
Also, the bass pedal for the drums broke within the second week! I've heard from other people that this is pretty big problem. The game is fun but I would wait until the company gets the kinks with the instruments worked out.

Love it! Great for all ages! My kids range from 4yrs to 19yrs old and even I like to plaw with the Rock Band instruments. Pros, Keeps kids off of the couch, and gets them moving and shakin'! Great buy, no cons that I can think of!
