I have to say I'm always a little suspicious with regard to refurbished items, but no longer. I am extremely pleased with the functions and capabilities of the camera. The only issue is the wide angle could be a little better. The zoom is outstanding, the camera size fits in the palm of your hand so you are not toting around a bag with all kinds of accessories. You can wip the camera out and be shooting in seconds. I got it the night before vacation and with a 1/2 hour of reviewing the manual I was up and running. Video pictures and sound are great, especially in TV-Hq mode.

This is my first video camera purchase and I am very satisfied overall. Although refurbished, it has performed well beyond my expectations. I have taped several events and have not been disappointed. Afterwards, I just plug-in to a TV and let my folks view my video. They're impressed with the quality of the picture and the audio; the microphone picks up everything! I really like that it is compact and fits in a pocket or purse. The biggest plus is that it saves to a memory card, so I don't have to have cartridges or dvds to carry or store. I'm still learning my camera, but so far it is my little jewel. My little grannycam...simply wonderful! The only thing that I can advise is to purchase an additional battery.

This was a good purchase, I bought if refurbished but everything was fine. I was a little nervous about buying the refurb but had a good experience. I had difficulty with the software in burning to CD but the rest of the features and use of the camera was easy. Nice buy for the money, I liked how small and light it was, easy to carry for travel

This is a small camcorder, light, mobile, and takes good film. Not a professional recorder. Good for hiking, snowboarding, and events were you cant have a large bag/purse to pack a larger device in.

I actually bought this camera because of the high reviews it was given by overstock customers. I wanted a smal video camera to capture my daughters dance competitions and this camera has really WOWED me. The video quality is great and the pictures are sooo clear and truly beautiful. You will not be dissapointed !!!

How many times do you leave your camcorder home because it is so big, or you need to charge the battery? Now I carry this with me and have gotten amazing videos. It is smaller then my regular digital camera. I would highly recommend. Easy to use. Great image quality.

I purchased this "reconditioned" digital camcorder and hoped it would be as useful as it was touted in the "O"
ads. It arrived in very good condition. Looked like new (on the inside of the box). I knew not to expect a perfect
display box when something is reboxed/reconditioned from previous purchases of reboxed merchandise. The most
important thing is that the item looks like new, works like new and all of the materials are included - and this was the case, I'm happy to say !
I placed the battery and SD card in this little wonder, turned it on and the bright LCD view screen lit up and looked sharp.
I then videoed my greyhounds running around in the backyard and took a few stills during the video taping. It worked perfectly.
This tiny digital camcorder works well as both a still camera or video and fits in my pocket. The shape is a bit different though - a vertical design
with the lens at the top. My wife has a compact (name brand) digital camera with MPEG 4 capibilities which matches the

I love having this little camera in my purse so I can use it whenever something is worth being recorded. I even started my own family blog with all the little viniettes I've recorded around the house. My family is scattered across the country so they can just log and see us! The photos are great. The video tends to look a little overexposed in outdoor bright light, but I'm trying to figure out how to fix that. Even if I can't, it's fun video to have and it's way better the old super 8!

I hate to be the one to give this little guy the bad review, but unfortunately I am. I really think that I just lucked out and got the bad apple of the whole bunch. This would have been a really great camcorder, its super small, fits in your pocket. Has voice features, nice zoom, takes great still pictures. But with mine, when I went to record something I noticed that there where two little blue dots at the bottom of the LCD screen, I thought that maybe this was just dead pixels on the LCD screen so it wouldn't be that bad to deal with it. But when I played it back I realized that the camcorder actually recorder the little blue dots onto the film itself! I changed the settings hoping I could get rid of the blue dots but I could not. I think that unfortunately this happened because I bought a "Refurbished" model, meaning someone els returned it, for whatever reason. Refurbished is the only model that over stock offers with this camcorder, so just be careful when buying refurbished models

I purchased this little camcorder to replace a slightly older, bulky one so I could have something to keep in my purse. Wish I'd done it sooner! I have had and used it for about a month. Easy to operate and great shots in dim lighting (a problem I encountered with a couple of other lower-quality, compact camcorders I purchased--for about the same price as this one, though!). Easily comparable quality to more expensive cameras. I agree with another reviewer that I was skeptical about "refurbished" and a little freaked out when I received the box and it was a bit banged up but everything inside was intact and included everything...software, battery charger, USB cable...I LOVE this thing!

I'm a filmmaker, and although I wouldn't dream of making a feature movie with the Sanyo VPCG6 Xacti, for everything else it's great. Takes great photos, and great video's to pop onto youtube. My only complaint is that the battery status icon is hidden in the photo editing screen. The camera fits in your pocket and is wonderful for capturing the moment.

It is TINY with TONS of features! Overstock forgot to put the "included SD card" in with it, but luckily, I had purchased an extra one. I'm sure they will send it soon-

About a year ago I had a Stroke and I do not have full use or control of my right side(hand) I found that I could not use my old camera, then I got this camera and I love it I can hold and control it one handed(lift hand) with on problem at all.

This camera is so incredible that I'm honestly not sure what to say about it.
The video quality is amazing. Most of its 'auto' features do an excellent job although if you're not pleased with it, the camera has far more options for adjusting video settings than you'd expect for such a low-cost camera.
The still photos are also very nice. They're usually nice and crisp but they can suffer in strange lighting conditions.
The video portion of the camera does a great job in low light and natural light. It sometimes comes out a little grainy in low artificial light but that's something that can typically be worked out by adjusting the settings.
Everything about this camera is incredible. The quality is nothing less than comparable to my friend's $800 Sony harddrive camera.
They could improve it with IR night shot, mic-in jack, and camera light but for what its got, it stands out fantastically.

I know that manufacturers like to hype-up their products and make them sound better than they really are. In the past 7 years I have been through 3 mid-range digital cameras (in the $300 range) and not one of them delivered as promised. But this is not the case with the Sanyo Xacti CG6. It does everything that Sanyo says it will. I am so impressed with this little powerhouse that I will never buy any other brand in the future. It's Xacti all the way for me.

This is a good little camcorder. If you have large hands, as do I, you will find the navigation akward but not difficult to manuever. It is great for uploading to the web or use as a web cam. The 4GB SD card has plenty of storage for all your ecorgings up to 4 hours. I do recommend this recorder.

What a camera! I purchased a "refurbished" model - -and was a bit concerned at first -but this camera is amazing - it's small, compact and produces great picture quality. We took this to disneyland and was able to tuck it into our jeans pocket when not in use - Love the camera and convenience. For an intermediate photographer it does quite well! I would highly recommend this product!

I have a mini camcorder and use it for major vacations. This camcorder is small and allow me to capture moments that I would miss with the larger bulky one. You can take video or still pictures and works wonderfully for those moments where you wouldn't normally have a camcorder at all!

I received my product very quickly. THe packaging was good, but the factory box that the camera came in was in very bad shape. It scared me at first, but after opened it and made sure everything inside the box was operational and in good condition, I was really happy with it. The camera is alot smaller than I thought, which is a very good thing. It is a Christmas gift and I couldn't be happier.
