OK, well over all this is not a bad product , but it dose have some very annoying aspects.
The unit doesn't come with a mains charger, so you need to connect it to a computer to charge , this wouldn't seem like a show stopper , However , every time you connect it to a computer (Charging), it goes into USB mode.
It still doesn't seem like a problem dose it , BUT , when you remove the USB cable ,It re-catalogues all your books !!,
So you get stuck watching a pretty little cursor go round and round in the middle of the screen , and you can't do anything till it finishes. And It's Slloooowww, Putting a large amount of books on an 8Gig memory card and it becomes impossible to use the device. Takes so long to make the catalogue , by the time it's finished you need to charge it again, I'm not kidding , only with (approx 3,000) books at 1gig on a memory stick takes close to 2 hours to catalogue, You don't even need to add or remove a book, just connecting it for charging

I've had mine for several months now. I was attracted to this product as I'm in the military and constantly deployed, and simply can't physically carry around as many books as I'd like. The good: The screen IS paper-like, very easy to read, and has three fixed levels of magnification. There is some issue with awkward text wrapping at the largest magnification however. The unit takes up to a 2 MB memory card, which is literally several hundred full length books. As the memory cards can be hot-swapped, you could theoretically carry the Library of Congress around in your shirt pocket. The software remembers where you left off; you can add electronic bookmarks, and the batteries last a long time. The files are small, and downloading content is relatively painless. Like the iPod however, there are limits as to how many computers and how many books can use downloaded Sony content. The bad: Neither Sony nor B&H has the A/C charger in stock. I tried plugging the USB cable into my iPod charger's

I have had this unit for a week now and I think it isfantastic. The display is very eye - friendly and isreadable wherever paper is readable. I really dont haveanything bad to say about the unit. However someimprovements would be nice: 1) Most Pdf files are next toimpossible to read on the reader as the font does notenlarge enough. 2) A dictionary would be nice 3) Better wordwrapping at different font sizes. But overall I am chuffed to bits with this Item.
