quality product

Gave our 14-year-old daughter this docking station for early Christmas present and it is nice. Setup and operation must be simple because she's never asked a single question. Sound quality is great - better than any boom box we purchased for her in the past. A little pricey for a docking station and fm radio compared to all the ipod products out there but I have no knowledge of their quality. This station does have a remote which is obviously handy for laying around in bed while playing your Zen that sits on your dresser. She controls all sound functions plus can search her play list with it. $170 was more than I thought I'd have to pay but there are few choices for the Zen mp3 players. I am happy with the sound and quality of the product though.

Playdock for Zen

Amazon delivered the unit two days early even with the free shipping. The more I deal with Amazon, the happier I am with them. The sound out of this little unit is fabulous for it's size. I have a 1500 sq ft deck and this little guy will fill it with rich sound. I have been using wireless speakers from my home sound system until I got the playdock. It's functionality is everthing I wanted except that the FM antena doesn't work with the 30gb model of the Creative Zen M. I did read that on some of the reviews but then at least one review said that it did work. If anyone knows how to make it work that would be wonderful.

At first, I was unimpressed with the sound output on this stereo. However, I soon discovered that this was because the bass wheel (near the bottom of the back of the stereo) was turned completely off, and the sound amplifier (next to the 'on' button) was also off. Adjusting both of these made an UNBELIEVABLE difference!

I can't believe that I don't have to deal with CD's anymore! My music is completely digital (and therefore safe), and now I can listen to all of the songs (on playlists, albums, by artist, etc.) on this wonderful stereo. The design is very modern, minimalist, and aesthetically pleasing, and it also provides the extremely convenient service of charging your Zen player WHILE it plays music! I don't think I will ever use my wall-charger again!

Some people may find its size displeasing: it IS a bit small (a few inches over a foot long), but the sound quality is so good that I don't see this as a deterring factor. I could not be more pleased with this product.
