Griffin iTrip Auto for Sansa FM Transmitter-ITRIP AUTO SANSA FM TRANSMITTERACCSE200 C200 MP3S PLAY THRU
I tried this transmitter everywhere and I constantly have to move it around to try and stop the static, no matter where I plug it in on the boat or car, the quality of sound is horrible even after going through each channel...... very frusterating not worth the money :-(

I quite like my Griffin iTrip for Sansa products. The sound quality is pretty good (I live in a city so there's bound to be a little static, but not much) and it is incredibly easy to use. When I was traveling around in less populated areas the sound quality was crystal clear. I've used Belkin products like this before and I think this Griffin transmitter is much much easier to use. I also like being able to tune to any station between 88.1 and 107 - makes it very easy to adjust stations without pausing the music. Overall a very good product for what it is.

I bought this item several months ago and have been very pleased with its performance. I live in San Diego and travel to the Los Angeles area occasionally. There are almost no open channels on the FM radio band in this area and I still get good results with the griffin cable. I have had two other FM transmitters for my assorted mp3 players over the years and the griffin has worked the best. Also, I really like being able to charge the sansa and play music with a *single* cable. I would buy this cable again. I plan on taking it to Europe with me in a few months to see how it does there. One of my old transmitter had some problems in populated areas (I was in Spain at the time).

This is an excellent way to listen to your Sansa View (any other Sansa products) through your car FM radio. The product has been easy to configure to the local radio spectrum. I have all four presets so I never run into cross interferance. Because it plugs into the cigarette lighter - I never need worry about batteries. I great aide to this product is the web site [...] which will tell you where the "gaps" in the radio spectrum are for a given zip code. (It also lists all local radio stations.)

Bought this to listen to audio books and music on a 500 mile road trip, completely disappointed. Even in a rural area when selecting the center of 3 clear frequencies the signal was weak and distorted. The unit adds a strong background hiss to whatever you are trying to listen to. Particularly bad with music. What a waste.

Hard to find an empty FM Station these days, especially on a road trip.
Traveling through states I have to fumble to find another empty FM station. I get a lot of static, sound quality is poor, some songs comes in great while others you have to crank the volume just to hear it, which then causes the next song to blare. I am constantly playing with the tuner, then the iTrip tuner to sync and/or the volume in the car, not a safe thing to do when driving, I ended up giving up (unless I have a passenger) and went back to my CDs.

At first, all we heard was dead air. Not static, just dead air. So I had a feeling it was the player and not the transmitter. I checked SanDisk's website and found the firmware wasn't up to date. So after a firmware update, the device worked flawlessly. Pick an empty station and play to your heart's content! Charging it at the same time....makes it all worth it.
