7 Digital Pic Frame w/remote
Pros:
- Low price
- Includes a remote control.
- Accepts a number of memory cards. Has USB for flash thumbrdrives (don't tell me you don't have one)
- Play mp3 music for slideshow presentation
- You can adjust the time how long you want to view each picture on a slideshow

Cons:
- Not a pretty interface
- You may need to edit most of your pics to brighten them to make it acceptable for viewing
- Can't see the pics if you change your viewing angle
- Low resolution. Pics looks muddy.

The deal killer is the picture quality. Nice gift but won't buy it for myself.

This display frame looks great, problems with it are a killer for it though. It has a very poor manual which doesn't explain how to operate it, select its options or even how to get into the menus. When you find out how to get into the menus, you will find that the selections are very limited. I tried to upload pics from my computer to it with the included USB extension, it froze my computer every time. I went to their web site looking for some support, there was a FAQ which had the same stuff that was in the manual and only about 8 questions, no help, no support, no place for further instructions. I then went with a small card for my camera to upload pics, that went well except I had no idea how much memory I had left to load any more pics, or music. There is no monitor on memory usage.
This unit has only two options for viewing the pics, original and optimal. The original option leaves your pics displaying black lines on the sides and a loss of screen coverage of about 1/5th of the screen.

7 Digital Pic Frame w/remote
I have purchased 4 of these 7" frames over the span of a year. Out of those four, two were defective (one failed to turn on and the other couldn't read the contents of my SD card).

As an Electronics Engineer I purchased this frame because of the features (built-in memory, USB connection and support of two different memory cards) and the good price. This product proves once again that you get what you pay for.

The USB connection is real flaky. The product advertises that it can be connected to a PC with Win2k/XP and be viewed as external memory. That is simply not the case. Out of the 4 frames I purchased, only one was able to connect to either of my PC's (one with 2k and the other with XP).

Since I was unable to connect my PC to the remaining 3 frames, I thought that I would transfer the pics from the SD card to the internal memory. One of the 4 frames was not able to read the contents of my SD card.

The PanDigital "Support" is a joke. They have a "Download" link, but it isn't active
