This is my 3rd Aluratek frame and I absolutely love it. I bought a 7" for my office, a 10.5" for my wife, and now this 11" for my mother in law. I became a loyal customer when I lost my remote on my 7" frame 5months ago and called their tech support. They replaced my remote for absolutely free provided I send them a postage paid envelope! Now that is service!!!!
I've done alot of research on frames and at this price point and the pros are:
1) Resolution is 800 x 480 which is pretty much the highest out there in the market for this price range and size
2) Brightness and Contrast can be adjusted
3) Slideshow feature that allows you to view 4 smaller pics simultaneously
4) Very solid wood frame
5) Comes with 1GB SD (holds more images & mp3s than I need)
6) Allows you to zoom a pic to fill the entire screen
7) On/Off timer, this is a must have feature!
8) Calendar
Here are some cons:
1) 16:9 aspect ratio - but again, you can fill the screen by touch of a button on the remote
2)

As many others have done, I researched tons before buying this frame.
> Con: I was only able to load about 12 photos before the frame crapped out. It stopped copying photos completely (and yes, I am more than computer literate!)
> Con: You can't shuffle photos (is there any frame that does?!)
> Con: Frame was an obvious return to Amazon. This may be part of my problem, but I've been burned 3x's now on these stupid frames (Polaroid and Brookstone both had problems too) and if it weren't for the fact that this was a promised x-mas present for dad, I would give up!
> Pros: yes, there are pros but what's the point when you can't get the photos to copy into the frame!

The large screen and the resolution of the Aluratek 11-inch digital frame is one of the best out in the market for this price range so I gave this a 3 star. However, I expected it to come with an onboard 1GB internal memory but there is no onboard internal storage at all. Instead, it comes with a 1GB SD card which you can leave in the SD slot. Since the SD card that comes with it will take up the only SD slot available, there is no way you can transfer images from your own SD card without doing so through a computer. Actually, the only memory card to memory card transfer that you can do with this frame is from a Compact Flash card and even then, the transfer process is annoying because you have to do it one image at a time. Also, you have to manipulate images using your computer or camera first to correct any image orientation that looks "sideways". Menus can only be controlled through the remote that comes with it. The slideshow cannot be sorted or grouped without manipulating the

I purchased one of these units about 6 weeks ago. The picture is sharp, easy setup, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. My kids managed to damage the remote control this weekend, and when I called Aluratek to purchase a new remote, they kindly offered to send me one for free. Now that's customer service. Highly recommend

Purchased from antonline and arrived with screws loose and some minor scraches in an original box open and damaged, with no protection on the botton of the package. Email the seller througt amazon asking advice because those screws makes difficult to star on the frame: no answer yet.
When I make it work the digital frame have a wonderful image and easy features. Looks like only works with a memory card inserted.
Thinking to sended back, but it is not an easy solution for me.
I rate the digital photo frame 4.5 plus, but my rate for antonline is poor.

The Aluratek 11 in. Digital Photo Frame is the best I've seen so far. With 1GB of Internal Memory, there is plenty of room for PICS and Music. The 1024x786 Resolution is great. The PICS I put in the frame look outstanding. I have an imac and it was just drag and drop from iphoto. I paid $208 from Ritz Camera. What a bargain. If you are looking for a Dig. Photo Frame, take a look at this one. I don't think you'll find a better frame for the money.
