I've just had the worst experience I have ever had with tech support for any company I have ever dealt with. I bought an In-Home service plan, which HP support "couldn't find". So my computer was not working for 2 months when I had paid for a plan that guaranteed service within 3 business days. I've taken this all the way to the CEO...answer: Too bad, we're sorry but we cannot compensate you in any way. DON'T EVER BUY AN HP SERVICE PLAN...BETTER YET DON'T BUY HP PRODUCTS PERIOD!

This is an EXCELLENT computer! This wasn't available through Amazon at the time I bought this....purchased at retail store. People, please put a video card in it!!! Of course the on board graphics is not stellar! Many gamers have concerns about power supply unit.....so let me tell you how I've upgraded mine. It comes with a Lite-On 300 watt PSU with maximum 19 amps on the +12volt rail. I have not touched this beautiful PSU as it is more than adequate for my needs!!! Yes, more than adequate for a good gaming card!....see below.
This is what I have added:
1)Linksys Wireless G card
2)Evga 8800GS 384 MB Card (Have even overclocked this to 693 core/1052 memory to see if PSU could handle it...no hiccups at all through stability tests, etc...)
3)LG Super Multi Blue Drive Blu-Ray Writer & HD-DVD Rom (Writes EVERYTHING but the now outdated HD-DVD's)
Did I mention it runs flawlessly?! I LOVE IT!!!
P.S. If it's in your budget, dont forget to pick up a Doublesight DS-263N Monitor from

I admit it's a powerful PC with great price. However, I had flickering screen on my monitor. Amazon helped to exchange twice for me, both PC gave me the same problem. Is it me the luckest one? I finally return this PC and purchase a XPS from dell... I have software issues with XPS, but no more flickering screen.
BTW, Amazon's great at customer service. Can't imagine if I brought this PC somewhere else.

I unfortunately am stuck with the HP M8200n. I initially purchased the HP M8200n for a Christmas Present. Upon setting up the Computer I started hearing a slow clicking sound coming from the computer in the first week. Then upon shutting down & restarting the computer it ran a self diagnostic & found a series of multiple errors. So I had to try & reach a technical support technicition. After multiple phone calls & hangups by automated switching I finally got through to a technicition. I am talking more than an hour here on the phone. The tech walked me through a series of tests & told me I had a failed hard drive. In the first week of operation.
So I had the option to wait 5 days for a hard drive by snail mail or to return the computer. Staples took it back instantly & exchanged it for another. [ Keep in mind I spent several hours setting up the first computer & waisting limited usage of software like Pinnicle & Microsoft Office ( 3 uses ). ]
NOTE: They still sent the Hard

I've had this computer exactly 1 month to the day and already had to call HP 3 times. The computer goes into sleep mode and will not come out. All power must be removed and the computer literally has to be reconnected all over again. There seems to be a problem with Vista and the Sleep Mode function. HP tells me it's a wide spread problem and a patch/fix is due out in the next month or so to correct the problem. Since it's my understanding from HP that it's not limited to this particular model, had I known what I know now, I would have waited until the issue was resolved before purchasing a new computer. If you can hold off, that's what I would recommend.

I got this desktop couple weeks ago with a new 22' LCD monitor.
ISSUE 1- When I connected the two, the screen was flickering all over. All the drivers were properly installed and the settings were fine. So to figure out what the problem was, we tried the monitor with another desktop and the desktop with another monitor. Obviously, the DESKTOP created the flickers and the monitor was fine (pretty good actually). Then, we installed an average video card with a DVI output (Oh, this desktop does NOT have a DVI output, which is a shame), and the flickering was gone. So there was something wrong with the integrated video card. Well, it is indeed a very cheap video card. Getting another video card for the PCI-Express slot is also a PROBLEM due to the TV card that is sitting right next to it. That means, you have to choose a slim video card that doesn't have a heat sinker but instead has a fan and have to bear with the extra noise. You kinda have to do that because those with a heat sink basically
