I recently picked up this unit at overstock.com because my old MP3 player was need of replacing. I had a 10% coupon so it was a good time to buy one. The features this unit has is really great. Comes with the standard music, videos, pictures categories. It does come with a calender which you can sync through Microsoft and a contacts list also you can sync through Microsoft outlook. ITunes updated version to version 8 makes this a breeze to work with. I had a ton of music that I needed to transfer over and it was painless to do. I converted all my music to AAC which sounds better than MP3 and takes up less space. So far the battery time is the biggest thing that has improved on these units. The touch wheel does take some getting used to, but other than than I can't complain.
The only thing that I would say that needs to be improved is the price. The day after I purchased the unit, Apple came out with new IPOD's. The 160GB is no longer available new. It has been replaced by a 120GB unit.

I was a little cautious about ordering the i Pod after reading some of the negative reviews. But, it is the largest hard drive on the market and I need the storage room. So, I placed the order and crossed my fingers.
It works great. I am syncing it to an HP Vista Home Premium notebook with 3 megs of memory. Syncing is fast and accurate. The movies and TV shows look great. Sound quality is outstanding and the battery life is beyond any other MP3 player I have used.
In short, an outstanding product that delivers flawlessly.

When my 6GB iPod mini broke, i thought to myself that this was my excuse to upgrade to the latest and greatest iPod (160 GB). My old one worked great, and all my friends got either the 30GB or 80GB Gen 5.5 iPods and loved them as well. So, I figured it was a pretty safe purchase since Apple had established the iPod as a stable/ dependable product...
Well, i get the 160GB ipod in the mail(from Apple's website) and hook it up to my computer (XP SP2) and attempt to sync it and iTunes locks up after a few min. I put the latest firmware on the ipod (1.1.1), restore it and the same thing. So I use Apple's support site for the errors i am getting during the sync and none of them resolve the problem. Problems ranging from iTunes losing the iPod during the sync ("Cannot find drive F:"), to iTunes reporting a successful sync and the files not making to the iPod. And the issues seem random - sometimes I can sync and get upto 20GB of content onto the iPod before iTunes freezes, sometimes as
