Worked right out of the box!

I have had it just over a month and have had no problems with it reading all my cd and dvd formats. I have also used it to copy dvd's and burn cd's and so far I am very pleased with performance of this drive. The only thing I haven't tried is the lightscribe, so I can't say how well that works. There has been some complaints about this drive but I have not had any problems and didn't need to upgrade firmware as some people have. If you do have to update the firmware you really need to know what your doing, because if you make 1 mistake your drive will not work and you just waisted $40 to $45 dollars! I do however love this drive and it works good enough for me that I bought another asus burner (model # DRW-2014L1T) for my other computer. All in all it's a very good dvd burner.
