Pros: Build quality, frame smoothness, amazing 3D, BLACK blacks/beautiful colors
Cons: Weight, optical is your only option for audio out, only 3 HDMI inputs
I tend to be a very brand-loyal customer, so I almost caved in for either an LG or Samsung LED TV. However, something about this TV kept calling to me. Admittedly, out of the box, this display is a little dim. The Game or Vivid video preset should fix that easily (or you can customize the settings, to include intensity of background lighting). It excels in everything else, though. The blacks are just that -- black. The 3D looks awesome and smooth whether you're wearing the Panasonic-branded or less expensive (and universal!) Playstation 3D glasses. Tron 3D with this TV and a PS3 made my otherwise skeptical friend a firm believer in the entertainment value of 3D movies. I play Battlefield 3 on this set (both Xbox AND my PC), and it's beautiful. The smooth motion adds the extra depth to the scenery, making motion seem even more realistic/third-dimensional. Personally, I feel a 3.5mm or red/white RCA audio out would be nice to have and a fourth HDMI input would be appreciated, but now I'm being picky. Of note, though, is this set is HEAVY (it's a plasma; expect it) This is a high-quality set for a low price. You won't regret it.
