If your intention is to buy a PSP Slim 2000 for Wi-fi Internet surfing you will most likely be disappointed. The included browser is just not ready to handle Internet surfing as it should. However, the amount of features this cool gadget has more then makes up for the shady Internet surfing.
Besides, the common features already mentioned by other reviewers you can do some very cool things with the PSP!
1. You can set up a security camera for your home or business and utilize
the Location free system to get a live feed anywhere you can connect via
wi-fi via the PSP!
That right there is worth the price alone!
2. You can use the PSP as a GPS system for your car! The software has not
been officially released yet in the U.S but it's coming soon! ( GO! GPS )
3. You can use the PSP with GO! Messenger which is also on it's way to the U.S which will allow video chat, video voice mail and instant messaging via the PSP!
4. You can create your own .HTML portals and develop or gather applications

I'm sure most gamers have added this as their second or third PSP, but for me it's my first. I thought I'd make some suggestions for new users.
1. Before you do anything else, buy a memory stick, a Pro Duo. You can't do anything useful without it.
2. Buy a USB cable (5 pin mini). It doesn't come with one, and you'll need it to download stuff from your PC to the PSP.
3. Buy a protective case and screen protector. I bought a Joytron case and InvisibleShield. The Joytron fits perfectly on the slim.
4. Be careful when connecting the PSP to older computers. It's very powerful, and I overloaded the USB port on my older work computer when I tried to connect it.
5. When transferring music or video to the PSP, here's how you do it:
a. Plug in the PSP, and go to "USB Connection" in the menu
b. Wait for your computer to recognize it
c. Go into My Computer and look for the drive where the PSP is
d. Open the PSP
e. Look for the Music folder (or Video)
f. When moving music over, first create a folder

Pros:
+A Very Powerful Handheld Device
+Plays music, movies, and allows you to look at photos
+Browsing online is fun
+A lot of accessories available
+A Good Library of games has been slowly emerging and is increasing... fast
+Easy interface and control
+Very detailed screen and large
Cons:
-Online browsing isn't that much fun
-Can't organize a music library and UMDs aren't all that fun to watch, even on road trips
-The battery life isn't long lasting
-The screen is easily damaged
When the original PSP launched back in 2005, it eventually became subjected to heavy criticism. Not necessarily the console itself, but mostly that much of what it did, people didn't see the use for in a handheld system, and the fact that its library of games wasn't incredible. Nevertheless, the PSP has still shown itself to be a powerhouse of a console.
First and foremost, this review is not here to talk about the Nintendo DS. If you would like a review or comparison to the Nintendo DS, I highly suggest

This is a good price for the PSP bundle. However, it does not come with a PSP memory stick, so remember to purchase one as well. The Star Wars game is mediocre, unless you are a Star Wars fan who likes anything with Lucas' name attached to it. If this is your first PSP be aware that the nice screen is easily cracked from drops even minor ones! This will have you scurrying for a replacement screen or at worst an entirely new system! (I dropped mine on the first day owning it, and a minor crack appeared in the corner of the top right of the screen). Also, Sony does not warranty dropped PSPs; they will make you purchase a replacement screen and charge you(!) for installing it; or sell you a refurbished one. Nevertheless, if this happens there are plenty of sites on the web explaining how to repair your PSP!

As a frequent traveler the PSP is a great thing to have. You can use it to hold your music or videos or you can just play some of the great games that this system has to offer. The last handheld I owned was a Gameboy back when I was a kid, the original Gameboy too, just a large unit with a black and white screen, and I was blown away with the visual capabilities of the PSP.
The only bad things about it are it smudges pretty easy, as it is with most products with this type of screen, so buy screen protectors and after you buy the system you have to pay another $50 to $300 (depending on the size) for a memory card.
All in all this is a great little toy for kids, adults, people bored at home, or people often on the go.
