I love Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, I have it for the PS2 and it is great. The best game in the series by far. The game is well made, no problem with the controller. The song selection reaches from classic rock up to that heavier stuff. The addition of the head to head boss battles is a nice touch. It is a great game for both young and old rockers alike. I love to just sit at home and jam, or I will invite the friends over and we will really rock out.

this was given as a gift to someone who was borrowing guitar hero II from a cousin and when he received guitar hero III he immediately gave back II to his cousin and plays III non-stop. he seems to really enjoy the game as well as I do... I was worried about the wireless factor of the game controller but now we're able to sit on the couch instead of a chair in front of the tv.

My grandsons, ages 16 and 25, think this is the greatest game of the holiday season. They take it to other peoples' houses, and have hosted a 'guitar hero competition.' To me, a senior citizen, it seems a lot more entertaining than pushing buttons on a game controller.

I had heard about GH3, but really didn't think it was for me. After happening by a display in the store, and spending about 15 minutes playing Pat Benetar's Hit me with your best shot, we bought it. The wife and I love it, we are getting another guitar to play co-op/battle. Looks like the 80's disc has a better soundtrack though... Will be picking that up for christmas.

I'm not sure why some people were having trouble with the wireless guitar. I hooked mine up and jumped right in. The guitar connected immediately, and I have had no lag problems at all. I would definetly reccomend this to others. The wireless factor is a major bonus for me, and the fact that I didn't have any problems setting it up makes it a no brainer for beginners.

I had to return the GH III bundle I bought because the yellow and orange frets did not work at all. I just thought that I had bad luck and got a bad apple in the bunch. So, I was happy that all of the buttons on the second guitar worked. That is, until a few minutes into the game, the neck popped out a little bit from the body of the guitar and none of the buttons worked. In fact, I couldn't figure out why the buttons wouldn't work for a while. Anyway, after fixing that by popping it back in, I played for about an hour. Tilting the guitar to set off star power doesn't work! I had to shake violently and even then, it would only set off star power intermittently.
Not crazy about the set list. But I guess opinions can differ on that. But the pop-up note streak thing (i.e. the pop up that indicates that you have hit a 50-note streak, 100-note streak, etc.) is more distracting than helpful.
The battles with the "bosses" are really stupid. My addiction to the game is largely due
