Xbox 360 - NBA 2K8
I got an Xbox 360 for Christmas, and the only game I wanted with it was NBA 2K8. I have always enjoyed the 2K series, even back when they were partners with ESPN and had Allen Iverson on the covers. I've come to rely on 2K sports to bring me an awesome basketball game that focused more on realistic gameplay and good AI intelligence than a create-a-shoe feature. For this 2K8 game, they did it again.

I've always preferred 2K's graphics over Live's, and I still do. This year's game has some of the best graphics I've ever seen. Of course, it is the 360, and the only other game I have to compare it to is Madden 08, but still. The clarity of the game is amazing. You can see the sweat on the players when a post-play cut scene happens or when a player is at the free-throw line. You see the coaches on the sidelines and they look so real you almost believe you're watching it on TV. When a player shoots a free-throw, you can see the lines and the "Spalding" on the ball, clear as day. It looks so

Xbox 360 - NBA 2K8
I've been an NBA 2K fan since 2K3. Up until 2K6, it was THE BEST basketball franchise out there, hands down, no doubt. I was a huuuuge fan of 2K series until 2K7. In 2K7, they had a big problem with the online play on Xbox Live (framerate issue, that 2K tried to avoid fixing even after many people complained to them) which was just a horrible disappointment to everyone. well, it's a new season now and a new game from the 2K series. So I was expecting so much from 2K8. but what do I get from 2K8? so-so graphics, horrible menu navigation (again), ugly menus/font, no detailed custom match options, and most importantly, mediocre gameplay. the gameplay has a huge flaw that every video game review site has mentioned. TOO MANY MISSED EASY LAY UPS/DUNKS. you could be almost wide open under the basket and Yao Ming would miss a point blank shot, or you could be blocked by the RIM even when you're OPEN! are you kidding me 2K? are you serious? jeez. I'm so disappointed at 2K sports, I'm

Xbox 360 - NBA 2K8
I bought NBA Live 08 and NBA 2K8 to do a real comparison with the full game and not just a demo. NBA Live graphics are the best I've seen, and the game play has improved alot. KG can't be stopped on Live, he's a beast..NBA 2K8 graphics looks like 2-D and Live 08 looks like 3-D HD..I wish I wouldn't of bought NBA 2K8 for the first time. I guess you can't be the champ forever NBA 2K8..
