its a great product for the price it is offered. when it released it was priced $199 and now being on such a low price its worth buying and ATI and AMD companies have being launched their HD 4000 series its worth buying. Playing all latest games. The main thing you need to check on any Graphic card is to check the shader version and directX version. both these are supported with latest version.

This card is from ATI, as you already know. I don't personally play my games with this card anymore, but I used to. I was playing this game (Perfect World Online) when I noticed that I needed a better card if I wanted to play it on higher graphics. I had a couple hundred bucks from a tax refund, so I thought I'd get this one and not have to worry. I bought the card and I was able to play PWO on maxed out graphics with a great frame rate! then the new NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra came out, so i bought that one as a replacement for this one, but this one works. I loved this card when I had it, but I just wanted to buy the latest card so that I wouldn't have to worry about upgrading for a few more years. This card displayed a beautiful image, no hiccups, and I was able to play for as long as I wanted. I give this card a 5/5 and I do recommend it for those who have the money and are looking for a powerhouse card. God bless.

Just a note that my VisionTek HD 2900XT went down with no video after post. All I could see was 3 sets of wide vertical blue bars in both DVI and VGA mode. The card was about 4 months old and had been in use for about 15-20 hours a week. VisionTek replaced the card with no explanation of problem. Tech support was okay and the replacement card arrived in 3-4 weeks.

One more note. My package was missing the crossfire bridge adapter. I had asked for one when my card was RMAed but my request fell on deaf ears.

Overall I'm happy with the card for playing games on my 22" widescreen.

I was running two Radeon 1600 Pros in X-Fire. The newer games gave me problems because my system was too slow. I purchased one of these cards and now, I run everything on high. After playing my system with this card in it for thirty minutes, my thirteen year old son has to have one. Because I am the dad that I am, I ordered his today! Thank you ATI:)

For the money this card is great, works on anything, plus with crossfire you can run two of them, I did a lot of research compared it to 8800gts, at the time nvidia had problems with vista drivers, so i went to 2900xt, no vista problems at all with directx10, I love this thing, look no farther this card can run anything right now, keep in mind I'm using 24" gateway, which one the best out there at 1920x1200 resolution.

I bought one of these about 2 weeks ago and man am I impressed. I was running with two x1950pro's crossfired and just ONE of these bad boys outperforms them in every game I've tried it with. From Bioshock to World in Conflict this card doesn't skip a beat. I've paired this thing up with a Gateway 24" LCD and run all my games at 1900x1200 with everything turned up (except Antialiasing o.0) and it's like a hot knife through butter. My battery backup has a power meter on it, at load with an AMD 5600+, (1) 2900XT, two 150 GB raptors, (2) 320 GB Western Digital HD's, 2 GB of DDR2 ram and 2 optical drives my computer only uses about 400 watts of power! That's not bad at load, granted 2 x1950's used about 310 watts, this is still not ridiculous as some sites will have you believe. This is by far ATI's best offering and by far the best bang for your buck on the market today. BTW I have a 550 watt antec PSU, works great!
